HOME BUYING DISASTER

House was a mess when we moved in. Walls needed repainting and when they repainted the workers got paint on carpet, tile, everything and it is not cleaned up yet. Our A/C has gone out 3 times and is still not fixed. No one from Lennar follows up when work order is put in. Finally, the HOA is charging us a late fee because Lennars title company sent them a faded check that HOA could not cash and cannot get a hold of the title company to cut a new check. I would not recommend to anyone to deal with Lennar.

The homebuying experience has been less than ideal. From putting in an offer on the house being told last minute that I can’t close due to a quote on quote SHA policy until my family member outlined the FHA guidelines did the sales team change their tune. The lender that was referred by Lennar again not great. I asked multiple times during the process for additional review of my good faith estimate, and was told I had to get back with the sales agent who never returned my emails. Chris who is on the construction side has been the only person to follow up and show any type of customer service. ...

This is our third new home and has definitely been the worst of all three. The craftsmanship and details are lacking. The response from Lennar has been lacking and when they do respond, they say it isn’t covered or need to call another company.

The only positive I've had throughout my experience is with my Sales Consultant Joe Casinguay. The Construction side of Lennar is Horrible! Communication, Quality of Construction, Integrity, Pride is workmanship from their Trades is nonexistent! My first new construction experience and I will not do it again unless I'm my own General contractor. If you care about buying a quality home and having good communication with the builder, Do Not Buy from Lennar!!!!!!

This was the most unorganized build I have ever had. I used Lennar mortgage and title, thinking it would help communications. However, none of them seemed to communicate nor even know what the other was doing. I had unbelievable issues at every step. My closing was a disaster of miscommunication and they ended up missing 2 pages for me to sign. Then hounded me to sign the pages and fedex them. I have moved to three other new built houses in the past, this was the worse experience ever. From beginning to end- starting with the sales person, who did not know much, everything had to be asked to supervisor, she provided wrong information. I was told all the closing cost would be covered and it was not, I am still waiting for answers, since November 29th- closing date. Lennar is horrible. Offered an outrageous interest rate. Had us do a walkthrough when the house was nowhere close to being ready. Rude and unaccommodating staff. Extremely stressful and disappointing experience.

Was really excited to buy my first home and everything seemed great at the beginning. That was about the only good experience. From the buying experience, to the build, to the close, everything was a nightmare and I would never recommend Lennar to my worst enemy. My new home was delivered unfinished. No follow-up on when things will get fixed. To name a few issues of MANY, my kitchen is unfinished, closet doors were not painted correctly, all doors are damaged, concrete floors in porch and patio are ruined, and after closing, we found out there is no infrastructure for the internet (we live in a "connected ultra wifi community."

Horrible experience, will not recommend anyone to buy a Lennar home. Pressure their client’s to close on homes that are not finished and getting them to do any repairs is a hassle.

I have owned several homes in my lifetime. Some new builds and some resales. NEVER have had such a terrible experience as with this home. When I wasn’t being ignored; I was being lied to. I have done my best to patiently work through the Lennar process but at this point I am all out of nice.

Worst workmanship. Worst carpet/framing and lack of accountability and response

My new house is a bundle of issues. Starting from the exterior to the the interior of the bathrooms every part of the issue had bunch of issues. There were so many bulges and dips in the every room whereever there is carpet. The issue was raised before closing and is not fixed yet. The carpet and the padding inside the carpet are so cheap. Beneath the carpet we found trash, the people who did that didn’t even care to vacuum the area before installing the carpet. Very BUMPY ride

In the beginning we had a few hiccups but everyone was available and supportive; however the bad experience started on the first day of the walk/ through when I was told it had to be done on a particular day and many things were not completed in the home. Since that day it has been an unpleasant experience. I finally realized no one cares once you’ve signed on the dotted line.

I am not a happy Lennar Customer! Too many issues to list here. It's exhausting. Poor communication, paid way too much for the quality of the home--materials, appliances, workmanship, quality or lack thereof, slapdash finishes, severely poor responsiveness, lack of integrity and more. All of this wears you down and leaves you angry and stuck.

I would never buy another Lennar home

Hi, This is my third lennar home, but my experience of buying of third lennar home was really bad that I would never buy another home from lennar. I had primary home and investment home from lennar prior to this...they were forcing me to close home with open drywalls and lot of work pending. Can you imagine closing home and some attorney coming to your home on Saturday evening 9PM to close home ? They forced me to do this although still pending items. They said If I dont close it today I will lose my 10% security deposit and my interest rate will go up even my rate lock doesn't expire ...

This is by far the worst new home experience ever, due to the fact that the home was poorly done and rush with missing cabinets in which I have to wait until Feb to get finished, poor and sloppy job on the interior painting in which half of the wall were not even touch and had to paint myself. I went in to this experience with Lennar with an open mind even though I read many bad reviews. In the beginning it was good and everything was progressing nicely. Then it hit dates changed multiple times which led to us being homeless for some time. Then we finally closed and it was evident that there was no detail to attention but we were promised it would be taken care quickly. Now two months in and I believe I have set the record for warranty ticket which the majority of them are not resolved. In short I will never but another Lennar home if I have a choice.

Quality of workmanship and materials are very poor. After an initial evaluation of the home, issues were notified ahead of time. The builder manager agreed to solve the issues and by surprise, the manager changed the mind and didn’t complete any updates as requested. After spending several thousands, I had to close with many defects in the home. Lennar didn’t complete the initial walkthrough issues identified and after two months of the closing, they haven’t fixed all issues.
