Poor craftsmanship, horrible repairs, terrible warranty service and not a care. Wondering why we did this.

Builder and his representatives do not respond to problems beyond the first 30 days of purchasing. Everything becomes a warranty issue or an issue for one of the HOA’s. Not the easiest to navigate.

I will never purchase a new home from Lennar!!!!!!!!!!

While the building quality at CALUSA (3 stars) does not quite compare to Lakewood National, Cindy has been great throughout the entire process (5+ stars). We would not trust anyone more than her. Highly recommended!

Great experience! Everything delivered as promised and after sale support has been great for some very minor things!

The process was overshadowed by the buying experience… Frank who set up my celebration was extremely rude treated me as if he was doing me a favor. The reviews were spot on. I liked the house so much is the only reason I continued the process to purchase. I highly doubt I’ll buy another lennar home again love my house but customer service was ridiculous.

Our overall experience was very good, there were some issues that were not appropriately resolved without a struggle and that is unfortunate. We really had to work hard to get Lennar to do the right thing with some Warranty repairs.

my advice is look at every part of the finished product very closely.

Shawn is an amazing human. He answered all of our questions. We love our home. We have nothing but issues with the appliances. The refrigerator leaked water, the dishwasher didn't work, and now the stove is broke. Thank goodness one of us doesn't work so we could be home for all of the repairs. We are now waiting for a new memory board for the stove, the clear button is suck down and turn everything off.

We made a big move from Central New York to Florida in the middle of the winter and we couldn’t have been more happy with the outcome of our new home. The cherry on top is the fun pool and every evening with a beautiful sunset. Thank you from my realtor to the salesman and everybody else in between to make this happen.

When we had a question we received quick responses in a majority of the cases and again, the quality of the home and the complimentary garage floor coating was greatly appreciated - it's beautiful. One thing I wish Lennar offered was providing optional add-on features for such things as plantation shutters, ceiling fans and lights as well as having quality paints used instead of the Pure White super flat that comes off by merely rubbing your finger across it. Spraying an empty house with flat white is quick and cheap but not a quality solution.

Lots of issues that the CM could have caught before final walkthrough. Planting dead trees in the backyard and tried to convince us it is alive and well. Poor painting, lazy finish. Contractors parking all over streets. Garbage left behind daily from contractors. Rude follow up when needed repairs or assistance. Overall I’d never buy with Lennar again after this experience. It was extremely stressful after closing and it just didn’t need to be.

Since the beginning we had issues. First the list of things from our final walk thru were not completed and I had the biggest headache getting them done. We were never provided a blue folder which explained a lot of things like warranty and other stuff that a new homeowner should’ve known. I still cannot get a free paint from sherwin williams because I cannot register. They do not recognize my address. And my biggest problem is that we signed the contract on Black Friday and according to Lennar Black Friday special we supposed to get a large tv and surround system. No one knows anything about it, my calls and emails still unanswered. I have tried to escalate it but it’s going nowhere. No one wants to take any responsibility. Not my sales person nor his manager. Also recently I found out that my warranty requests are no longer valid because someone from Lennar said that we are living here for more than 30 days. I was not aware of that since again the blue folder was delivered to me after my 30 days occupancy. I really think that Lennar is doing this on purpose to get away from fixing things that should have been fixed before . ... More

I’ve heard a lot of horror stories about Lennar and I was very worried and skeptical I closed on my house on 12/29/25 and so far am very happy!

We were pleased with the whole closing process - nothing too difficult. As we were moving in, little things needed attention. Refrigerator water line was not hooked up. After a few days, it was taken care of. The dishwasher rinse box was cracked and needed to be replaced. That was taken care of within a few days after the second repairman took care of it. Our first week here, we inquired about garbage cans and recycling bins. That still has not been resolved 3 weeks after asking for help. Our garage door opener was dangling. That was repaired within a day or two. We never received our HOA coupon/payment books, or any mail for that matter, and found out we were late with HOA payments and were charged late fees. Still don't know where the coupon books are. Four different apps for making payments is a bit much, but I'm sure we'll manage. Had a tough time getting ceiling fans installed and working with the light switches. We still have painter's tape on the master bathroom door - touch ups were not done yet even though it was reported a week or two ago. Lastly, our Internet is not set up yet. That should be taken care of this week. We are hoping to be living there by next weekend, but in my opinion, most of these things should have been done prior to us trying to move in. The follow - through with some of the office workers isn't very good. I'm sure, with this community in its early stages of development, there are many issues that need to be taken care of. Our contact at Lennar has been nothing but fantastic. Would work with him or recommend him to anyone. New build home was built on time without any obvious delays from our perspective either. The final product has many finishing touch problems. Some are bigger problems than others: two lights have zero associated switches, hole in a wall, missing closet door, crack in another closet door with an arrow pointing to it (so it was known), paint on the floor EVERYWHERE. Hand prints on fresh paint, scuffed walls, etc. We were given an incorrect code to get in and no keys either. Little things, but still not hard to notice or correct before handing off. Time will tell if these punch list items get corrected or not -- its a big company so we remain hopeful. People are 10/10. They just need a little QC at the end to avoid pointless fumbles. ... More

Things are good. No major issues with our home. Our home is very nice!

Overall, the experience was okay, but far from smooth. I can’t imagine having gone through this process without a realtor representing our interests. The loan process was extremely stressful and felt disorganized, with poor communication between departments and, at times, an overwhelming and frustrating experience. On the positive side, the title process was excellent and the only part that went seamlessly. Our sales representative, Kim, was truly wonderful. When we discovered we had been sold the wrong lot—a very difficult and disappointing situation—her efforts to help and advocate made a significant difference. Without her involvement, we likely would have canceled the contract. Unfortunately, we were disappointed by Lennar’s lack of accountability and willingness to help resolve the issue. We never received an apology, and it felt as though the company’s priorities were more focused on its own interests rather than the buyer’s experience. That said, we are happy with our home. In today’s market, Lennar does offer affordable pricing, which can be a real opportunity for buyers looking to enter the market and secure a starter home. Terrible quality control, no finishes were Protected and it showed. I was rushed to close and have an open punchlist ongoing now almost 3 months. Certainly will not be telling anyone over at Lakewood national to move over or tell anyone I know unless they want to accept an overpriced sub par home. I could go on but none if this will make a difference cause you’re only interested in money, not the customer experience or quality. You cannot expect 1 CM to run 10-20 homes and get the same quality. By all means call me and I’ll explain from a general contractor side of things.

Throughout the buying process, Ted was polite, helpful, professional, knowledgeable and really made us feel welcomed & confident in our decision to buy. Ted even makes it a point to stop and say hello while at community gatherings.

The price of the house was good, everything else was mediocre at best. Craftsmanship was sub par, many issues im still dealing with 2 month later. Brand new washer leaks, fridge is dented from whoever installed it, finish carpentry is poor. There are hidden fees they don’t tell you about, like the service area assessment fee which is 274 a quarter! Buyer beware! Do your homework.
