Lennar was on it when they wanted you to purchase the home… then their responsiveness and flexibility decline from there. Out of all the builders we looked into they were the least flexible with allowing anything to happen before closing, which is understandable. they are very strict with allowing anything their rules leading up to closing then almost seem to want to disappear after that. Not everything was fixed at closing, as they continually promised it would be (things that were pointed out at our walk through and inspection a week prior) and it was/has been a struggle to get it all Completed by them since then. They like to take the short cut with some of the construction work (like trying to patch a hole in brand new counter tops rather than replacing, hiding holes in the wall with light fixtures). I personally think they fly through the homes too quickly during the build process and are doing too many at once. We love our home because of the location, the floor plan is perfect for us ans for the personal touches we have added since moving in. There have been a few great people we have worked with from Lennar along the way but overall it’s been more frustrating than I imagined with buying a new home ... More

1) Initially we booked lot but they changed it to another plot saying layout issue. they didnt give us option. literally forced us to take a the home which we didnt want. 2) no modification request was accepted

We picked the house because the lot was wooded in the back. Salesperson commented this was her favorite lot because of the trees. One week after closing, we were the last house to close in this section, they came and cut down about 75% of the trees. We no longer have a shaded patio and private back yard. . Apparently the plan all along was to cut down the trees once the homes closed. Nobody told us that was the plan. We now have a golf course view. If we had known the plan was to remove the trees we may have considered a different lot or subdivision. We love the house and floor plan but it has taken some time to get used to the trees being gone. Any issues we have had with the house have been taken care in a very timely way. ... More

Lennar has absolutely no control, whatsoever, over their subs who eat food and leave food scraps on the floor, ketchup on the new woodwork, and the paint sub dragged their muddy boots all over the brand new carpet at the most critical time just days before closing. Lennar, however, would not do a complete carpet replacement, even though those same boots made God only knows how many trips across the street to the disgusting disease-ridden port-a-let. The finish workmanship was the worst I have ever seen in 40 years of purchasing new homes. The finish workers (literally) nailed trim boards all over the house with chunks of dirt and mud on them, which no doubt got painted over by the paint sub. Unbelievably disappointing!!! My very first beginner home with Arbor all those years ago was better built and at least had subs who respected my new home. The region construction manager, Adam, was the only positive or bright spot, and he was very good to work with and did his best to try to make things right, otherwise my scores would be a “1” across the board (some “0” if that was a possible score). In the end, profit and dollars prevailed for Lennar and Adam was handcuffed with what he could offer to remedy the situation. ... More

This house is perfect for my family,it’s a 5 bedroom duplex carriage with lots of space and in a beautiful&serene location in Westfield..

This precious from start to fitness has been pretty simple. I did everything with Leonard I financed I got my homeowners insurance. I purchased a home that was already prebuilt enclosed and less than 60 days. It was an amazing experience. Lender was exceptional and so was the sales team. Gregg was great and so was Austin and I cannot forget about, NICOLE

issue #1 Day of closing plan was not discussed or no one contacted us cause they had wrong number in system despite 10 emails to correct in systems, also not only that they just put that on saying we were late take key from here and have fun.. Issue #2 came to find out mold pre exits issue and they did handle well to resolve all though time we loose did not got reimburse cause they fixed it in timely manner how that make sense when you are buying brand new home and have to deal with this all

Lennar makes some beautiful homes at a variety of price points which is great. I also like how when you see a model it is (for the most part anyway) "what you see is what you get". The people that we have encountered have been very friendly and helpful. There were a lot of great incentives and flexibility in going from one selected model to another. So there is, indeed, a lot of "good". As with anything, any place, any person, any company, there are also some "concerns". For much, it seems that the build was "whatever the minimum regulation requires we will do" instead of "what is the best we can do". For example, the HVAC. Instead of drawing air from the outside and doing a relatively minimal adjustment at build to create the tubing from the furnace to the outside, it is, instead, drawing air from the inside which has made the house have some significant, significant humidity issues which we the customer had to pay to fix. I am concerned about the leveling of the ground - our front, side and backyards all have craters that seem to be deteiorating even more. Though there is a good of "what you see is what you get", there is also a challenge in that these builders can't make even the slightest changes. If their plans call for a staircase in precisely a certain spot, even if because of the level of the garage v ground and that staircase literally runs between two bays of the garage preventing one from parking two cars in a three-car garage, they won't change and move the staircase over just six inches. So we were faced having to fix this - at our expense. Some builders will let you add electric outlets and pick where you want them; this builder won't. We had to add some outlets - at our expense. The house was not wired for wired-Cable. So there was A LOT of GOOD. There was also some CHALLENGES in only doing the "minimal" when it came to regulation, construction, customer requests, etc. ... Interaction with pre-sale representative was great. The experience went down hill from there. The house was not ready for inspection. Kitchen cabinet doors missing, range hood not installed, scratches on refrigerator. Window screen on the front porch was missing. Lawn care had been neglected and the entire yard was in horrible condition. A third party inspector identified and documented these issues along with others. Informed that it would all the issues would be resolved by the second walk through. Not all items were completed prior to closing and unfortunately, issues now have to be filed on-line. It is a hit or miss what and when will be addressed by Lennar. The responsibility for issues seems to to be passed from one person/dept. to another. It appears that customer satisfaction is not a part of the criteria. ... More

Everyone has been very helpful all along the way. We especially appreciated accommodating a major last-minute change. Chris has been wonderful in dealing with problems as they arise.

First time moving into new construction. Lots of cutting corners being discovered as we live here, not all seen in final walk through. Moved in with very dirty floors(along with caulk and paint). Scratches on refrigerator, sink and counter tops. Lots of additional construction going on around us so we began with dirty windows and screens. Fighting ants and spiders inside.

Great Value for the money you spend and great designs of the homes keeping the customers in mind. Also provides great interest rates to make the home ownership more affordable. I love Lennar homes overall.

Home buying itself is a stressful process, however Lennar truly covers EVERYTHING! I received help and support with all my questions or concerns. Everyone from Jamie in Homebuyer center to loan officer Josh, and closing agents and customer care representatives were ALL very kind, caring and knowledgeable. This was so important to me as I purchased the ideal property that will allow me to age in place and in comfort! Thank you Lennar!

Buying the house with Lennar was great but after buying the home you don't have much support from the team and you have a lot of companies calling you to let you know they are from Lennar and offering you services to pay.

There are many problems that are still being discovered after closing, but Jim has been amazing at getting corrections made immediately.

I’m not happy with lennar’s policies. First they show me different color when house get ready then it’s color was totally different which I doesn’t like. Their designs I doesn’t like. Inside of the house is also very basic. And house construction material is very cheap. And my real estate agent is super rude, very unprofessional and very short tempered. I definitely will NOT RECOMMEND my real estate agent to anyone. Lennar people making fool to their clients specially first home buyers. Overall next time I will pay 5k-7k or 10k give extra but will choose good company, which making houses with good quality material and inside and out side good design and I will choose that company which not do fraud with client and not make fool to people first show different color and on final touch gave different color. And ONCE AGAINT I AM NOT HAPPY WITH MY REAL ESTATE AGENT. ... More

The house is nice. Seems to be built well but Lennar falls short on the last mile. I did my best to clear up expectations up front during the sales cycle. This included HVAC and a few smaller items like the front door. I was told everything was taken care of. However, that was a joke. I am working with the Vice President of Customer Experience and let's just say I have to repeatedly ask him for the correct expectations outside of what he thinks is correct. If it was a lack of training, that would be acceptable. However, I was provided with over 10 different points of view on the HVAC system and had to ask for the exact wording in the contract between Lennar and their sub-contractor. Sadly, I was told many times "this is what you signed" which was a lie. My recommendation: Realize they are bullies and they have no respect for you after they have your money. Do not expect them to honor their word, as their word is what is used against you. Become an educated buyer, setup expectations on paper and ask for details even if they say they don't have them. ... T.K. is awesome to work with in making home decision. Austin did a great job with getting me approved. Loved my loan processor. But the quality of home for 340K is not worth price you pay. Overall experience was okay. Like new home, but after being in home for some months. Realize quality of work is mid grade. Found a bunch of areas in home not fixed or unfinished work fixed. Grass layed down not good as I have nothing but crab weeds since moving to property. I should not have to put in so much work for bad saud layed down on property.

It was a great experience from the build to the final walk through. The home was over priced initially, but the team at Lennar mortgage and the team onsite really took care of things and made me feel at ease with how the appraisal came back lower than expected. Was glad to have Austen and TK to work with. I would recommend Lennar for sure!

With all the things going on in my life nothing is easy. I came from a home that a friend built and I loved for 22 years and I had people I could call to fix things but not so here. I have to register my own appliances-there are staples in the carpeting and it is hard adjusting but I will get there. The neighbors are nice and I am taking it day by day.

It was an overall smooth, easy, process from beginning to end. Issues have been addressed. Staff is friendly, kind and helpful. It's a beautiful community. Some personal preferences would be to be more considerate of the retired/older owners. Microwave is much too high to remove food safety. Tall cabinets are beautiful but not useful beyond second shelf. I'm understanding the reason but there's trip hazzard coming into garage, should be somehow made more visible. Same with the back patio step down. Just a few suggestions.
