It would have been nice had someone told us before we bought here that 85% of the development were investors. Would have looked somewhere else for sure.

You must ask many questions before you buy, especially as concerns finishing your garage and material used in the construction; garage is always unfinished and they won’t tell you that, if you don’t ask. The interior painting is cheap water paint; the slightest scratch or water drop on the walls peels off the paint and the slightest hit on the interior walls produce a dent. Drywall not level in all places and they will tell you that they have no warranty on drywalls. Your kitchen area that should be painted with satin quality paint that can be easily cleaned if something spills on it, is done with normal cheap and light water paint; any oil spills will require repainting using a primer or sandpaper first. You have to be vigilant with your roofing tiles; I was keen and noticed a lot that were flapping and pulled out after some winds. They respond to warranty requests but at times react as if you’re a nuisance to them. I will recommend Lennar, with great reservations to anyone; presently I’m looking for a possibility to sell my Lennar house only after being in for not up to 2 months. Maybe I was just unlucky but I’d advise anyone to ask a lot of questions and do thorough inspection before buying a Lennar home. ... More

The workmanship quality and issue handling was not up to standards. Infact, I had a very bad experience dealing with the closure of the issues that I had highlighted during my orientation. I was promised that certain issues will be addressed before closing, but a lot them were not addressed even after closing. It seemed they wanted to get done with closing without acknowledging that I still have open concerns. I would definitely not like to go through the same experience ever again. I hope Lennar takes this feedback seriously, coz customer satisfaction should be one of the primary objectives for the quality team and they definitely ignore that. ... More

Workmanship was poor at best. House closed on December 15th Did not really take possession until January 18th

Lots of "I will get back to you" with no follow up

Issue started from Day 1 after closing and response from Leenar is unimaginable, till date its not yet closed. Very bad build quality, lot of issue construction with electrical material quality

Sorry to say but..It was shocking when it came to our knowledge that their are no towel hangers in any of the restrooms and no light outlet above the bathing tub in one the rest room.. is these are all upgrades included in Lennar planning/construction I think these are basic needs to be provided in the new homes. I have seen so many Lennar constructions but never like these..there are so many cut offs in the upgrades..I think it’s better to give options to the customers rather than saying everything included at least we can have some choices. And more over there are no bar top counter lights outlets where we can replace by our selves. I think the plan we got is a basic plan not the upgraded version of the Lennar. Very disappointed. ... They screwed up one of the key features in our home, offered a small discount instead of fixing their mistake. Lennar was supposed to contact us throughout the process to be apart of different phases. Never happened. Several things were half completed when we moved in or not even installed. Won’t be recommending to anyone I know.

Make sure when you walk through , you take your time.

So far the experience has been mediocre at best. A multitude of problems and nothing gets resolved quickly. Follow up to see what action was taken of if an action is take is slow or non-existent. You do a virtual visit and then never hear have a follow up on what is being done. it has been frustrating- they need to be more responsive and communicate on a regular basis rather than having to chase them to find out when/what is being done.

The beginning process of building with Lennar was overall good. Heather at the model was very responsive and helpful. Once we secured the lot, the building process went pretty much on time and smooth. My HUGE problem with Lennar and probably other builders at this point is that they are building these homes so fast and with crews that are just paid to come in and do a job and not pay attention to details, that the workmanship is terrible. I would Never recommend building with Lennar due to this issue. I paid A lot of money for my house and after 6 weeks of being in my house, have had multiple people out to fix things and things continue to show up on a daily basis. Examples would be carpet coming up, wood trim chipping, cabinets not closing, doors that constantly do not close or open, door handles that stick, AC that was tripped outside, etc. Things have been addressed by the Lennar warranty team however I have Heard too often “due to how fast these houses are going up, it’s not uncommon for this to occur.” I think That is a terrible excuse and certainly wouldn’t let my home buyers know that it is true. The walls are so thin that you can hear conversations in every room upstairs. I have stopped putting in requests for things to be fixed because I am Tired of having to constantly have people come to fix them. That is another thing…sometimes people will show up who can’t speak English and don’t even know what they are really coming to fix. Example is someone that showed up Monday morning without any confirmation of time stating that his boss sent him to paint/caulk one door. He had to show me on his phone because he couldn’t communicate that to me. Then he came in to fix one door when I was Told that they would be painting/caulking all doors that had to be adjusted/fixed the week before. I liked the Lennar staff that I dealt with during this process. A couple things of note: 1. The "everything's included" concept is pretty nice but was disappointed in some parts of the execution. Pros: no stressful process of picking out finishes. Some nice features I would not have had otherwise like the gas fireplace and flex room (my office). Cons: All finishes/colors very neutral and not much character (I understand why they do this). Poor materials in some cases with no option to upgrade (cheap carpet and paint, painted door hinges and crack and pop when opening/closing doors). Strange decisions on things not included (water softener - who doesn't need one?, not finishing the drywall in the garage - it is half complete anyway to meet city code). 2. My two warranty requests were fairly unsatisfactory. One simple request to adjust doors that would not close took two visits to complete. One major request to fix a cracked sump line was closed without fixing the issue. A third party made the repair - very disappointing. 3. Using Lennar Mortgage was a pain. Daily emails with information that was not essential in many cases. Difficult to keep things straight. Need to streamline communication. ... More

Overall experience started off very rocky. It ended pleasant but it could have been better. Lennar needs work on customer service and making sure the customer feels welcomed. Also, there were a lot of things not done correct, or finished on my home. Currently waiting on things to be fixed or replaced.

Fit and finish for a upgraded home with everything included was poor. Follow through on commitments is poor as well.

-internal paint job; our realtor even commented it was the worst new build paint job she is ever seen -Still have electrical issues -dents in doors and walls, feels like a newer apartment instead of a brand new house we get to be excited to move into. - neighbors have severe drainage issue and their slabs have to be torn up.

Lots of little things that either weren't done, missed, or just skipped all together. Use cheap materials with what appears to be unskilled labor to complete the build process. Sure the new features are neat but the quality is just not what I was expecting, especially with the price paid for the home. Many areas of the homes design just don't make sense from the lights and switches(which in some rooms especially the kitchen and hallway are backwards and in some cases on the wrong Side of the room) to the drywall, cabinets, the location of heater vents in the floor, the carpet is not good quality either. 3 months and we are looking at having to replace carpet already. I was disappointed in the overall workmanship in this house. At one screw in every hinge was stripped and was told you don't fix that. You can see seems in the crown molding but was told that is a homeowner's problem. All interior doorknobs were loose. Poor paint job.

We are experienced home builders - house #5 I have never feeling so disconnected from the build - for first time home owners that f do not know better would be a good experience. Subcontractors cut corners example you touch the wall and paint is do thin it marks

Be prepared to be on site daily to ensure quality workmanship and materials. Use of substandard wood products is unacceptable even if “wood is hard to get and you get what you get” attitude. They build these homes repetitively so efficiencies should be passed down to the consumer but is not. Homes are fit together to tightly with no room for mowers to slide through. My air conditioner was hit snd dislodged. The landscapers do not grade yards properly including picking up rocks and proper leveling before laying down sod. Also they set up a founders club if first 15 buyers to run the community. Abit unfair in representing the rest of the community / also it was kept rather secret. Another secret is they allowed under 55 year olds to buy into the community. Information needed to be truly transparent with new owners. ... More

Leslie the building consultant was the best part of the experience. Everyone else in the company is questionable.

Working with Taylor was amazing. Unfortunately Taylor doesn’t manage all aspects of the buying experience. The financing and getting to close was a disaster. It seemed like this was Lennars first home to mortgage and close. The price we ended paying is probably “fair” in today’s market but I do not think the price the home was listed at and the quality that went into building the home are comparable. So many small things could be done that would make these homes stand out and most likely bring a higher selling price, for example update fixtures and door handles instead of the cheap silver construction grade. A little thought of outlet placement would have gone a long way too. In the end, we purchased the home so I can’t complain too much! After being in the home for a couple months it just feels like we took a step backward from our previous home. ... More
