The home itself is a decent starter home. However, there was lack of communication throughout the entire building process as well as promises for things that were not kept. Plans changed without relaying of information. We still are having difficulty with communication and the houses was “completed” 10/31/2022.

Lennar responded:
Hi, thank you for taking time to share a review. We would like to apologize for the poor communication and service you received during home purchase. If there is ever anything we can do to help, please send us a message at lennarcares@lennar.com. - Lennar Customer Care

Even small basic request were not considered/ denied during construction process . Inspite of saying we will bear the cost for the materials.?for example drilling a hole in the kitchen tile prior to putting up tiles. It’s not easy for us to do it now and more expensive to break things open. We paid over the asking price, I wish Lennar rep was able to consider such small request… backyard grading is pathetic . We purchased the lot so that we have enough space for kids to play. With such poor grading and water getting stuck it’s not usable at all. The original date for closing was October to ...

Horrible closing experience. The construction manager didn’t even show up for the final walkthrough. We were scheduled to close at 1PM but closed on 12AM that same day. And the house has a bunch of issues that have not been addressed. Horrible organization and even worse communication.

Big home builder with bad communication

Overall the process of booking home was smooth but after that it was a train wreck. Nobody, I mean nobody bothered to communicate when home would be completed. It was only after asking them almost once week they would reveal how long the delays are. My interest rate went up 50% during this time. What a shame. After closing, it took 6 weeks to take care of very minor issues. Things like paint touch ups took long time even though they were painting next door. I will think twice before buying from Lennar again.

Lennar responded:
Hi, we appreciate you sharing your detailed review. We had good experience from sales to closing process and then the final walk-through with the On-site Customer Care Manager. Everything was great until we had to submit a service request and dealt with a Lennar Customer Care Rep from Tampa Care center. This person became very hostile and rude when she couldn't answer my questions. Not only she yelled and accused me of yelling while I was speechless, she continued to bully me to shut me up. Very bad care services. I am very reluctant to deal with Lennar Care center now.

In my experience, buying the home was not the issue, it's been the follow up. Things like purchasing the home were explained clearly and upfront. Things like follow up about who to pay for the mortgage through Lennar the first month, how to pay the HOA, and how to get the key fob for the clubhouse or even where to get my mail from have been like pulling teeth!

There is a lot I could unpack here. 5 month delays, miscommunication, lack of communication, and being ignored. From sales to financing this entire team seems like no one has the right information...and those that do fail to communicate. The house itself is fine...but working with Lennar people is an exercise in frustration. They *say* they will answer your texts and return calls. They dont. They say welcome to the Lennar Family. Well this is a family that only sees each other on occasion and rarely speaks...

During the contract phase of the purchase we inquired about the HOA documents. They were sent to us and we signed the contract based on those documents. We went to closing with the understanding that we could build a fence based on the styles offered in the HOA documents and found out that we were given the wrong HOA documents. Lennar offered no recourse to this issue. Had we been given the correct information prior to signing a contract we would have chosen a different community. On the other hand; the development is beautiful and will be an asset to the community. We have been in our ...

The community is a good-looking community BUT since we got here, there are TOO MANY issues with the CDC not properly following up with things to do despite there is a major budget. So where does this budget money go? Also, they cancel meetings most of the time and the homeowner have little to say because they do not want to listen during the meetings. Also, gates are not working, sometimes the water fountain stop working, palms are all over the entrance, flowers have not been replaced nor the mulch and the grass looks pretty bad in many houses. After buying the house, there are so many ...

Our sales agent was great when we first looked at the house and when we first signed the paperwork. After that everything went downhill. Our sales agent was no longer timely in responses and our Lennar Loan Agent was very unresponsive throughout the process to the point we went with an outside lender. He wasn’t explaining things as they were happening and just kept asking for more info anytime we reached out to check in on the process, this was the only time he talked to us. When the outside lender got us the loan and we presented it to Lennar we were told “well they got you the loan the same ...

I purchased a single family home a +55 Active Community and would not ever purchase from Lennar again. Attention to detail and simply doing the job right the first time is lacking. 1. There was not a model for me see so I relied on assurances from the salesperson about certain aspects of the home. The model I toured had large lanai similar size to the one on my house. The model has a hose spigot. I specifically asked the salesperson if my house would have one and was told yes. After the house went up and I inquired why the spigot wasn't there, I was told no. 2.I have doors that open onto ...

very disappointed at the quality of work that was done with the house. The first week we moved in the AC wasn't working properly. then a week later went completely out and we needed to get a brand new AC unit. a lot of cracks on walls and floor boards. There's an issue with the design outside that it still not been fixed. The dishwasher seems like it was not installed properly because it takes couple of attempts to actually close the door. Zero QA/QC in our home. Customer care reps were sympathetic at first and helpful, but as we have been putting in the numerous daily work orders the past 2 months, the quality of service has dropped enormously and close to zero cares given. It all started to go down hill during the construction process and has now trickled down to customer care experience.

The communication can definitely be better all around. I constantly had to reach out for things and do my own follows ups. One of our first walkthroughs i scheduled to have a home inspector come in. He was barely able to do his job the A/C unit was not hooked up. The only appliance that was plugged in for testing was the refrigerator. Those were one of the biggest things. I scheduled in advance for the inspector to come 1 week before the walkthrough and got the ok. I let the construction manager know that if things were not going to be ready for walkthrough they should have let me know so I ...

Communication was the biggest problem working with Lennar. As a first-time homebuyer, my experience was ruined because of my sales rep. The title company also gave me poor service as well. I was called after 6 pm to close on my house at 8 pm because that day I wasn’t even sure If I would since I didn’t hear from anyone. So I didn’t leave the title company until 10 pm.

Our advisor was very knowledgeable but unfortunately, he had a family emergency during our home buying process from the very beginning and was told to contact 2 other Lennar reps if we had any questions. They were no help at all. Never let us know what was going on and never returned calls. This was the most crucial time as we were in the actual home buying process.
