Customer service from Lennar has to improve a lot compared to other builders. This Lennar home is my 3rd home in Tampa and had better customer experience from other builders. For eg: During mortgage approval, Lennar was not flexible to give me options to decide. the representative was very insisting on one option and was always late to respond to queries. another example is Lennar closed the home without appliances in place and took nearly a month to instal. The sales rep was responsive and patient with all my questions as a first time home owner. Other than that I found the closing and move in process a disappointment. During new home walkthrough my house was a complete mess and not at all ready for closing. There was no paint or carpet, people were working where I was supposed to be inspecting, there were major electrical issues, the wash machine and dishwasher did not work, a worker even had food in the refrigerator and freezer. There were things that we were satisfied with. In our final walkthrough some of the discrepancies were taken care, some were not. I understand the warranty section and having to wait until we got on the list to get those things fixed. But, the other stuff like touch ups that were marked with tape didn’t get taken care of. It’s not really a big deal because some of those things “we” as homeowners can fix on our own. Be prepared to pay more than advertised. Option costs are not included in web pricing and every house gets option adds. Be prepared to pay more the day you sign a contract. Our home went up mysteriously $10K the night before we were scheduled to sign a contract. Dishonest business practice. Fit and finish is something to be desired. Construction manager was very responsive to our questions, post closing. Suggestion: at closing, all incomplete work documented and signed by Lennar rep. And buyers as done by GL homes. This would alleviate buyer anxiety.

Delays in construction. The quality is terrible. We were made to do a walkthrough of the townhouse when there was absolutely nothing ready. They took another 4 weeks to complete. If that was known to the folks working there why would they schedule and walkthrough and try to close just to show the numbers at the end of month? Had roof leak on the first rain after moving in. Great response to attend that but being quality builder this is not acceptable.

There are a lot of little things in the house that look rushed like floor tiles not level and raised in areas. Our staid have a good finger width gap between the wall and the stairs and the carpet was laid on top of it hiding the error but my 2 year old found it. The downstairs hot and cold were switched so the cold is actually hot and the hot is actually cold. When buying the house we seemed to be told one thing by someone and then another by someone else so the process was stressful when it could have been very streamlined. The houses were sloppily put together to meet a deadline. It shouldn’t be the owners job to make sure that the construction services and trades did their job right. There should be more quality control and checking of peoples work. Finding issues every day the longer we live here

I was surprised at how little urgency was taken to make sure my home was completed before my closing date. At closing I was told that if I didn’t like the house, they could sell it to someone else.

Overall I am now happy with my home, but it took a while to get there. The builder did not finish things that were promised to me at my final walk-through for closing date, and it has taken a very long time to get those things completed. The office staff at my community was great to work with, but I was not as happy with the building process.

The price of the home is a was higher than I wanted to spend and the fact that the taxes will go significantly is discouraging. No one mentioned that when you purchase the home the taxes are based on the land not the house. After the house is built is when you get the real sticker shock

My husband and I chose Lennar because we were drawn to the "Everything Included" package and the community was very nice, quiet, and family oriented. Sadly when we got close to our closing date, the original construction manager quit and left MANY things undone. He failed to oversee some of the work done and the new construction manager had to come into MANY problems to try and get things going.
