Lennar's loan process was great! I moved across country and was on a roll getting everything moved in until it started raining here. I had a serious roof leak the first night it rained hard here which was only 2 weeks of me living in my new home. My third floor hallway was soaked with water and there was a small leak in my master bathroom. Water was coming out of my smoke alarm and ac vent in the hallway. I had to pretty much stop everything and postpone all my furniture and holiday plans to deal with this. And, I am still dealing with it a month out. Lennar's warranty team has been awesome so I am grateful for that! Very nice, responsive, and helpful (Lee and Bill). You would think the roof would be the most secure thing though especially in Florida. The leak in my master bathroom is still leaking and not fixed. I am still a little skeptical if the leak on my roof was actually fixed properly or just a temporary band-aid. Some of the workers they send out do not have the best communication. Some other quality issues; front and patio doors not sealed properly, paint peeling, bad caulking, bad tile work in the bathrooms. ... More

The overall homebuying experience was abysmal to say the least. The purchase was so invasive and overly personal regarding expense explanations. Robert R the senior loan processor and Steve A. were incompetent, unprofessional, and RUDE. Some examples: I was in the process of a divorce (hence the purchase), and some explanations were needed (I understand). Robert R. asked for an explanation of "downsizing" from one home to the next (mind you the size difference between homes was ~300 sq feet from 2700 to 2400). I explained to him via DocuSign that the downsizing was due to the divorce. He weaponized underwriting and said it was an "unacceptable" explanation. Excuse me? I worded in a superfluous manner to satisfy his needs. He then asked why I made more overtime this year than the previous year. I'm a police officer with access to arguably unlimited overtime. I provided an explanation via DocuSign stating I was going through a divorce so I had more time on my hands for overtime. He said “A divorce has never caused more overtime to be authorized in a work place” and demanded a letter from HR to explain why I was making more money!! The audacity is shocking and I'm getting annoyed just reviewing our previous correspondence. When he was provided with this letter, he then told my HR Director that his explanation was INSUFFICIENT! He had to supply him with a second letter of explanation. It was embarrassing and unnecessary. I relayed this to him and Steve A. who referred to him as a "bulldog" and "just doing his job". I can provide another dozen explanations, but I implore you to refer to all of our emails to get a grasp of how obnoxious and overly invasive they were. Thankfully I have the fortitude to deal with this because this would have absolutely pushed any number of prospective buyers over the edge as I almost decided not to purchase this home because of them. During the closing process, I was informed I did not submit documents to satisfy DTI issues. I had to screenshot the already submitted documents and highlight the areas on behalf of Steve A. and Robert R. I submitted 50+ documents for this loan. Furthermore, Robert R. essentially threatened me with homelessness the day before closing because he did not agree with Steve A. on my DTI over an RV payment, I was not able to pay off before closing. I explained my DTI was not even at 40% INCLUDING the RV and he said I would not be able to close on the home. After a heated exchange he apologized and said he misunderstood what I was paying off at closing. I submitted all of the appropriate documents showing I had paid off the debt required to have the agreed upon mortgage and figures etc. On closing day, I was up at 6AM to sign the closing documents remotely when I discovered the figures were not as agreed upon. I had movers, 3rd party installation companies, etc. set to come at 9AM. Nobody returned a phone call to me until nearly 10AM. Thankfully finance management team processed the loan with the documents already submitted. I didn’t get a “congratulatory” text on closing until 5PM. What was supposed to be an exciting day, albeit bittersweet given my divorce, was miserable. Steve and Robert’s total and utter incompetence stripped any joy from this day. This was the 4th home I’ve purchased in the last 10 years or so and it was the worst purchase and closing I’ve ever experienced or heard of. I show the emails and demands to friends, colleagues, etc. to gauge objectivity and everyone is in shock at the lunacy. I honestly hate that I supported this company because of how poor this experience was and I hope the right people read this so the next customers aren’t robbed of a fun and exciting closing day. If any of the phone calls were recorded, please listen to them and hear it for yourself. Steve was condescending and Robert was the rudest “professional” I’ve ever dealt with. The Christian in me forgives them, but they were truly awful. They delivered on the time frame for completing our new home.

From the time I toured the model homes, signed the contract, lending process to the closing was such a streamlined experience. I decided to use Lennar's lender and I am glad I did. It was so easy and was always able to reach a live person to answer any questions. I believe the entire experience took less than a month. We are now in our new home and could not be happier.

Start to finish was a wonderful experience, everyone was easy to work with, spacious well thought out floor plans.

We didn’t have mail for 5 weeks. Lennar changed our town and zip twice within 3 weeks and caused is to lose packages, checks, gift cards, and bills. We are still having issues to this day with address standardization. Imagine losing birthday presents and having your credit card declined at stores due to incorrect billing address issues caused by Lennar. We had to do our own research how to get mail and garbage and utilities setup. Why did I have to leave work in the middle of the day to argue with multiple postal employees in person about missing mail. Not sure why there was no guidance or support once we signed the papers. It made us feel the only thing important was filling a home site and move onto the next one. House itself is good. Water heater could be better but I’m thankful that our problems are all in the admin side. Do better Lennar. ... More

From purchase to closing to move in to resolution of issues the Lennar team was competent, helpful and responsive to our questions and concerns. In a relatively short period of time we settled in and feel comfortable in our new home.

Overall, our home is wonderful. However, it has been difficult to get in contact with our liaison regarding issues. We have had minor issues with plumbing and A/C but have been able to apply them to our home warranty which was helpful.

At this point has been a wonderful experience. Thank you Lennar team. We have small problem with the door bell and the response was very fast. Once again thanks…

Buying and closing was unnecessarily very stressful

Buying my first home was just a goal more like a dream a few months ago. When Suzzet called and told me that she had my new home I thought that was gonna be a protected move for the following year…The process to apply online was very easy and the fact that I was not treated like a buyer I was treated like family, made my experience so much easier. I consider my family and myself blessed to have gone through this seamless process and be sleeping in our forever home. Over all happy with my first new home!!

Good home buying experience in new port Richy area.

This organization is without a doubt the most inefficient and unorganized operation with which I have ever dealt. There is nothing more to add.

Every part of the homebuying experience was easy and well-informed. Would do it again.

Went through the walkthrough on a friday and were supposed to close on Wednesday. Get to the home on Wednesday for final walk and most of the punch list was not completed. Construction manager said he just checked the home this morning and saw things weren't done. So no follow up and no care for getting things right. Part of the roof needed re-shingled and told on the morning not doing it. No warning or heads up, fix was shoddy work also. ended up having to have a run in the roof re-shingled day after closing.

Very frustrating with the process and arduous data requirements. Although the staff was helpful they seem to be hindered by rules that are arbitrary and rigid. In the past 15 years we have purchased several properties and with a credit ratings above 850 we had to do the preponderance of work where in other loan companies we do very little of that.

Being a first time homebuyer my experience was stressful , but Lennar made it as easy as pie! Thanks Gina for your expertise and your hard work .

The process was stressful because 1 month is not enough to buy the house. The people are kind. The fix was good. I hope that by the end of the year doing great. SS

I had a great overall experience throughout the entire pricess.

The entire experience from talking with sales, choosing home, working with Lennar Mortgage and Title and all the people I worked with was smooth and wonderful. Everyone was an excellent communicator and everyone answers when I called. The experience far exceeded my expectations. Lennar really has it together with their current people, departments and processes. The experience could not have been beter.

We had a super easy experience buying our condo with Lennar. From our realtors Debbie and Donna to our excellent Lennar support staff we were very pleased with the price and experience. The Lennar team was extremely knowledgeable, professional and responsive. The place was absolutely perfect when we closed. Cuddos to Lennar and the great people who work there. Happy to be coming to Florida the best state in the union.
