We settled in July 2020. All our minor issues were addressed correctly the first time. This is the first time we were building a new home. We were moving from out of the state and had a family member monitor the process for us. They were impressed and decided to build with Lennar

This house presented a means to an end. We got a very discounted house with poor finishes. Because the price was low, we were able to tear out many low-quality aspects of the house and replace them with higher-grade materials.

You pay for what you get with Lennar. Eagle Home Mortgage is the worst company I have ever worked with.

We recently moved into a new home during the height of Covid. We are in an area where there are several different home builders. Having window treatments and all appliances included was definitely a benefit. Our neighbors had to rent a refrigerator and go to the laundromat as the back log for new appliances was weeks. My only critique is the quality of the kitchen appliances. The oven, microwave, and refrigerator are adequate. However, the dishwasher was bottom barrel as cheap as they get. After only 4 months, we’ve already replaced the dishwasher. It would be nice if Lennar had an option to upgrade appliances. ... More

Overall a great sales experience. After we purchased, warranty issue after issue. The roof had 15 cracks from poor workmanship.....still no warranty resolution. Many neighbors shared the same experience with the roof.

Warranty responsiveness has been excellent. Vendors providing the service not so much. Continue to find minor construction related flaws and submit my request for service.

I don’t know where to begin with our frustrations. This is the 4th house we’ve built and 2nd with Lennar. We were a return customer bc the our 1st experience was great from the sales agent they the after purchase customer experience. This time was a huge fail. The biggest fail being the sales agent. And that’s a huge statement considering we had to have our master bath redone due to a water leak and mold issues within the first month. Our sales agent was not responsive to our texts/calls on many occasions. I even had to call the ft Myers office twice to get an answer about the build. We were not local during the time of building and this makes it difficult to begin with. Then there were times where we would discuss something and he would do exactly the opposite or not remember. By the time we were closing, I never wanted to have to deal with him again. We felt lied to and like we were just people that all you wanted was our $ quickly despite any input or questions we had. I have kept our text conversations to remind me each time there was an issue in case specifics were needed. Also, you may be interested in knowing that he called me about 2 1/2 months after closing to let me know about this survey and asked us to please wait to fill it out til about a year from closing so they could fix everything. Completely shady. If you do your job well to begin with then that phone call doesn’t need to be made. The Build: Within the first week or 2 we noticed a leak in the master that must have been happening for a while. So for about 2 months after that we had a master bath that was being renovated and didn’t have access to everything in there. It’s what needed to be done bc of mold issues and we appreciate that but it made us question the rest of the house and still do. During that time we had a bathtub that wouldn’t drain too and needed attn right away. Of course we have had little repairs that are typical and needed to be done but there was easier fixes that just took forever. From closing our screen door didn’t work and that took about 2 1/2 mo to fix. All of this makes us question every little thing we see in the house. It’s upsetting bc it’s not a cheap house. Lennar 12 years ago this wasn’t an issue. Warranty dept: I can’t say enough great things about John who is our customer warranty contact. He is extremely nice and I don’t worry about hearing back from him when I have to leave a message. He’s had a lot thrown at him bc of our extreme upset due to the sales side and immediately following that came the bathroom issue. He’s handled it as quickly as he could and with the right personality. All in all, this will be our last Lennar home. As for any recommendations to future homeowners....we would not recommend Lennar. ... More

From visiting the Sales Center to the closing, this home purchase experience was pleasant because of the well trained, knowledgeable staff. In actuality, Lennar homes do a good job of selling themselves. From the ample homesites to the room layouts, from the landscaping to the all inclusive features, the houses are quality for the cost. Check out the details. At closing, take time to inspect the accommodations inside and out. Who knows, you may find minor details that need repair. Not to worry. The repair team will there at an agreed upon time. This is the third Lennar home I’ve bought. My feelings are when I went with a winner, why look further! Roof leaked after rainstorm. Many small repairs needed, e.g., painting, draws sticking, door locks not working, problems with pool fence, shelves in cupboards. Lennar Customer Care has been very good so far but don't know when leaking roof will be repaired. Cheap towel bars and hardware. This was a very expensive home and we are so disappointed in Lennar.

All persons i dealt with very helpful

Only issue we have is a kitchen cabinet door & panel on dishwasher to be replaced. The order was written up January 7, 2020. I texted & emailed our field representative for Gran Paradiso in Florida a month ago on the status of it with no response.

Great customer service.

We looked for our forever home and this is way it ! We are from the north and had no idea where to go. All arrows pointed here, and I am so very glad for this great move . Six months of heaven !

First time buying experience and feel the experience went smoothly and happy with home.

Lack of communication during build. Home finished 3 months late. Home was built well, minor issues right off the bat.

A good value for the money. Our house is very open and on one floor. I wish you had a few more options like larger laundry room, room for storage, etc. We had a bad construction manager which made for a bad process and many unfinished items once we moved in. Lennar’s process was not built for as many items as we had. However, they eventually were all completed. They need to ensure they look at each home with a critical eye before allowing someone to move in. If not for this experience, my rating would have been much higher.

Quality control isn’t very good.

we are really happy with out decision on having our home from Lennar, they really treat us with respect, and have good business manner, we recommend them to any one whom be in a position or have any interest on getting a new house.

Many finishing issues and double work for subs to come back and fix. Had issues with garage floor, paint, garage door etc

This is my first home purchase ever, so consider me a novice in home buying despite my research done ahead of time. They do earn your trust but in the beginning, it is so full of selling you this and that, false promises, etc. For example, my salesperson promised me a sound proof door considering that was a deal breaker to buy one of the last remaining houses in the community. 6 months later, still no door and learned that this should not have been made. I hate having to out work orders in only because I know the house is settling and it may require to have the contractors come out more than once but that's just me feeling like a pest. I love the 1 year maintenance warranty as the house settles. I wish somethings would have been disclosed upfront a little more and not oversold as they were good things, when they are not (appliances, etc). I never experienced Lennar homes before but am impressed overall with the home and the "Everything Included". LIke I said, first time homebuyer and it was a nerve wracking experience but they helped make the transition easy. ... More

Very attentive to concerns. Very prompt in assistance and extreme professionalism. So far I am very pleased

Lennar uses 100s of contractors, so there is no accountability for work that will require follow-up once you actually own your home. The walls are thin and provide no sound proofing, this includes the thin aluminum windows that seep air/moisture. They use matte paint throughout, even in the kitchen and bathrooms. "Upgraded Cabinets" means they are white in color- they are made of soft wood that will show even slight dings from regular use. The bathtubs are made of plastic and carpet will look worn and tired after less than 6m, even if you do not have pets or children. Lennare has repeatedly dropped the ball. They have not done anything that told us they would do when we bought. We closed in good faith, because they agreed to to fix avery long list of problems with our home. They have made excusses, take short cuts, tried to misslead us. Overall I have no trust or confidence that they do business with honor. I would never recomend them to anyone!

I have been pleased with my home purchase from Lennar. I have also been very happy with the customer service department and their prompt response at resolving any issues I have had.
