Very pro-active in dealing with customer.

Entire process dealing with Austin was good. When buying a very expensive home I'd expect the home to be cleaned with no drywall dust and carpet snags and the floor mopped good. We moved in and the cleaning job was horrendous. Then when we switched master light to a fan we found 2 holes in ceiling that the fan wouldn't cover, but they came out and fixed. Biggest thing is that we don't have street lights on our block which is very unacceptable

1. Very poor quality check - cabinets, toilets, doors, walls - we see lots of defects 2. Multiple Crack in basement walls/concrete 3. Flexibility - very little or no 4. Promise fulfillment - hardly followed Salesperson was very interested to sell & left his interest immediately after we signed. We got very generic answers for our questions which are sometimes frustrating!! Quality was not maintained thoroughly & quality check person is the most incompetent i have ever met. Construction was always eager to drop everything in warranty team. The common intent i felt from Warranty that they are overburdened with is*****s, probably due to poor quality throughout the process & they are stuck. ... More

Very difficult to get a hold of anyone for help. Got passed on the phone to 6 different phone numbers trying to get help with construction crews blocking my driveway repeatedly. Finally got dumped into a voice mail. Construction crews are constantly throwing their garbage on my property. They begin as early as 445am in violation of Village of Algonquin quiet hours code. It should at least be quiet until 7am. Was here for 2 months before getting any grass or landscaping but still have to pay *****. Watched many homes built AFTER mine get grass and landscaping before mine even ones that are still unoccupied. Have done very little to keep the streets clean. Have had multiple flat tires. Have done very little to work on the half finished homes around me yet keep building more and more. Seems like very cheap construction based on being able to hear everything outside. Not pleased at all. *****s were told before purchasing. After living in our "brand new townhome" our landscaping and walkway to our front door were all ripped out keaving gigantic holes.. that have not been fixed still months later. They pretend to new coming buyers but dont care about the ones that already purchased.. there are so many is*****s within the home.. i would stay clear from purchasing these homes

There are some is*****s with my brand new home pointed to Lennar before closing. The Lennar team did not solve it yet. Any movement since the closing date. My wife and myself are totally frustrated with Lennar’s customer service.

Builder needs to approve overall product

This is the second Lennar home that my husband and I have purchased and so far we are unfortunately pretty disappointed. We have had so much water come into our home from lack of workmanship and/or quality, our carpet throughout the whole house you can literally feel and see the garbage and junk over the carpet that was never cleaned prior to the carpet being laid out, the wood at the top of our stairs was chipped pretty bad and we were told not to worry because those were temporary stairs but nope, you can still see and feel where those big chips were and the carpet was laid right over it without it being fixed, anywhere that the carpet connects to hard flooring the tack strip pokes out all the time which they say its normal but its not, its just low quality and unfortunately for us cuts our kids feet or knees/legs if they are playing on the floor and go over it, our basement flooded because our pump gave out (we closed not even two months ago) and when we had to replace the pump that was in there was completely rusted and looked years old not like something that was supposed to be only a few months old.. the manufacturer date is two years old so it either sat somewhere for a long time or got pulled from another home and put in ours, our back door wasn’t sealed properly and has let in gallons of water. Writing all of this truly makes me sad because prior to closing on this home we had people warning us and we stood up for the company itself because of the experience we had with our first home but now that we are in this one I can truly say that the quality and care of craftsmanship is nonexistent. Lennar as a whole needs to go back to caring about what they are putting out and the quality of their work instead of how much money is going directly into their pockets. We feel that we were rushed into closing, even though our home was not completed on the outside. We were unaware that we would have to wait such a long period for completion. We were told that everything would be done by June 1 and it’s already July. There has been absolutely no communication nor no one has contacted us to give us any updates at all. Our driveway was very very dangerous for anyone to walk on when we moved in. We had asked if someone can smooth it out to gravel versus all the large rocks which made it extremely dangerous and scary to walk on considering we also had to move in all our furniture and items with that type of a driveway. We closed without a driveway, sidewalk, and no stairs to be able to get to our front door. The couple times that we called to complain there was no one that could give us an answer as to who we can speak to regarding these issues. Zero communication. We reached out to a couple of people and basically felt like we were in the wrong for even asking any questions about the condition of our home and also one person never responded back or reached out to us. We strongly feel that we should have known upfront that our home would not be completed when we moved in instead we were told that it would all be done in a few weeks, June 1. ... More

Not the place to do investment property, they are very ill prepared for this type of business. It should never take as long as it took us and closing took an entire day.

The home is what we were looking for. Very satisfied with our lot and neighbors

We are moving to the new house in May.The entire process was easy and really fast.We have some issues with air conditioner but with help from Linda and Jason the issue was resolved very quickly.The neighbors are very friendly and helpful.We are really enjoying living there.

Poor quality and experience with Lennar. There was a gas leak from the stove that was improperly installed and no compensation for the inconvenience and health effects. Landscaping wasn’t done by closing and was estimated to be done by May but only started in mid June. Landscapers also damaged my cable wire running over it with a tractor. There is also a concrete barrier to the north of my house blocking the road causing issues with delivery carriers with no estimate on when it’ll re open. Poor quality of finishes inside and outside the house- cabinet drawers are uneven and missing baseboard and door stopper improperly installed. Customer representatives and sales rep were also difficult to work with and Jon the construction manager was particularly difficult and not accommodating. Lots of issues. Hole in laundry floor that wasn't patched correctly, Had to add basement outlets and lights since you only got 1 outlet and 4 lights. Missed painting over numbers written on wall in bath by cabinet guy. There was mold on joists above foundation under the insulation. Poor trim work. Some light switches weren't even connected. Overall a very minimum quality. Had to have a contractor make all corrections.

They were very much efficient

In short, once the deal was completed, if you have additional questions or issues about the home, it was hard to get a hold of someone from Lennar.

We closed on our Lennar home in March 2026 and overall it’s been a great experience.

Buying this home was a very easy process. Connie was great in showing us the home and helping us along the way. The closing was quick and easy. Bruce was very thorough during our first walk through in explaining everything about the home. We feel this is a quality built home and definitely worth the money.

Buying a new home with Lennar was pretty straightforward. We went in to see a model home, we liked it and continued to sign a purchase agreement. We put an earnest money deposit and in a month we closed the deal. Our salesperson was transparent and helpful along with all Mortgage team. The house looks great, very spacious and bright. We would like to buy more homes with Lennar in the near future.

Rushing for closing without proper completion of home surroundings like drive way, backyard, very late response after closing like take it and go.

The most purchasing experience was good. Keep the insurance side of of Lennar in check. They provided me with a great quote, then changed the price right before closing. Made me rethink the whole process. The communications between the builder, the mortgage company, the insurance company and the closing company leaves something to be desired. I would have thought since it’s all under one name they would have the communications under control but that is not the case. The home itself is great. I would have hoped that in 2025 they would be wiring homes with Ethernet in every room. That isn’t the case for the home I purchased. Wish I would have a driveway and lawn. For the actual house, I have had no problems.

We went in with such confidence because of the reputation and the name. The sales experience was actually exceptional. The lending and underwriting was very, very good however, the closing was horrific. We were not acknowledged at all. It was horrible. A lady lead us to in an office; didn’t introduce herself; she went back-and-forth from one office to another telling us what to sign didn’t ask us if we had any questions. thank goodness our attorney arrived (late) and he did have some questions and called them out. Their attention. It was the most dehumanizing experience we ever experienced with one of the most important purchases of our lives. we were in total shock it was just terrible. The closing was absolutely terrible. The walk-through was someone we thought started as a good experience, but when we started questioning the craftsmanship and just the finishing touches, the person instead told us what not to do and when we asked about the quality of the peeling edges even the bottom part of the cabinet was broken off, he literally told us on the walk-through to get a touchup kit at Home Depot. details were not there —super disappointed expected so much from Lennar like a welcome folder instead, we were left with little piles of the empty boxes that they used for like our doorbell. thermostat for us to QR code whatever we needed but nothing about where to contact the homeowner association. Nothing about our mailbox key it was so just ruined. The experience was ruined. We ended up going through bunches of links from our initial contract to get us to one person who could tell us what’s what. I hope this doesn’t happen to first time home buyers. The home buying experience was fairly quick and painless, less than a 30 day turn around as we picked a model home. We moved back to IL from MO and like it much better here. House is very nice, new and fresh. Just what we were hoping for.

The process of purchasing was great. Everything was highly efficient and seamless. The craftsmanship leaves much to be desired. We’ve had them come up to repair the floors once and continue to have issues. The entire first floor will need to have the floors repaired. They are not level, lots of dips and squeaks. The refrigerator is tipping forward due to the floor not being level. The countertop is separating from the wall due to the floor not being level. We have to move the furniture when they come in to do the repairs so I have not been able to actually get settled in the house, despite here nearly 2 months. ... More
