Understanding Lennar all included and more

Lennar offers an all inclusive package with stove, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. While this package is convenient, and appliances are name brand, they are at the very low end of the product line. It's important to understand this because the appliances may prove to be impractical for some home owners. First, the stove has a gas operated oven which make cooking difficult. Even the most basic meals will not cook evenly. A dual fuel stove with electric oven would be much better. The refrigerator is a side by side style. The model selected has a very small freezer. Because space is ...

Poor management of the process

The framers did a very poor job and set everything behind. Multiple repairs were required to move to drywall. ”Leaner” was desperate for subs and the project manager was in over his head. Good guy, but he could not meet expectations and is no longer running jobs. We love our home, but we are now waiting for warrantee repairs requested months ago. We have had an overall good experience with the home after being in it for 6 months. If you buy, watch closely as any corner than can be cut, will be.

A lot of good and some opportunities as well

Lennar makes some beautiful homes at a variety of price points which is great. I also like how when you see a model it is (for the most part anyway) "what you see is what you get". The people that we have encountered have been very friendly and helpful. There were a lot of great incentives and flexibility in going from one selected model to another. So there is, indeed, a lot of "good". As with anything, any place, any person, any company, there are also some "concerns". For much, it seems that the build was "whatever the minimum regulation requires we will do" instead of "what ...

Maybe Expected Too Much

First time moving into new construction. Lots of cutting corners being discovered as we live here, not all seen in final walk through. Moved in with very dirty floors(along with caulk and paint). Scratches on refrigerator, sink and counter tops. Lots of additional construction going on around us so we began with dirty windows and screens. Fighting ants and spiders inside.

Average builder

Lennar is an average builder in terms of quality of workmanship in my opinion. A large portion of our wood trim is marred, damaged, isn’t smooth, etc…. I expect more on a newly built home at a high price point. They did fix a big sewer issue at the last minute, though reluctantly, but did not want to push out our close date even though we were agreeable to moving out the close date. I’m sure it was the end of the sales quarter and they didn’t want to push that money into another quarter. Overall, the buiider does respond to some repairs needed, and it’s a nice house. But, I expected better ...

Beautiful Home So Far - Hidden Issues and Not So Great Customer Service

Our home buying journey started very well everyone was so nice, enthusiastic and responsive. This was very important as a first time homebuyer as “we didn’t know what we didn’t know.” However once we were committed to the purchase the quality of customer service declined severely. It was very difficult to get ahold of key contacts for questions/concerns. Our realtor had to intervene on several occasions just to get a response. It definitely felt like a bait and switch in terms of care. We were simply happy to get through the process but are thrilled with the home thus far and encouraged by a ...

So-so experience but happy overall

Sales person was difficult to get a hold of and the process was a bit chaotic especially at the end. Wish things were a little more customizable, like adding a walk in/stone shower, a covered back patio, different backsplash choices etc. Those options are VERY limited but for the price we got more home than with other builders. Overall happy with the home and Lennar has been responsive to a few issues that have popped up since we moved in.

Nothing special. It would have been nice to be able to select a few features of the home. Communication from the walk through and on has been unimpressive, and it is challenging to get the correct information.

A little over pricedper square foot, but we are on a golf course. Major issues with our address not being recognized by anyone! No deliveries could find us. We can’t change addresses because no websites recognize our new address. I have met some very nice neighbors on the upside.

The initial framing quality, including both materials and labor was the poorest of quality. Our replacement construction supervisor exhibited strong construction knowledge and was very responsive correcting final, cosmetic issues.

Repairs that needed to be completed prior to the "needed" review for the sales department were priority. Details that need correction post that review certainly take a back seat. Vendors do not like accountability

Lennar - The colors on the spec sheet are not what is actually in house.

The colors on the spec sheet are not what is actually in house. We tried to go get more paint and more mulch to match and it what we bought, per the spec sheet, is NOT what was actually used. The exterior and interior was visible dirty when we moved in to the brand new home. The toilet still doesn't work right and we had a service call out within hours of closing on the new home.

Well I have good and bad to say. 1. I was told my lot size was much bigger than the reality came to be. When I confronted them about this they just said they made a mistake and did nothing about it, they admitted their mistake. Two people within Lennar has admitted this error. 2. The area between the sidewalk and road has been in standing water since July 8 and it is now Sept. 9th. They finally started looking at the issue but it has not been solved. So guest coming to my home have to walk through standing water. 3. Other than the doorbell and sod around the road and driveway ...

You must ask many questions before you buy, especially as concerns finishing your garage and material used in the construction; garage is always unfinished and they won’t tell you that, if you don’t ask. The interior painting is cheap water paint; the slightest scratch or water drop on the walls peels off the paint and the slightest hit on the interior walls produce a dent. Drywall not level in all places and they will tell you that they have no warranty on drywalls. Your kitchen area that should be painted with satin quality paint that can be easily cleaned if something spills on it, is done ...
