Waist of my VA home loan

If I could do this all over again I would definitely go with a different builder. The home that me and my wife purchased was very cheaply built. I waisted my VA home loan and I wouldn't recommend anybody to buy a home from them. They use cheap contractors to build and fix things so you pretty much get way less than what you pay for. I've been complaining about different issues shortly after moving in.

I should've spent more time looking at details, like door bell, roof gutters, and garage outside lights. Little things that make a home more beautiful. Staff was great though.

A tale of two Lennars

The sales team is second to none. Responsive, customer oriented, etc. The construction and warranty team are not cut from the same cloth. Not my job, not covered, hustle to get us to sign off on shoddy work. The sales team went above and beyond to make things right.

Worst buying home experience EVER!!!

Although this should have been one of the most exciting times in our lives....it was ABSOLUTELY the worst. If you buy a Lennar home be prepared for whole bunch of promises on the front end (before you sign) and be prepared after you sign to fight with Lennar over EVERY single issue that you have. (The warranty) Also, they switch up the rules for what they promised in order to meet THEIR needs and not YOURS!!! No one wants to take responsibility and they like to pay pass the buck. I strongly recommend getting a home inspection before the drywall goes up... it might save a lot of mental ...

We are enjoying our new home, but as we actually live in the place we have started to noticed a few things. I think one of the biggest issues is a lack of quality workmanship. There are paint splatters everywhere, we even have a paint footprint in our entryway. Didn't notice it at first because it blends in with tile colors but when the light hits it just right....boom...there it is. Speaking of the tile floor...several high spots..nothing major...just enough to notice when you walk barefoot. Trim work....well a lot of chalk in some places to compensate. Sales person was great! The girls that did one of the walk thru with me was so patient and my final walk thru with C was excellent. Explained everything and I was able to call him if I had any questions.

Really wish they would've taken there time more. You can really tell the house was rushed with quality of workmanship. I would've liked to move into a new house and not a 90% complete house. The first month was nothing but people coming fixing holes, texturing walls, painting, stucco repair, washing machine flooding, two windows not opening, damaged cabinets, missing/damaged molding, etc. It was quite irritating having tradesman in our house fixing things on a house that wasn't finished. very poor workmanship and quality

subcontractor and superintendent have come out to fix thing and just make thing worse. My Husband and I have been in the construction industry for many years and this is the worst customer service. maybe you should have the subcontractor and superintendent who built the model build the rest of the development very disappointing.

make sure all items are completed and done properly because you have a great hassle trying to get them resolved with the 'Warranty/customer service dept". Also, really check the outside of your home for slope and drainage... it has been 4 months and the drainage/slop from and between homes has yet to be properly addressed. there are times we have a small bass pond between the homes. it seems there is always something else to blame vs fixing the problem! will strongly stray away from a Lennar build again.

I closed on the property 11/30/2019 but did not move in until 03/21/2020. I had heard from owners who had moved in before me that the quality of the water was awful. It smelled like rotten eggs. I expected this issue to be resolved by the time I moved in but it hasn't and I have to boil my water before I can use it. There are more issues but I don't have enough space to continue.

I was pleased with the personal attention I received from such a huge builder. Just like ANY new home there were small things that needed attention. Every single thing I asked for was done. They don't just sell you a house and disappear. I felt like my Knowledge rep truly cared that I was happy. Over all, my home buying experience with Lennar was great.

All walkthroughs; initial and final needs to be better. At final walkthrough our home looked like it needed a lot of touchup that a 5 year old can see. Not sure why this was taken care of before we went so we could spend limited time we had on important issues. Aesthetically it just was ready. People who giving the walkthroughs especially for us the initial walkthrough here wasnt very good as the guy seemed like rushing us and gave us very litttle info on the home, eqiipment etc

Everything was good up to the closing of our property, we been having some serious issues within our landscaping, and after reaching to them several occasions for options in how to fix the issue, not for them cover the expenses, but for us to get guidance on how-to work the issue. This is a huge "red" flag in any future problems that might come up, which is a shame since everyone up to this point were been really helpful from Sales (Julie) and Finance (Alex) true MVPs. I hope that we can get it sort it out.

So many things that was supposed to be repaired but wasn’t. The lake is filthy with garbage. Concerned what health hazards it might posed to us. It Hasn’t been cleaned in the 4 months we live here. The workers broke the apron on my drive way, from driving over it due to all the work trucks blocking the roads, and I was told it’s not warranted because it’s not half inch wide. No listens or hear. We feel so violated and disrespected. Sad that We bought into this development.
