Completion date: remember the completion date is only an estimate of when the home will be available for occupancy. Home structure: make sure roof and plumbing do not have defects which could result in leaks. Finishing work: look for cracks in crown molding, drywall, paint on pavers and flooring etc.

Dont feel we received enough communication with timelines during the build process. We had to reach out many times. Would not use Lennar Mortgage company ever again. Our Mortgage rep was very difficult to work with and made the whole process very stressful. Mixed communication received on final walk thru between our CM and sales rep. Still working on getting some building issues resolved. It just to bad that the builders didnt take a few extra mins to take pride in their work we wouldnt have to have many different contractors to come back and fix their mistakes. There are some nice features in the house. We were not allowed to change anything even though we were willing to pay for tile in all rooms. We had a home inspector inspect the house and he made a list of things that were not done correctly in early August. We are still trying to get the last of those items finished and it is October 11th. We were not told the truth and closed on the house after being assured that all the repairs were completed only to find out that at l1 items were still not completed. The sales agent we worked with was fantastic and the mortgage person was fantastic too and got us a great rate. On the builder side, however, there were issues and delays. In several walks of the house, I listed several issues with the construction team and many of those issues went unsolved and as we live in the house, they continue to remain unsolved.

First of all, we we were on a waiting list for our home. Then, out of the blue, we had to endure a lengthy wait with stressful bidding...raising the price over 100k than original list price! Upon moving in, we found the the quality of trade workmanship sorely lacking. There were way too many issues on the punchlist and afterwards for any of the Lennar staff to reasonably complete in the 60 day period. We still have many issues to resolve...and a tilted ceiling that cannot be reasonably addressed. Love the place...just wish we had a much better experience. Thank heavens the salesman and ...

Disappointing home buying experience

I have purchased six homes and this experience by far was the most disappointing. Once you sign contract to purchase home the communication ends. There was no formal sit down process nor schedule given to keep you abreast of the process. Was not encouraged to meet or speak with the construction manager. Even when I contacted the corporate office and spoke with the regional manager, there was not a demonstration to take ownership of the situation and correct or improve the process.

There is no pride in workmanship when building. Also response time in taking care of warranty issues needs to be improved.

This house was definitely built for renter. Everything is cheaply made. Toilets started leaking, fridge has broken parts, front door is missing weather strips. The buying process was terrible. Lender and seller were not in tune with the community they were representing. The only reason I stayed in through the process was becuase they made eme put down 10% and would not return my money if I walked away. Never again with lennar

Our condo was completed in less than a year which we were pleased with. What I'm not so pleased with is we were left with broken bi-fold doors, a dishwasher and garbage disposal that hasn't worked since day one and still isn't working. Our outside storage unit wouldn't lock with the keys that we were provided so our outdoor stuff could have been stolen while we waited more than a month for it to be re-keyed. We also weren't pleased with the follow up from our sales rep, he was very unresponsive throughout the process. We have put in trouble tickets to fix the problems that are listed ...

I have tempered my expectations of the builder Lennar with all that has happened over the past several years with the pandemic, labor crunch and all of the other challenges facing individuals and companies. However, Lennar uses and iron clad contract where you follow their rules or they keep your 10% down and then sell your contracted home to someone else - to say they have you between a rock and hard place is an understatement. You have no options or upgrades, just a cookie cutter builder for low to middle class. Poor quality workmanship and rushes through buildings just to sell. After closing almost two months ago I am still waiting for repairs to be done.

My 3rd time building second time building a Lennar home, this has been the worst one by far. From the lack of communication, to the 9 week closing delay, the quality of work, missing items, incomplete items, no walk through etc. I would not recommend Lennar as a builder.

Many items not completed at closing but the buyer is still required to close. A neighbor had to close without a certificate of occupancy. It has been 4 months since closing and many items have still not been resolved. Example of issues: Wrong carpeting, chipped mirrors and flooring, missing window sills, missing screens, scratches, chipped and gouges in kitchen granite countertop, floor tiles scratched, bent garage door. tiles missing on roof, vent not installed on outdoor grill, dirty grout in bathrooms, bent lanai frames. Poor Workmanship - Its All About Moving On To The Next House

Workmanship was disappointing. The subcontractors are paid by the house so they are incentivized to move quickly to maximize how much they make. This does not result in quality work. In our house the ceiling is out of plumb by at least two inches, the windows are scratched and gouged, appliances dented, cabinets defective, trimwork cracked and poorly caulked/painted and the list goes on. We are still waiting four months after closing to correct many of these issues. It appears that Lennar has little concern with customer satisfaction and is only about closing and moving on to the next ...

Lennar was in a hurry to close the home. Because of this there are many items that didn't get taken care of on the final punch list. i.e. painting, paint on carpet etc.
