We started three years ago to find a new home to retire in, in the state of Idaho. We saw the hand of the Lord move in finally bring us to the Lennar development known as Mandalay Ranch, in Caldwell, ID. After searching for the time that we have and picking out the features and design of the home we wanted, the home Lennar offered provided 90% of all we wanted in the asking price. Decent value for the money . Read your contract you don't get all what you see in there show houses. Lucky I'm not a lawyer there would probably be a class action suit.

The home buying process was fine. We closed and moved in after final repairs were made. Mostly just little thing, dents in drywall, vents not painted etc. I had only had the house for two weeks when I noticed a water leak in the downstairs half bath. Water damage on the drywall and baseboards that was coming from inside the wall. Contacted Lennar and the plumber was out the following Tuesday. From there it has been almost a month of back and forth and my bathroom STILL isnt fixed. We identified multiple issues throughout the process of the build, yet they were not rectified. Now we are stuck with a large inconvenience as these things still need to be fixed and the emotional stress of not being able to fully move into our new house. Over valued. Had a list of work that was intended to be completed before closing and was never finished. Poor joints in the trim. Home wasn’t clean when we moved in. Exterior and interior paint not finished. Leaking plumbing. Wiring issues with garage doors. HVAC issues. Doors not hung properly. Loose exterior stone.

The people we worked with have been great, the process of getting into the house was smooth. Then we moved in and discovered very poor workmanship throughout myriad details in the house, details that will ultimately cost us a lot of money and time to fix and/ or affect our resale value down the line. We had a few things addressed in the beginning and then have been ignored. Our neighbors have communicated similar issues. We love David, our CM, and Caren was great! The purchase and loan process went smoothly for the most part, but when the house was being completed and after we have moved in, we have been very disappointed in the quality as well as the team that filled in for David when he was sick. John (I believe his name was) was very dismissive of actual issues, didn’t actually tag the house prior to close, and said things that were frankly untrue about home building, and missed the most basic things, like leaving filthy filters in the home at close.
