Great floorplan and love the house but materials and subcontractors Lennar uses are mediocre at best,

Unfortunately the quality of the materials used to build these homes has gone down significantly.

To date only one of the many repairs noted during the final walk through has been accomplished. Quality and responsiveness has been poor.

We closed on the house 2 months ago. We couldn't live in the house for most of the first month because AT&T, who is the only supplier of internet and TV for the subdivision, did not have service to our location. The builder should have known that. Also, we still have outstanding items from the pre-closing punch list that are not resolved. The Home Care people contact us every couple of weeks to say that they are having a meeting to make a plan to solve our issues, but we are still waiting for them to fix cabinets and install the correct garage door. Practically every day we identify other short-comings in the build, like there isn't any insulation above the morning room and all of the bathroom tile needs to be cleaned due to dried grout or other material on the surface. The crown molding was butted together, rather than overlapped, so gaps are starting to show between the pieces. We expected a much more positive experience buying a new home in this community but have been disappointed with all of the outstanding issues that we have to manage. ... More

It appears all they want to do is sell houses and once you buy one you are put on the back burner. Enjoy the community and the neighbors.

Throughout my experience, the communications between the On-Site Realtor and my Realtor and Lender broke down significantly. When we tried to bring Barron’s Manager into the loop, she also did not respond to my call or my Realtor’s call. The straw that broke the camel’s back happened when I showed up the morning of my closing for the final walk- through and Darin, the construction manager asked did I get a call from Baron the on-site agent. I had not received a call and could tell that I wasn’t closing that day, Lennar had to dig another trench for rain water runoff. Baron knew this the night before. I understand nothing goes totally smooth, but had I have known the night before, I would had rescheduled the movers for my actual closing date. Due to the lack of communication, we had to pay for a month of storage and bring in another moving company to move our items into our Braemore home. Darin the construction manager and Hunter the customer service agent were great. I probably could have let things go without sending this response had Baron just called me to tell me our closing would be rescheduled, but instead, I waisted money. ... More

Mark has done a very good job making repairs and has done what ask of him. Very friendly and enjoyable to work with. Jerry was brought in to help with repairs and he too was very good at helping to complete the tasks that were ask. Michelle has been very helpful with answering questions and Diane was outstanding at arranging our mortgage.

It was good experience to purchase house built by Lennar, however, the finish touch of garage is not satisfied at all.

Do not close on a home and believe that they will have things wrapped up when they say they will. Would not recommend.3 months in huge crack in ceiling doors won’t open on back of house. Lennar is production builder and it shows. Get them in and close.

Mike and Jamey were fantastic! They each take pride in the homes they build. You would think they were building the home to live in themselves. Very much Appreciate their attention to details, expertise and professionalism! Thank You Guys for a Beautiful and Quality Home!!

We've been in the house now for 90 days and have not yet had one problem. I think that is amazing. They really worked hard to knock out our punch list prior to moving in. We love it thus far!

Several issues found after moving in. Very annoying. Most were addressed to our satisfaction.

For $400,000 you expect a certain quality in a home. This does not live up to the expectations. Very poor quality paint, sheet rock, tile work, workmanship and appliances. When we moved in the oven didn’t work, the dryer outlet didn’t work, the dishwasher leaves the dishes unclean and wet, paint feels like sandpaper, paint peels off the doors if you try to clean the glass or they get wet, crack in ceiling about 6 feet long in the kitchen. The Sheetrock is a very cheap quality and very thin. You have to be very careful when you try to mount towel bars or toilet paper holders. The grout is crumbling on the backsplash in the kitchen. The tile in the master shower is unlevel and water puddles in the floor about a quarter inch in spots. When asked to repair the crack we were told that it is a common problem in this floor plan and we should wait until the year end inspection because they will only fix it once and if we do it now the house will continue to settle and it will crack again. The same was said for the nail and screw heads that are popping through the paint already. They wish they could do it more than once but if they do it for us they have to do it for everyone. Top row of rock on the front of the house was installed wrong and they were told when it was first done but they said we would have to wait until the final walkthrough to address it and other issues. Then they said the contractor told them that it was the correct way to be installed and they wouldn’t change it. Therefore the grout on the top row of rock wouldn’t seal to the siding because they tried to use a clear silicon and it wouldn’t fill the gaps. They then tried to fill the gaps with mortar and it looks awful. Paint on the outside of the house is of a poor quality and so thin you can see the strips where the paint was applied. Interior walls feel like sand paper because the primer was sprayed on before the walls were cleaned and the paint adheres to the dust making it rough. The paint quality feels like rough chalk. Molding all through the house feels like it has sand on it and has never been sanded. The yards were sodded with dead grass and we were told it would grow back, it hasn’t. The sod was not rolled properly so the yard is rough and the grass didn’t root the way it should. There are bald spots all over. The side yards were not graded properly so they don’t drain the way they should leaving wet, boggy, muddy areas which are conducive to mosquitos. We love the area and the people that live here. At first glance the homes are pretty but when you move in you find the materials and workmanship to be lacking. ... More

Excellent experience but it will require you to stay on top of the building process to reduce errors.

We found Lennar to be "Top of the line" in home building and selling them.
