They moved the day to close so we had to pay for another night of keeping our stuff on the truck and had to pay another $300 for a hotel. The floors are very uneven and one of our trees in the back is not straight. Phil was great!

Fake info was provided to sign the contract and even after signing, proper support wasn’t provided so I had an extremely bad experience as a customer.

My overall experience with my Lennar purchase in Land O Lakes, Florida has been excellent! After 40 years working in and around the home building industry in the Maryland/Virginia area I have been truly impressed with the home buying experience. From the initial contact with Stephanie in the sales department, to Jon at Lennar Lending, and to the final punch out and closing of my new home this has been great! I have to admit that Lennar runs this entire process like a well-oiled machine, that I would recommend to any of my friends.

Overall the buying experience of my home was terrible. I had issue after issue and the neighborhood itself continued to be delayed. The communication from the company was terrible. I was never informed about delays until days before. There was never open communication. Everything seemed to be like they were hiding something. The day of my walk through no one showed up. I had to call to ask why no one was here only to be told I had the wrong date even though I had SEVERAL calendar invites and emails as proof. No one was ever considerate of my time. No one ever tried to work with my schedule. ...

Lennar mortgage was the worst. The documents gather didn’t have a clue and continued to call and notify us of duplicate documents and tax returns before they were even issued. Home quality is low, materials used are cheap including all appliances are plastic and cheap. Water heater undersized. House was dirty and stains on tile when moved in. Sprinkler system is broken with leaks. Front door hinges are facing out and are not safety hinges. When Lennar personnel notified they make excuses and don’t fix issues. The sales representative was excellent. He always immediate addressed our concerns. I did find the closing process quite confusing. New information can being forwarded to my email without explanation. seemed to be a very confusing process with lack of overall direction.

There was no time to review contract or HOA rules. You agreed with the price and the paperwork was on the salesperson computer. 75 to 100 plus pages on the computer. From that point on you needed to be computer literate. It was document after document on computer. We had to get someone to help us with every step. Lennar should have someone that these constant problems with closing can help with. We’ve bought at least a dozen homes and this was unacceptable.

Very good overall with just a couple of concerns. There was a large dead tree that Lennar planted in our back yard. Before closing I asked for that tree to be examined and straitened. When we moved in I found that I had to straiten up the tree myself but also noticed that the tree still had no leaves. I opened a service request with the HOA but was told that the tree was dormant. The tree is dead and the branches snap off.

It was a horrible experience. I was told I would not need flood insurance and then I had to get it. My garage floor is full of cracks and no one will do anything about it.

Be prepared for pushy mortgage process

While the sales team and quality team were excellent, the mortgage “process” (not the people) was very stressful. Lennar pushes to close quickly on inventory homes, and mortgages require many steps to complete, which means they do not give the buyer much time to produce documents, or information. They set the close date quickly and threaten to “lose your great rate”, if you do not meet the time demands for disclosure. They would not schedule my closing on a date I preferred, but on a date they wanted. I believe my situation would have been much more pleasant if these demands were more relaxed ...

I was given incorrect information when I first looked at the house and decided to purchase! Upon my final walkthrough I found out a refrigerator wasn't included in the price. I was told all you would need to buy is a washer and dryer. I was also told there tile would continue from the master bath into the walk-in closet when I asked if there would be tile or carpet in the master bedroom walk-in closet. 1. Purchasing process. We agreed to a price and began the process the next day they backed out and said oh well the price went up 30,000 sorry. This was after the agreement. As a first time homebuyer I like that everything I wanted was included in the home. I did not have to purchase any appliances or countertops. Everything was modern and the color scheme I was looking for. I love that the models I was shown all had open layouts. I had the opportunity to work with a great sales consultant and lender.
