our house AC flooded 2 months after moving in. It was a horrible experience and hardly anyone helped us get things resolved until the Regional Manager stepped in. Ken did an incredible job but all other employees of Lennar that I talked to seemed uninterested and negligent while our home was flooded.

The experience was tough not in a bad way but more frustrating with the documents process and the communication other then that they got my loan pushed through and I closed with no issues I would recommend them again with no hesitation just needs a few tweaks to help with the load of loans that they have

While I do not believe my home is a disaster, I do feel there is a culture of doing questionable work for the sake of turning a sale quickly and then returning to resolve the initial lazy and sloppy work. Our builder told us he was in our home quite a lot during the build, but he failed to faithfully audit his teams work. What the SINGLE MOST OFFENSIVE thing he did was cause damage to the doorway the day of our closing and was not responsive to fixing the damage. Lennar employees we worked with were very nice and helpful throughout. My main complaint is the agent said we were getting certain amenities to the house such as the house being set up as a smart home. That wasn’t the case. There were other things we thought we were getting with the home but were disappointed when that was not so. I love our new home and our community, but the lack of knowledge of my agent displayed and the let down we felt put a sour taste in our mouths about lennar. finishing of corner areas and fine points sub-standard. shower had to be re-caulked after a few months. bath tub is noticably not square. i measured it 1/2" off. the dividing wall between shower and tub is also crooked. noticable gaps between floor and bathroom cabinets. House was not cleaned prior to move-in. Window holes are also not cut square. Just waiting for something major to break as AC units, washing machines, and crown moldings issues are already happening in other homes in the neighborhood. Sales people were nice Project management are willing to correct any issues immediately We purchased the Hartford model. We love the flow of the home. After being in the house 6 months, my only dislike is the master bathroom. The shower and water room are backed up to the living room wall and everything can be heard when being used. This design flaw could be corrected by switching the sink and lining closet with the shower and water room.

Water leak in the house

Two days after we moved in, we found the bottom of our kitchen cabinets were wet. We contacted Lennar right away and they left us without water for 24 hours and drilled through the concrete to find the leak. Three weeks later, it turned out there was another leak which was the result of an unconnected AC pipe from the second floor, flooding the kitchen for a month. Lennar only blamed their contractor, Bayonet Plumbing, the entire time. 30+ people came in and out of our brand-new home for a month, leaving us impossible to stay home due to the construction in the kitchen.

Disclosure about flood insurance and the rental townhomes directly across the street from my house we were never informed about these issues. If we had known we were in a rental community we would not have bought, the agent in the model was not informative.

We found a lot of mistakes and after being in the home for a few months we still see things that were not fixed but at this point, we are told that is cosmetic. We still have a big hole in our back yard which I've almost fallen a few times. Just received a letter in the mail that my CCD cost is going up and my monthly mortgage also went up. We still have no pool or playground as promised when we moved in but we have about 75 more new homes. While I don't love all of the things about Lennar, I will say their response time to issues is amazing. I don't like the fact that after your final walk through, they will address no cosmetic issues. Some things simply aren't seen until you move in. I had an outstanding salesperson and the customer care person is equally terrific. They should fire their painters.
