We started the process of buying a house, I advised we couldn’t move until April. I found the closing date was May 24th. My realtor in a hurry to sell my house by may 24th slashed my home price by 20,000. Everyone knew accept me and my realtor knew the house needed to be sold by April 24 and didn’t advise us of this tidbit (the website said May 24th closing) so I lost out on tons of equity. The whole process was a nightmare

From start to finish, it was a frustrating process. Underwriting was extremely poor asking for docs that should not have been needed, especially based on my time on my W2 job and my extremely high credit score. The workmanship was subpar. The roof was deemed poor and in need of being replaced by the home inspection done prior to close. Roof still hasn’t been replaced but there were MANY shingles that had to be replaced/secured due to heavy wind storms last month. Great sales experience with the first contact. Seem to lure you in with deals but overall everyone does. Definitely benifits you using their companies. We used their mortgage company and their realtor to sell our home. Didn’t use their insurance because I had a friend who does it but still offered good rates. After closing so far everything has been great. Sandy was great at explaining everything and Zach the general on site has been super helpful. Would definitely use them again to purchase

Unresolved repairs and I request to be made whole

Four days before closing, I completed my first walk-through and identified several repairs that needed to be done. On the day of closing, none of those repairs had been completed. I was assured that if I signed off on the work orders, the repairs would be made promptly. To this day, many of the repairs remain unfinished. I have observed workers sitting in the office using their phones instead of completing the necessary work. This ongoing neglect has caused unnecessary stress and frustration. I knew going in that there was no customization. That should be known up front as you cannot pay more to add or change something. The quality of the workmanship and materials is a little less than I expected for the price tag of over 400k as we've had a number of defect issues. The responsiveness of their quality team is excellent, though, and everything is being fixed promptly. They are way behind on getting things like lawns and sidewalks in. PRETTY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH MY NEW HOME WITH LENNAR, After fully trusting the company for the build quality, I've unfortunately encountered several issues that I believe should not be present in a brand new home. While minor issues can be expected, I have discovered significant problems, including water leaks and siding bumps. These are considerable concerns that have caused me and my family great deal of stress.

If you are buying a Lennar home, please be aware that the quality of craftsmanship is very low especially with drywall. Get a home inspection completed. Also be VERY detail oriented during your walkthroughs. Take pictures of where the blue tape is so you can check if issues were corrected. Check drywall in corners, under cabinets, in closets, at baseboards, etc. We moved in on Dec 15, 2024 and have had several issues so far (multiple scratches/dents in flooring, our living room closet door fell off the door frame-screws fell out when the door was open, carpeting needed to be stretched to fit ...

Lennar is horrible, and I would never ever recommed anybody using this company. Everything was cheap. The dry wall work was a mess and never fixed. The vents and outlets were crooked. They put in the wrong bannister than what I was promised. The dishwasher didn't work the first day I moved in. Toilets consistently clog. Closet doors are always coming off the track. Stay away from lennar.
