Very disappointed in our new build. Cheap construction & quality. They used the cheapest appliances they could find. The 1st 2 builds in our community have double pane windows, ours are single pane & the condensation every day is crazy. They just threw the houses together as quickly as possible with multiple issues for the homeowners to handle. Our floors ate uneven, our garage wasn't working correctly, the refrigerator & dishwasher were so cheap we have already replaced them. We regret buying a new build right now.

This house should have never been handed over in the shape that its in. Terrible workmanship and everything seemed rushed. Zero quality control done for the price we paid. If someone spends close to a million dollars on a house you expect everything to be near perfect. Extremely disappointed and disgusted with the laundry list of punchlist items that need to be addressed.

Lennar was in a hurry to close the home. Because of this there are many items that didn't get taken care of on the final punch list. i.e. painting, paint on carpet etc.

As so may others, we moved here from out of state and waited patiently for the house to be ready. There is not enough room here for me to list all of things that were - and still are - wrong with this house. I am not referring to little nit picky things. I mean things as bad as dangerous exposed electrical issues that finally got fixed 7 weeks after we closed. Very rushed closing with hundreds of punch list items, some not fixed yet. Warranty service which is supposed to start at 30 Days is just now contacting us at 60 days. Sales and Finance teams delivered, and Construction team helpful, but corporate control of the process and follow up is non-existant.

That lennar doesn’t follow thru on issues. Lennar has been procrastinating on a leak in my garage for well over a month. The pavers have been removed from the side of my garage. How can it take so long to fix a leak. There is now a tropical storm coming. I’m concerned about flooding and possible damage to the slab.

I initially started working with one man he was no help helping me answer my questions. Meant with him twice before a purchased my home. Then he was gone. No one ever contacted me again. The construction side was great, they were attentive, prompt, fixed any issues right away, communicated well. The mortgage side was awful. They messed numbers up three times, over a month later told us we weren’t qualified to begin with, all because they never factored in 3/4 of our income from the very start. Too many people to talk to, no one knows what’s going on. Concerning payoffs is a joke. We paid down 90% of what we owed, provided more than enough proof that we did so, then argued that we had to pay Lennar the full amount still, we did. The contractor and the customer warranty woman had no time to talk to me…..waited a long time for cabinet drawers……I have a tree still down from Ian & the fact that I closed in the 31st of August, but still couldn’t move until 9/16 since I was waiting for drawers which I finally came in and placed on 10/24. Then one drawer was cracked, so they had to order a new one. That was just the tip of my experience.

The home buying experience was very frustrating. Our home was delayed by 4-5 months while other homes on same street that contracted 3-4 months later were finished earlier. Compared other homes we’ve had built, It appeared that Lennar just slapped stuff together so they could close. Now we have to deal with it through the warranty process which is inconvenient. Examples are broken window, front door doesn’t line up with hopes drilled, no hardware on the door, island 3/4 inch lower on one side, floors stained, no address plate on outside, and I can keep going. Response to warranty issues has been very good. However, the month leading up to our closing was absolutely brutal. We had to pressure Lennar to move the closing date back three times. The different divisions (construction, mortgage, title, sales, etc.) did not communicate with the other. The local construction people had no idea of our original closing date and weren't even close to having the house ready. On closing day the title company (Lennar Title) did not have the closing documents from the lender (Lennar) and we never had a final walk-thru or orientation prior to closing.

So many issues and lazy work that led to dozens of warranty claims in the first month. We were unable to move in as scheduled due to the volume. Was a shame to have so many issues including construction debris clogging pipes, electrical work not done correctly, etc.

Everything we were told was not actually true! They stretched the truth about all costs & bills, including insurance. Flood insurance & work that needed to be done before closing! We spent over $1,000 just to fly down for walk through which they said all work would be done before we move it & it was a waste of our time & money!!! Nothing was fixed before we moved in!!!

Buyer beware - false statements by salespeople, archaic, disorganized and unnecessarily time-intensive requirements that customers deal with way too many emails and multiple online platforms and excessive amounts of conversation with multiple employees in multiple departments, to get anything done. I suspect this is intentional, so that buyers just give up reading and writing emails and talking to way too many employees, and they give in to builder demands.
