Easy process. Sales support was good. Usual sales tactics. Took some follow up for aftersell warranty fixes.

We were excited to join Angeline community and are going to be snow birds January-March. We were told we would close in mid October. The close date was moved up to mid September and thus we had a purchase earlier than desired. We were also told the clubhouse would be ready by year end and it is not close to being finished. As a big exercise enthusiast and swimmer it has added expense and travel to our stay this winter. Quality of cupboards is not great, dishwasher is a cheap model. Also trying to get some work orders completed-we had 2 cracked tiles, lots of paint drips in the house after touch ups, and drips in the sinks. We were told the paint drips are cosmetic and not their fault but there are drips all over the tile! Overall not very happy with the service provided by Lennar thus far. ... More

It has been a long hard struggle just getting the house. There were many set backs, which could have been avoided. Now that I am in the house, 2 appliances have failed on me, and it seems that I have to pay for the repair which again, was avoidable. The paint on the walls is so thin that I wiped it off just cleaning a stain on the wall

The house was not cleaned at all prior to closing, and we were promised that things would be fixed in the days after our closing. We still have not had anyone come to our house to touch up the damaged walls and paint issues. The concrete driveway has FOOTPRINTS on it from the construction workers, but Lennar says 'its within tolerance' so nothing will be done about PERMANENT FOOTPRINTS in our concrete driveway. Horrible experience and will never buy Lennar again. Also the sales agent Yatsi is among the worst sales agents we have ever dealth with. Totally clueless.

The loan process could be improved with better communication and more timely responses to questions from our loan officer. We could have locked in at lower rate and was discouraged to do so by loan officer and then it went up. I wish we had more finished home at closing. More attention to detail by the super would have avoided a lot of unnecessary tickets, however, the people handling the tickets after closing have been the best to deal with! (Josh, Maria & Matt). Still waiting on a few things to be resolved and we are 7 weeks after closing that were noted and should have been handled before we ever closed. ... More

Celecia was great very helpful from beginning to end - I’m just a little upset I was told trash was included in our hoa and it was not - joel w mortgage was amazing even though we ended up just going the cash route he still was awesome ! Anthony and Katie were awesome when it came to warranty time they really helped me get things done Tim the construction manager was such an angel a true blessing very helpful ! I’m super thankful for each and everyone my new happy blessed home I’m thankful to the lennar team -!

I love the idea of electronic signatures but I was constantly hunting people down to ask what's changed on documents I've already signed to the point where it was just an inconvenience. I spent hours reconciling before and after documents. I was also told certain things won't be changed, I belive it was the estimate document, because they are fluid. I'm sorry but I won't sign anything if it's not correct. Horrible experience!

The houses were put up too fast and there was a lot of mistakes that lennar made in our house . I had a wonderful project manager that was on top of getting most of them done to this point. Some others were not as lucky as we were with our project manager .

My bad experience was with Lennar Mortgage. With proof of employment, excellent credit and a generous down payment, they were not able to past the fact that my employer would not provide proof of remote employment. It was so frustrating that I paid cash for the house just not to have to deal with them. As far as the workmanship - overall, the house is fine but there are a list of issues where they just got lazy and did not check their own work.

The home provides good value for the price paid. The person I had for warranty issues did a GOOD job. However, other owners have had difficulty getting other point persons for warranty issues such as serious electrical issues to respond at all. The HOA, which is in charge of community concerns such as irrigation for new plantings, is close to unreachable. No phone calls to the HOA are answered: they go directly to voicemail. Phone calls are often left unreturned. It takes close to a month to get the HOA to approve or disapprove of home improvement plans such as having your lanai screened. Requirements for improvement plans were not accurately communicated to the owner when initially requested, leading to a rejection of the owner's application. Communication with the HOA is poor to non-existent. ... More

Our initial encounter with an agent was good, stayed on top of things communicated well with us. It was by happenstance that we learned that our agent quit and it was obvious the replacement was less than thrilled to take over our sale. I now understand this agent has been less than supportive of other clients whom was their first point of contact rather than an inherited client. Finger pointing and zero accountability for jobs not done in a timely manner or of good quality was chronic. Value.... appliances were at entry level and with the investment would have liked better quality. 2 weeks into our home we purchased a new dishwasher. Went to pull out the unit and all pieces are plastic and no insullation.... with a house full of tile.... no surprise the noise was horrible when it ran. Sad to have to spend additional money to get what I feel should have been better quality up front. Communication between agent, lender, title company and site manager between each other was lacking in serious way. To find out the closing was bumped by an email rather than any representative from lennar is unprofessional. Especially when the emailed communication was not sent to us until late afternoon and people had already left for the day. Too much oversight and as more and more houses go up in the rate they are, there will likely be many more issues for future buyers if this doesn't get under control. This is not our first lennar home. We knew what to expect on some of the warranty stuff but we were not prepared for the treatment we got from our 2nd agent and the lack of accuracy of why delays were caused to move closing dates. If there are too many jobs for one manager to adequately cover, hire more people. We like our house. We love location. We are okay.... just disappointed with the building process this time. At this time it would be challenging to recommend lennar. I'm fortunate to have a husband that is handy in construction so immediate fixes that needed to happen he did.... couldn't afford to wait weeks as it related to irrigation and leaking sprinkler heads and valves that were brought to the attention prior to closing. Still waiting for sod replacement. Had they waited to place the landscaping AFTER the water meter was hooked up it would have prevented the grass from dying before we even closed. All of which we were promised would be resolved. Rest of the walk thru work has been completed aside from one thing. So I do appreciate that Again, we believed we went into the purchase with our eyes open but was not anticipating the challenges we were met with. I hope this review is met with the intent I meant. I hope for change on things so that future buyers can provide rave reviews. It is much more enjoyable to share positive thoughts. ... More

Angeline 55+ Community has the worst contractor follow ups. We closed on our home August 30, 2023 during the hurricane, therefore we were unable to do the final walk thru none of the items were fixed and they still are not fixed, we keep getting promises but nothing happens. The internet is the worst!!! I have little or no service in the house, they put the box in the furthest point in the home and it delivers a very weak signal. I have talked to customer service and they say there is nothing they can do for us it's the internet provider but Lennar provided an extended to other residents of the community at no charge but they told me that that is not offered anymore and it didn't come with our package!! Package??? we did not know it was an option, nor did we know that the internet would be a problem. Because of the lack of weak internet, our ring doesn't even protect our home! I work out of my home and rely on the internet! We will never purchase a home from Lennar again! ... More

I am happy to say that from the initial contact with the online rep to schedule a tour of the new community, to the closing on my home, the process went very smooth. I was assisted at every stage of the loan process by my loan officer and processor who were very professional and responsive to any questions I had. I am so glad that I decided to buy with Lennar, they have delivered on everything they promised me and more. I would recommend Lennar to anyone looking to experience a stress free journey to home ownership, especially first time home owners.

Great experience, responsive to complaints

Entire experience was excellent in regards to purchasing a home.

Our sales agent was great when we first looked at the house and when we first signed the paperwork. After that everything went downhill. Our sales agent was no longer timely in responses and our Lennar Loan Agent was very unresponsive throughout the process to the point we went with an outside lender. He wasn’t explaining things as they were happening and just kept asking for more info anytime we reached out to check in on the process, this was the only time he talked to us. When the outside lender got us the loan and we presented it to Lennar we were told “well they got you the loan the same way we would have, so you have to use us.” Got put with the same agent who straight up told us “I don’t have time to do your loan because of the complications in it (we are 1099) so I am going to suggest to my managers to let you go with the outside lender.” Once we finally got close to closing, an updated price happened due to lack of product. We were updated and our realtor was updated but nothing was said to our broker which caused our closing to be pushed back due to paperwork having to be redone and numbers recalculated. At our blue tape walk through all of our switch and plate covers were absolutely covered in overspray as was the top of the refrigerator and the fans. There is a clear dent in the wall in the loft that looks like a door went through the wall and they patched it badly. We are currently dealing with a mold issue in our front hall closet because the drywallers put the shelf anchor directly into the main drain pipe for the house and it has been leaking into the wall for close to two months. Also the HOA expanded to include a sub-HOA for our neighborhood while we were under contract and we were not notified. We did not receive any HOA documents until a week AFTER we closed on our house even though we had been asking our sales agent for these documents for weeks prior. ... More

Painter sloppy, Tile floors marked up, dishwasher was not installed correctly… gaps in sliding doors big enough for mice to get through… I see the A/C repair guy at one house or another every day on my street.

Some issues got resolved immediately, but others are taking a while.

This has been a heck of a ride. The Lennar salesperson is great to deal with. Very charismatic and attentive. Unfortunately, as the salesperson, his work doesn't continue up to actual ownership and that is where the problem with Lennar lies. I highly suggest that if you buy from Lennar to get your own third-party inspector involved in the building process as soon as possible. There will be issues, trust me. Many of those will have already been singled out by the time if their New Home Orientation, where they promise that everything identified then will be fixed by the closing date. That didn't happen. It's been over a month, and there are still outstanding issues. The most frustrating one is how we informed that there were issues with the sod during this New Home Orientation process and the Lennar Warranty rep assured us it would just settle in and be fine, and that the sod would not be covered by warranty. But it was improperly installed, and that was identified before closing! So now I have to deal with dead grass, HoA citations because of it, and even though Lennar had been informed about it before we closed, they refuse to fix their improper sod work. We also have a grading issue that's been reported for a few weeks now. They insist that the construction manager will be in contact with us to assess it and fix it. No contact from him. We had a pretty attentive construction manager before closing, but they swapped him out after we moved in and the new one is non-existent. A whole bunch of things that should have been done in the period between the New Home Orientation weren't done. We're still waiting for a CO2 detector that they never installed. An unpainted wall that was identified during NHO took them about a month to get to, I'm still waiting for them to send their external painters to handle walls that were not properly covered outdoors. Their builders continue to build houses close by and they carelessly move their equipment around, which caused them to punch a hole in the curb on my house and Lennar refuses to do anything about it. This isn't even going into all the small defects such as broken cabinets, gaps in the walls, nails sticking out from the kitchen island, the incorrectly installed washing machine. Seriously, it seems like Lennar hires builders and contractors that are doing this for the first time in their lives and their warranty department will do everything in their power not to help. I am extremely happy with my overall home buying experience and would recommend Lennar without hesitation! My new home is stunning & well made. My sales rep Robin, construction site manager Mark and new home orientation guy Larry were all top notch! Friendly, answered all my questions & responded quickly to the small issues I did have. Was everything perfect, of course not, but I got a strong sense that Lennar cares about their quality and your satisfaction and they make every effort to make things right! I was sincerely impressed!

This is my second time buying with Lennar. It started off great but all went downhill. They kept pushing our closing out (understandable with new construction) but the worst was when we were scheduled for our new home orientation and we got a call less than 30 minutes beforehand when we were already almost there that the home wasn’t ready and our closing would be delayed (again). The construction manager was apologetic but I asked to speak to a supervisor and never got to. I had to keep following up for updates which was met with an attitude from Lennar. We were forced to do a very large earnest money deposit which we were afraid to lose. This caused us to sell our home early and move in with my parents so we would be ready because if we weren’t, we would lose that deposit. No consequences for Lennar not being ready, the unprofessionalism, or the horrible customer service. They moved our closing up a day because the hurricane was coming and agreed to fix some things that hadn’t been completed yet. They never did. They left us with dying grass they won’t replace now despite us taking great care of it. They are clearly building too many houses too quickly and don’t have the time to ensure they’re taking good care of the homes or the buyers. ... More

Home is substandard with poor workmanship. Lennar did not meet any of our expectations of a newly constructed home. Home was not finished by the closing date despite reassurance that everything would be done. We wanted to delay the closing until everything was completed but Lennar threatened loss of our 10% deposit if we did not close that day. Construction manager apologized and gave his commitment that he would personally make sure everything was done right but broke his promise the next day and said it was not his department or responsibility after closing.

My sales person was great. She was professional, timely and persistent . She emailed me consistently for 2 years before I purchased!

Quality and workmanship is poor.
