If you are looking for a low-quality new home built by low skilled trades people Lennar is an option. Quality is below average, you are pushed to close regardless of the condition of the property.

We had lots of issues…during framing we saw missing walls and closets. Holes made in the subfloor as well. After move in, it’s been a constant battle of fixing roof leaks, plumbing leaks, and workmanship issues. We wish we never bought this house.

Worst Homebuying Experience I’ve Ever Had

This is my second time buying with Lennar. It started off great but all went downhill. They kept pushing our closing out (understandable with new construction) but the worst was when we were scheduled for our new home orientation and we got a call less than 30 minutes beforehand when we were already almost there that the home wasn’t ready and our closing would be delayed (again). The construction manager was apologetic but I asked to speak to a supervisor and never got to. I had to keep following up for updates which was met with an attitude from Lennar. We were forced to do a very large ...

they are pushing these houses out so fast that a lot of things aren’t finished by closing and the final product is rushed. workers don’t take pride in their work and very sloppy. glue on floors, paint on tile and granite. Paint not even finished in some areas. no pride taken in their work and appears they are hiring people who don’t really know how to built. pieces being cut to small and still using those pieces. my cabinets have dents in them, like they had been dropped and still used. cracks in floor before moving in. door knobs don’t work right. sockets and lights put on crooked and not ...

The home itself is a decent starter home. However, there was lack of communication throughout the entire building process as well as promises for things that were not kept. Plans changed without relaying of information. We still are having difficulty with communication and the houses was “completed” 10/31/2022.

Even small basic request were not considered/ denied during construction process . Inspite of saying we will bear the cost for the materials.?for example drilling a hole in the kitchen tile prior to putting up tiles. It’s not easy for us to do it now and more expensive to break things open. We paid over the asking price, I wish Lennar rep was able to consider such small request… backyard grading is pathetic . We purchased the lot so that we have enough space for kids to play. With such poor grading and water getting stuck it’s not usable at all. The original date for closing was October to ...

Big home builder with bad communication

Overall the process of booking home was smooth but after that it was a train wreck. Nobody, I mean nobody bothered to communicate when home would be completed. It was only after asking them almost once week they would reveal how long the delays are. My interest rate went up 50% during this time. What a shame. After closing, it took 6 weeks to take care of very minor issues. Things like paint touch ups took long time even though they were painting next door. I will think twice before buying from Lennar again.

We had good experience from sales to closing process and then the final walk-through with the On-site Customer Care Manager. Everything was great until we had to submit a service request and dealt with a Lennar Customer Care Rep from Tampa Care center. This person became very hostile and rude when she couldn't answer my questions. Not only she yelled and accused me of yelling while I was speechless, she continued to bully me to shut me up. Very bad care services. I am very reluctant to deal with Lennar Care center now.

In my experience, buying the home was not the issue, it's been the follow up. Things like purchasing the home were explained clearly and upfront. Things like follow up about who to pay for the mortgage through Lennar the first month, how to pay the HOA, and how to get the key fob for the clubhouse or even where to get my mail from have been like pulling teeth!

There is a lot I could unpack here. 5 month delays, miscommunication, lack of communication, and being ignored. From sales to financing this entire team seems like no one has the right information...and those that do fail to communicate. The house itself is fine...but working with Lennar people is an exercise in frustration. They *say* they will answer your texts and return calls. They dont. They say welcome to the Lennar Family. Well this is a family that only sees each other on occasion and rarely speaks...

During the contract phase of the purchase we inquired about the HOA documents. They were sent to us and we signed the contract based on those documents. We went to closing with the understanding that we could build a fence based on the styles offered in the HOA documents and found out that we were given the wrong HOA documents. Lennar offered no recourse to this issue. Had we been given the correct information prior to signing a contract we would have chosen a different community. On the other hand; the development is beautiful and will be an asset to the community. We have been in our ...

The start of the process was great, the sales team and mortgage group did an outstanding job (great communication, attentive to questions and concerns and just a pleasure to deal with). The walkthroughs were ok, a bit rushed and even items pointed out prior to the walkthrough weren’t all corrected (some weren’t corrected after the first walkthrough, and were rushed to correct just prior to closing), because of this several items were missed. The warranty group, although they are polite, they did not address the issue we were having and even closed the warranty ticket after an escalation ...

The loan process was a complete nightmare! We literally showed up to closing and were told that our loan had not had its final approval and had to wait an additional 3 hours for them to get it figured out. Mind you, this was after we were told the previous night at 8:30 that we were good to go. No one called us to let us know of the rescheduling either which is completely unprofessional. We also had to continuously provide the same proof of funds over and over and over again. The community is a good-looking community BUT since we got here, there are TOO MANY issues with the CDC not properly following up with things to do despite there is a major budget. So where does this budget money go? Also, they cancel meetings most of the time and the homeowner have little to say because they do not want to listen during the meetings. Also, gates are not working, sometimes the water fountain stop working, palms are all over the entrance, flowers have not been replaced nor the mulch and the grass looks pretty bad in many houses. Our sales agent was great when we first looked at the house and when we first signed the paperwork. After that everything went downhill. Our sales agent was no longer timely in responses and our Lennar Loan Agent was very unresponsive throughout the process to the point we went with an outside lender. He wasn’t explaining things as they were happening and just kept asking for more info anytime we reached out to check in on the process, this was the only time he talked to us. I purchased a single family home a +55 Active Community and would not ever purchase from Lennar again. Attention to detail and simply doing the job right the first time is lacking. 1. There was not a model for me see so I relied on assurances from the salesperson about certain aspects of the home. The model I toured had large lanai similar size to the one on my house. The model has a hose spigot. I specifically asked the salesperson if my house would have one and was told yes.
