This is our third Lennar home and it will be the last! The quality of workmanship is very poor. The response to our issues is slow. A lot of promises were made. Even the mortgage side was a bit disappointing!

This has been a heck of a ride. The Lennar salesperson is great to deal with. Very charismatic and attentive. Unfortunately, as the salesperson, his work doesn't continue up to actual ownership and that is where the problem with Lennar lies. I highly suggest that if you buy from Lennar to get your own third-party inspector involved in the building process as soon as possible. There will be issues, trust me. Many of those will have already been singled out by the time if their New Home Orientation, where they promise that everything identified then will be fixed by the closing date. That didn't happen. It's been over a month, and there are still outstanding issues. The most frustrating one is how we informed that there were issues with the sod during this New Home Orientation process and the Lennar Warranty rep assured us it would just settle in and be fine, and that the sod would not be covered by warranty. But it was improperly installed, and that was identified before closing! So now I have to deal with dead grass, HoA citations because of it, and even though Lennar had been informed about it before we closed, they refuse to fix their improper sod work. We also have a grading issue that's been reported for a few weeks now. They insist that the construction manager will be in contact with us to assess it and fix it. No contact from him. We had a pretty attentive construction manager before closing, but they swapped him out after we moved in and the new one is non-existent. A whole bunch of things that should have been done in the period between the New Home Orientation weren't done. We're still waiting for a CO2 detector that they never installed. An unpainted wall that was identified during NHO took them about a month to get to, I'm still waiting for them to send their external painters to handle walls that were not properly covered outdoors. Their builders continue to build houses close by and they carelessly move their equipment around, which caused them to punch a hole in the curb on my house and Lennar refuses to do anything about it. This isn't even going into all the small defects such as broken cabinets, gaps in the walls, nails sticking out from the kitchen island, the incorrectly installed washing machine. Seriously, it seems like Lennar hires builders and contractors that are doing this for the first time in their lives and their warranty department will do everything in their power not to help. Home inspection personnel were not helpful and comprehensive during the inspection. Too much in hurry to get it done Much left unexplained.

Communication was not the best. The morning of closing, was told we might not get the home due to documents that were needed and not told to us until day of closing. Did not get a lot of information from Lennar rep. Thing that are supposed to get fixed still are not and can’t get ahold of correct person to do so. Will recommend due to beautiful homes but will no recommend due to lack of communication

Lennar makes a great final product… if it ever gets finished. Lennar forced us to move into our house early when there was a list of at least 28 items long incomplete. That includes broken cabinets and glass, holes in walls and electrical problems. We move in a month ago and have maybe brought the list down to 26 items. Lennar sold an unfinished product just so its management can receive bonus. Dirty business. Home once complete I’m sure will be beautiful.

In my opinion, lennar rushes through walk through and there is a lack of supervision while the house is being built. A house should only be allowed to be sold if perfect. Total lack of crafmanship....

Painting was terrible on the doors. Drips everywhere. Paint overspray on fixtures, paint on every hinge. Excess caulk around entire floor. Still fixing issues.

Overall it was a below average buying experience with a few bright spots (personnel) alone the way. Home was delayed four months and quality was subpar. Upon completion, it seems lennar took many shortcuts on these homes. They didn’t provide basics for homes such as doorbells, lights in the front of the house and basic countertops. This is our second lennar home and our first was way better at a much lower price point. This will probably be our last.

The home is not up to the standard that I expected from Lennar. We have lived here for 3 months and are still waiting on things to be fixed that we told them about before we closed.

Not even 3 months owning the home and a leak from the upstairs vanity ran down through the downstairs ceiling and caused damage. Have been under repairs for over a month and still not completed.

Alot of work had to be done in the house,after closing as the workmanship is so poor.We still have a hole in our foundation needing to be fixed and our fence has still not been put v up as promised nor has the grass been re graded or a retention wall placed as promised.Itvis a nice community but buyer beware.

Two cabinet doors broke right after we moved in. Kitchen floor toe kicks paint came off. We are still waiting for cabinet company to complete repairs but the closest appointment is in mid November. Disappointed

Many issues after closing

The buying process and went well. There were small issues that were addressed with the home itself. Bigger issues have not been resolved and I feel I am being ignored by Lennar. A construction worker broke a sprinkler head, I told Lennar but nothing was done. Due to the busted head, my water bill was extremely high. I was told Lennar would reimburse me but needed to provide 3 bills. I did and never heard anything back. Two trees in my front yard died and the house was not 4 months old when it happened. I told Lennar but they said they do not cover that or it is not under warranty. Getting into the house, everyone is ready and willing to drop everything to help. While the financing process had its challenges, the personal experience of working with the team was positive. However, it seemed that the sales department was somewhat misleading regarding the selection and purchase of the home. They were quite insistent that the prices of other homes would be significantly higher than the existing one, possibly to meet their sales goals. I would advise future homeowners to conduct a thorough inspection of their house before signing any contracts. During our cleaning, we discovered overspray on the glass doors, windows, and countertops, as well as some cracked cabinets and leaking plumbing drains. On a positive note, the neighborhood is very beautiful, and the friendly neighbors help ease some of these concerns. ... More

get the checklist of repairs done before closing

It was not that easy as I assumed to buy a home with Lennar, very poor and little cooperation from seller and especially the mortgage team.Due to the unavailability of the Mortgage person i had to go with higher rate of interest. Very little information was provided on house construction status and have refused to change closing date to 2 days before due to my availability. Apart from it I have referred 5 of my friends who bought the house and no referral bonus was provided. The issues addressed during the orientation were not even addressed. Overall it was a bad experience.

So the sales process is very easy. Great mortgage rate towards the closing costs. Now here is where it goes sideways. We had a leak in the laundry room, all a Lennar issue. Took them 6 weeks to deal with it and it is still not fixed. Tiling issue in the kitchen, not yet resolved. Would I buy again, no, this is not a good company and the price reflects that they cut corners everywhere!!!!

No construction updates, unfinished items still after closing, lost keys by construction crew. Phone calls to construction manager and sales representatives go unanswered.

Repairs take too long. Have to wait for workers to arrive. Disrupts the day waiting on workers when you have things to do.

I am very disappointed in the quality of the kitchen cabinets. Not enough space and set too high.

Was told upgrades were included with no upgrades available. Mortgage was difficult to reach and misrepresented the taxes and didn't explain very well. I received 7 or 8 estimated closing documents and not one was correct! Would not recommend

Home buying experience was ok. Our Mortgage Loan officer was Amazing and our job site Superintendent is amazing. However, the quality of this homes is cheap and with no taste at all. Materials are cheap, kitchen Granite is ugly, Master Shower is cheap and you don't get to choose any other details or make any changes to your own home. Appliances are cheap too. So you are paying $401K for $100K value home. Very sad!
