We found the people at Lennar generally very professional to deal with. From the sales process to the choices of site and features, through to the financing. The people at Lennar are generally very good, great to deal with personally, and knowledgeable about their products. We did shop around and did comparative pricing and found that Lennar pricing was reasonable. We had 3 walk thrus prior to our closing, all three were very informative and revealed the quality of the workmanship. However, our experience was not without a couple of difficulties. Two weeks after relocating into our new home, which is very nice by the way, our dishwasher became unusable due to a main processor failure. The dishwasher is considered a “non-essential” component of the home so replacement was not an offered option. We instead are having to wait about six weeks for a back-ordered part to arrive from overseas to repair the unit. While this is not a terribly serious problem, nothing like failing heat in the winter or toilets that don’t flush, it has been an inconvenience, particularly because of the long delay. We understand that supply chain problems are an issue at this time but that does not eliminate the problem. These things being said, we would rate our experience with Lennar as a 9/10. Our first home that we purchased brand new. As we have lived in the house, we continue to find ourselves solving one problem after another. This community has extremely HARD water due to the city having well water. Everyone I'd well aware that residents would need water softner, yet the home had no room to install one. We had to get various companies to come out to give us a quote and pick ONLY the one who could install water softner components in two different locations, which asked for TOP dollars. Entire process was long and frustrating a d we had to use hard water until water softner was installed. There should have been room allocated in the closet for it. Extremely disappointing experience. The community mailbox is located on a steep slope and doesn't have appropriate access to get to it. You have to walk on the grass that's a downward slope and stand next to the mailbox slanted without having anything to hold onto and get your mailbox opened with a key to access your mail, all while being in extremely cold and snowy conditions. How can an elderly and a tiny woman feel safe checking her mail? She has to have family come and help as it's hazardous for her to do. This needs to be resolved. Please consider better ways. ... Well I am disappointed, my whole floor needs to be redone. They barley fixed any of the things they said they would on the walk through. Said “it’s under warranty my guys tried just make a checklist.” Used some cheap material where the caulking was suppose to go and had left a water buildup from a loose pipe in basement tried saying they had just cleaned it. Lying straight to my face, I hope they honor the warranty and if they would just slow down and do it right there wouldn’t be any problems. Good luck if your shopping with lennar I hope you get better quality than my duplex.

Leak in basement in August 2021. Hope to get it fixed by 2022. Also the vent makes a clanking noise. Dishwasher very loud when running. Positive note the salesperson was great and is still very helpful.

Overall, satisfied as can be with the new home. I feel we were fortunate as to only have one major issue. However, talking with neighbors, there were too many stories being shared about their problems with their new home.

It's frustrating that the subs try to shortcut things and it reflects on Lennar; do it right the first time!

Be sure to have all concerns documented and taken care of before moving in.

The sale person Linda was out standing and the details during the building process. Ober all home was good. The attention to details need improvement our list of issues are around 10 items 3 months in.

They say, you get what you pay for!

There are all the work which we were promised on our closing has never been fulfilled.

There was a lot of issues the day we signed. It’s been five months and we’re still getting work done.

Ceiling and wall visible taping many settlement cracks.appliances cheap..oven lower drawer falls out..1 day microwave installed bad had to have company fix. 1st floor so cold.air coming into room from electrical switch and outlets along west wall.envolpe compromise 2nd floor bedroom floor cold over garage also spare room over front door cold. Wam bam get you in construction. Heat comes on every 5 minutes due to first floor so cold along west wall had to purchase humidifier but can't keep up humidity do to furnace keeps running drying out house humidifier good for 2400sq ft.

Try to resolve issues with cut corners on maintenance. My sink faucet is leaking and water comes down in closet, and every time different people comes and explain that when you clean sink, water supposed not go behind faucet. So I have to keep towel all the times behind the faucet. I never heard like that. I was owning the home earlier and I used to clean bathrooms and I never seen water under the closet. The faucet gasket has to be sealed and leak free.

Buying experience was good but on the building side of it it’s poor

Worst Experience with Lennar Mortgage never ever again from start to finish. Terrible experience. These people working for your mortgage company are not trained the right way.

The carpet was almost like indoor/outdoor carpeting with no upgrade options, so we tore out and spent $10K at Home Depot for nice carpet. Dealing with landscaping issues as are yet unresolved. Exterior painting was very poor on the trim work. The sales process with Michelle was fantastic and she helped us immensely and we are very grateful to her for that! Thanks Michelle!!!!

Harry was excellent in the purchase process . Always available and very helpful . The mortgage arm of the company very poor and the rep was not very knowledgeable and a bit misleading Once you start getting emails to sign things etc . this company will NEVER STOP BOTHERING YOU! Even after closing I was getting emails to sign forms . They want to sell not only homes but insurance and lending …. Just stick to home building and selling would be my advice !

Builder should be more open to homeowners requests

Lennar's mortgage process was very chaotic but the representatives were always trying to help. We experienced changing contacts throughout the process which made it difficult to know where we were in the application & approval process. As far as quality, flooring was installed poorly; has squeaks and damaged boards. Have painting residue on woodwork. Found black mold under insulation in basement which they have remediated. For the money paid, we expected better quality.

Lots of cracks in the drywall as not enough joint compound was used and other issues need to be addressed at 60 day inspection.

Please do you home work and have your options open to compare houses, and mortgage broker with other builders.

I didn't find Lennar had any good communication with buyer

Lennar has a rigid process that meets the timing of their commitments. Unfortunately the actual building process is a slam bam get it done and fix it later approach. As a result the workmanship is poor with no incentive for the trades people to do quality work. Our experience has been you get it done poorly the first time. Then they respond quickly and positively to your request only to fix it and leave you with another poor quality fix and/or a different problem. The whole process is very very frustrating.
