The quality of the homes is terrible. I've never had soft walls that you can damage with a finger nail. The structure itself is sturdy, but the materials they use are low quality. Considering the price I expected a better quality home, but anytime I mentioned my disappointment, I was told "you pay for what you get in your price range". I am paying half a million dollars! I do not expect to be met with cheap building materials! The people in customer service are great to talk to and are very friendly. Over valued. Had a list of work that was intended to be completed before closing and was never finished. Poor joints in the trim. Home wasn’t clean when we moved in. Exterior and interior paint not finished. Leaking plumbing. Wiring issues with garage doors. HVAC issues. Doors not hung properly. Loose exterior stone.

We love David, our CM, and Caren was great! The purchase and loan process went smoothly for the most part, but when the house was being completed and after we have moved in, we have been very disappointed in the quality as well as the team that filled in for David when he was sick. John (I believe his name was) was very dismissive of actual issues, didn’t actually tag the house prior to close, and said things that were frankly untrue about home building, and missed the most basic things, like leaving filthy filters in the home at close. Lennar has responded quickly, but after nearly 2 months many issues are still not resolved. The workmanship is poor, and we have been dealing with a very hot upstairs due to A/C issues. The price and location was good, but we have been underwhelmed thus far.

-Buying process was painful and the price on the contract didn’t match the verbal price we were told. -Early on during a scheduled visit, I noticed the wrong bathtub and shower was installed. It took a month of nagging to get someone to confirm that the wrong shower was installed. This ended up causing a 3 month, last minute delay of our home being built. -the sheathing on my roof has about a 5 inch gap on it. I assumed a vented roof cap was going to be installed. The people we worked with have been great, the process of getting into the house was smooth. Then we moved in and discovered very poor workmanship throughout myriad details in the house, details that will ultimately cost us a lot of money and time to fix and/ or affect our resale value down the line. We had a few things addressed in the beginning and then have been ignored. Our neighbors have communicated similar issues. Lennar has cut costs on so many fronts, as cheap as failing to give garage door opener keypad. Windows Sil, cap/trim for half wall, opener for third car garage, window in the stair area, cover for patio, retaining wall for slopy backyard, soft close for the kitchen cabinet doors & drawers are all missing. The quality of workmanship & materials is very poor. Response to issues takes months!

Buying from Lennar was like being bullied into a deal. When we bought the house they shortcut a lot of things. The sub contractors were not caring at all about their craft. Lennar forced us to stick to the contract even though they were weeks behind on their work. The final walkthrough was scheduled after the closing date. They refused to budge on adjusting time frames and owning up to the work that needed to get done. By the time final walkthrough happened. We had a very bad experience from beginning to end. The only reason we stayed with Lennar was because of the property. We have had issues with the mortgage, title, and builders. With in one week of moving in we had to have our AC unit replaced. Kitchen sink continues to slowly drain and we are told that nothing is wrong with it. I would not recommend this company to anyone

As a former licensed realtor and third time homeowner, this is by far the most awful home buying experience I’ve ever not only personally experienced but seen in the industry. Lennar is not well established in Idaho and is unable to find decent contractors to build their homes. While these homes have nice layouts and they buy decent materials to put in the homes, they are built horribly. Our home’s floor was never leveled and there are large gaps between the floors and baseboards and our floors bubble in places and our back sliding door is difficult to close because it’s uneven.
