Nice House But Do Not Trust Anyone - They Are Bullies Including Corporate

The house is nice. Seems to be built well but Lennar falls short on the last mile. I did my best to clear up expectations up front during the sales cycle. This included HVAC and a few smaller items like the front door. I was told everything was taken care of. However, that was a joke. I am working with the Vice President of Customer Experience and let's just say I have to repeatedly ask him for the correct expectations outside of what he thinks is correct. If it was a lack of training, that would be acceptable. However, I was provided with over 10 different points of view on the HVAC system ...

The trades don't care

Our house is just ok. Everyday we find something that is awful with it. Meaning the trim, the doors, the paint. The trades don't care, and when they speak very little english you feel bad telling them that it still looks awful when they come back in to "try" and fix it. They always have to call the boss and see if they can or can't do more work. But then it ends up looking just as bad as it was at the start. The trim work is horrible and the doors all look awful as well on the bottom.

Overall, we felt the quality of the home was not worth the investment. Many areas of poor workmanship, walls not true to scale, flooring not put in correctly, concrete not put in correctly, many small things just not handled correct for 400K home. we believe more attention to detail could have been done, the home was not cleaned when we moved in, floors were dirty, garage dirty.

It would go a long way if the process after closing was better explained, not clear at all. Punch list is a joke, because it isn’t done prior to close and then you have to chase to get them done. Love the floor plan and the neighborhood, Lennar not so much! Very disappointing process all the way around.

If I could put zero stars for Responsive to issues, I would. My actual home buying experience with the salesman was excellent. His name is Mitch. Great guy and he was always there to answer questions. If he did not know an answer, he would find it for me by the next day. There were many issues to be addressed with the home before closing. The “construction builder” and the “main warranty” man assured me that I should close on time and that they would be here for me to fix the numerous outstanding items. I trusted them. So I closed. The quality of workmanship in my home is subpar, at ...

Dealing with the sales person was difficult. She told us the house will have a few things and then on closing they were asking more money for the things that should be included. They did not allow us to move the data points around the house and did not allow us to add more data points in rooms where it was needed. We found the process difficult and not to our full satisfaction. We are planning on getting extra work completed after closing. If you plan on getting a Lennar home make sure you are in touch with the project manager to be sure the process is going according to plan. The sales ...

Great house terrible customer service. Tammy wouldn't talk to us regarding our closing cost. Dishwasher had to be replaced, the fridge hasn't worked for a month and the microwave had to have the fan replaced. I battle geese leaving waste on my driveway and yard. This is a huge health hazard. Like I said love the house but now have to live in conditions that I didn't ask for and not getting help with. There were 75 geese that were counted in my yard over the last weekend. Please help me enjoy my new house. My neighbor has an infant that she has to stroll through ALOT of droppings just to take ...

We built a Spencer in 2022. Was disappointed that there weren't more options for a seniors living in next gen suite. After moving in, we had several issues. The first 8 weeks we had contractors in fixing something. Thankfully the warranty request process is easy and Lennar responds quickly. Overall really disappointed with tge overall craftsmanship of a nearly $500k home. I would not recommend building with Lennar.

My experience has not been the best from the beginning. The telephone tree kind of communication with the site manager and sales person in not getting the message right. I can go into details about how hard it was to talk to Chandra. Then the mortgage officer rarely listen to us and the constant missed opportunities of communicating on what was needed and not needed. The back and forward was confusing. Then I lost my VA opportunity in buying this home. That was just the beginning part of my his. Please call to find out more

Lennar - Our sales person, Dylan was fantastic.

Our sales person, Dylan was fantastic. We liked him and he was (and still is) very responsive to any questions or concerns. If I were rating just him alone I would say we had a very good experience. Lennar is a large builder and by all accounts should have their building process down now like a well oiled machine. They are, however, building these homes way too fast without a real attention to detail. Also, when issues are noted they are not addressing them while the work is being completed. It appears that they are just letting the issues slide in hopes that the new homeowner will ...

The builder did a nice job building the home. As with any new construction there are follow up issues. Those issues are not handled expeditiously and it is difficult to even talk with someone, whom to ask and where to go.

Underwhelmed

The specialist I was assigned with this property is very poor with his follow up process. I would reach out multiple times and needed to involve my realtor to get a response. I am also disappointed is some of the workmanship of the property: every door has paint missing on the edge due to only a thin layer being sprayed, patio boards are uneven and appears hastily assembled, and there is a 1/16th inch cut tile in above my stove due to not measuring the tile correctly which gives a cheap appearance. For the amount paid I was hoping for better finishing work with the property.

This process was not consistent. The walk throughs that were promised throughout the process did not happen until the end. The communication was usually unresponsive on Lennar’s end from our key contacts and Katie S. was extremely unprofessional. I do want to say Henry, the building coordinator was very professional and easy to work with. Lastly I’ll say I understand there’s a time crunch in building these units but having our basement flood the day after closing was frustrating and unacceptable. The closing process was smooth and quick. Thank you.

the team - sales agent and the construction managers made it sound like i am buying a candy at a candy store. they forced me to close without proper completion of the house just to meet their deadline. they even threatened me that they will hike the interest rate from lennar mortgage if i dont agree on what i say...we do have 4 other houses and never ever we had such a bad experience. lennar is disgusting

Generally poor quality of workmanship from subcontractors

  • Gerald R.

This was not a great home buying experience. This is our fourth new home in 25 years, and was next to the bottom in our satisfaction as customers. Our primary concerns were the very poor quality of workmanship (painting, caulking/grouting, etc...) and the almost total disregard the subcontractors had for protecting finished surfaces (LVP, carpet & countertops) as they finished detail and trim work. We spent many hours cleaning paint overspray, joint compound splatters & residue and grime after we moved in. Some places in the LVP were permanently marred by their behavior. Lennar's performance, ...

Experience started out really well. Realitor was very helpful and called me every week with progress reports. This was great , and everything seemed to be going as planned. We set a close date and I flew in to close taking a late flight to make it to an 8 AM walkthrough prior to closing. When I arrived there was no welcoming party or Realitor. Just the builder stating he this was his first walk through without his team. The house was not finished with the blue tape touch ups and it was not cleaned. Because I got in late and was tired I took the builder at his word it would get taken care of. ...
