Bad Communication and unkept Promises

There is a lot I could unpack here. 5 month delays, miscommunication, lack of communication, and being ignored. From sales to financing this entire team seems like no one has the right information...and those that do fail to communicate. The house itself is fine...but working with Lennar people is an exercise in frustration. They *say* they will answer your texts and return calls. They dont. They say welcome to the Lennar Family. Well this is a family that only sees each other on occasion and rarely speaks...

I’ve been overall pretty disappointed with Lennar throughout the entire home buying process, even afterwards dealing with issues that continue to arise. As I ask around, I hear more and more how Tampa area Lennar has a bad reputation and I wish I knew that coming in.

Never can get an answer from someone. They always have to ask someone else. Repairs are very slow to be fixed! Neighborhood needs to be taken better care of.

During the contract phase of the purchase we inquired about the HOA documents. They were sent to us and we signed the contract based on those documents. We went to closing with the understanding that we could build a fence based on the styles offered in the HOA documents and found out that we were given the wrong HOA documents. Lennar offered no recourse to this issue. Had we been given the correct information prior to signing a contract we would have chosen a different community. On the other hand; the development is beautiful and will be an asset to the community. We have been in our ...

The start of the process was great, the sales team and mortgage group did an outstanding job (great communication, attentive to questions and concerns and just a pleasure to deal with). The walkthroughs were ok, a bit rushed and even items pointed out prior to the walkthrough weren’t all corrected (some weren’t corrected after the first walkthrough, and were rushed to correct just prior to closing), because of this several items were missed. The warranty group, although they are polite, they did not address the issue we were having and even closed the warranty ticket after an escalation ...

I had a very bad experience , the sales agent doesn't responsive and they cut down the price drasticallly next day i signed the contract, and i requested to give me some upgrades or adjust to compensate to that but they are very rude, and the loan clearance asked certian documents which took little while to get and they scared us if you dont close the home on the day you will be fined $300 per day . The loan process was a complete nightmare! We literally showed up to closing and were told that our loan had not had its final approval and had to wait an additional 3 hours for them to get it figured out. Mind you, this was after we were told the previous night at 8:30 that we were good to go. No one called us to let us know of the rescheduling either which is completely unprofessional. We also had to continuously provide the same proof of funds over and over and over again. We were told that we recieved our final approval approximately 1 week prior to closing but were still asked to provide ...

The community is a good-looking community BUT since we got here, there are TOO MANY issues with the CDC not properly following up with things to do despite there is a major budget. So where does this budget money go? Also, they cancel meetings most of the time and the homeowner have little to say because they do not want to listen during the meetings. Also, gates are not working, sometimes the water fountain stop working, palms are all over the entrance, flowers have not been replaced nor the mulch and the grass looks pretty bad in many houses. After buying the house, there are so many ...

Our sales agent was great when we first looked at the house and when we first signed the paperwork. After that everything went downhill. Our sales agent was no longer timely in responses and our Lennar Loan Agent was very unresponsive throughout the process to the point we went with an outside lender. He wasn’t explaining things as they were happening and just kept asking for more info anytime we reached out to check in on the process, this was the only time he talked to us. When the outside lender got us the loan and we presented it to Lennar we were told “well they got you the loan the same ...

I purchased a single family home a +55 Active Community and would not ever purchase from Lennar again. Attention to detail and simply doing the job right the first time is lacking. 1. There was not a model for me see so I relied on assurances from the salesperson about certain aspects of the home. The model I toured had large lanai similar size to the one on my house. The model has a hose spigot. I specifically asked the salesperson if my house would have one and was told yes. After the house went up and I inquired why the spigot wasn't there, I was told no. 2.I have doors that open onto ...

very disappointed at the quality of work that was done with the house. The first week we moved in the AC wasn't working properly. then a week later went completely out and we needed to get a brand new AC unit. a lot of cracks on walls and floor boards. There's an issue with the design outside that it still not been fixed. The dishwasher seems like it was not installed properly because it takes couple of attempts to actually close the door. The Warranty team are helping when they can but for a house that's 589k brand new, I shouldn't have to all these things that my family and I are going ...

Zero QA/QC in our home. Customer care reps were sympathetic at first and helpful, but as we have been putting in the numerous daily work orders the past 2 months, the quality of service has dropped enormously and close to zero cares given. It all started to go down hill during the construction process and has now trickled down to customer care experience.

The communication can definitely be better all around. I constantly had to reach out for things and do my own follows ups. One of our first walkthroughs i scheduled to have a home inspector come in. He was barely able to do his job the A/C unit was not hooked up. The only appliance that was plugged in for testing was the refrigerator. Those were one of the biggest things. I scheduled in advance for the inspector to come 1 week before the walkthrough and got the ok. I let the construction manager know that if things were not going to be ready for walkthrough they should have let me know so I ...

Communication was the biggest problem working with Lennar. As a first-time homebuyer, my experience was ruined because of my sales rep. The title company also gave me poor service as well. I was called after 6 pm to close on my house at 8 pm because that day I wasn’t even sure If I would since I didn’t hear from anyone. So I didn’t leave the title company until 10 pm.

Our advisor was very knowledgeable but unfortunately, he had a family emergency during our home buying process from the very beginning and was told to contact 2 other Lennar reps if we had any questions. They were no help at all. Never let us know what was going on and never returned calls. This was the most crucial time as we were in the actual home buying process. When we moved in, we had quite a few issues with things around the house and to get those things fixed it was just a nightmare. For example, as we did our walk through, we noticed that the paint on the outside of the house did not ...
