Closing on the house was a stressful situation in itself. I've had several issues inside and outside of my house to include quality of craftsmanship and quality of material. My door frame has been split since before moving in but I could not see due to the builder painting over the split in the frame until recently due to opening/closing the door on a regular basis and the paint wearing off. The drainage in the yard has been an ongoing since I moved in.

What a stressfull experience!

My bad experience was with Lennar Mortgage. With proof of employment, excellent credit and a generous down payment, they were not able to past the fact that my employer would not provide proof of remote employment. It was so frustrating that I paid cash for the house just not to have to deal with them. As far as the workmanship - overall, the house is fine but there are a list of issues where they just got lazy and did not check their own work.

They concentrated too much on mass production and just getting to closing!

They do not check houses, appliances, smart devices, etc. enough before closing. They think it is best to just wait for the buyer to complain after closing, and then they try to be “customer friendly” but they are usually too busy to take care of the many problems that should have been taken care of before closing, Most appliances our of the lower value.

We had lots of issues…during framing we saw missing walls and closets. Holes made in the subfloor as well. After move in, it’s been a constant battle of fixing roof leaks, plumbing leaks, and workmanship issues. We wish we never bought this house.

I have emailed 5 or 6 times about our garage door. It makes alot of noises(snapping,groaning,clunking) plus if the button isn't held down it stops sometimes

Really wish they would've taken there time more. You can really tell the house was rushed with quality of workmanship. I would've liked to move into a new house and not a 90% complete house. The first month was nothing but people coming fixing holes, texturing walls, painting, stucco repair, washing machine flooding, two windows not opening, damaged cabinets, missing/damaged molding, etc. It was quite irritating having tradesman in our house fixing things on a house that wasn't finished. I am a repeat customer with Lennar and this experience was not at all like my first one. So many things were wrong with the house and we purchased in May. I was built too fast and no one paid attention to details. I would not recommend Lennar to anyone

Unfortunately day3 of moving in I had a leak that caused the spare room to have to have the carpet removed and the wall. It only has been a month and a half and I still have a dirty makeshift cover in my bedroom for the contractors which is ripped. The start of the process was great, the sales team and mortgage group did an outstanding job (great communication, attentive to questions and concerns and just a pleasure to deal with). The walkthroughs were ok, a bit rushed and even items pointed out prior to the walkthrough weren’t all corrected (some weren’t corrected after the first walkthrough, and were rushed to correct just prior to closing), because of this several items were missed. The warranty group, although they are polite, they did not address the issue we were having and even closed the warranty ticket after an escalation ...

I had a very bad experience , the sales agent doesn't responsive and they cut down the price drasticallly next day i signed the contract, and i requested to give me some upgrades or adjust to compensate to that but they are very rude, and the loan clearance asked certian documents which took little while to get and they scared us if you dont close the home on the day you will be fined $300 per day . I dont recommend to any of my frienda

The loan process was a complete nightmare! We literally showed up to closing and were told that our loan had not had its final approval and had to wait an additional 3 hours for them to get it figured out. Mind you, this was after we were told the previous night at 8:30 that we were good to go. No one called us to let us know of the rescheduling either which is completely unprofessional. We also had to continuously provide the same proof of funds over and over and over again. Honestly this was my 3 home purchase but if was the worst of the three. More stressful, communication wasn’t good at all, timeline kept changing, walkthrough and final walkthrough did not repair a lot of things that were broken or damage. Plan to purchase again but it will not be with Lennar.

Lennar's workmanship is surprisingly sub par. This is truly a production home and that is what you get. There are such minor design features they missed that would move their home from below average to top notch but unfortunately, Lennar's home design team must be novices at best to have missed such minor things in their floor plans, at least in the many plans we reviewed. The community is a good-looking community BUT since we got here, there are TOO MANY issues with the CDC not properly following up with things to do despite there is a major budget. So where does this budget money go? Also, they cancel meetings most of the time and the homeowner have little to say because they do not want to listen during the meetings. Also, gates are not working, sometimes the water fountain stop working, palms are all over the entrance, flowers have not been replaced nor the mulch and the grass looks pretty bad in many houses. Second time buying a home and this time around It was not very pleasant. With the exception of Tee the everyone one else lacked good communication. From Ben the builder to Karlene my phone calls were never returned or emails answered. Going over weeks.

The quality and the materials used in the whole house are not the best standards. There are gaps, and unfinished work, and the materials used are very basic quality. Even the amount of time and follow-ups it takes to get unfished works done from construction managers is also humongous. If no follow-ups, nothing we'll be done. So a lot of waste of time even after paying for the house.
