Overall Experience - First Time Homebuyer

Jeff Merk, Shayla Norton, Marc Friedlander are amazing and if I decide to get another home. I would pray and hope I work with them. But walking into my home I seen a lot things that were done that is not up to standards. Quality of workmanship could be way better for the price of the home. I feel like I shouldn’t have to do something of things that need to be done.

Annoyed there was no variety in choosing fixtures. Low end appliances. All these houses are going to bring overcrowding and traffic the area. House is okay. Maybe 3 years out of me here.

Lennar - I am dissatisfied with how we received the exterior of our home.

I am dissatisfied with how we received the exterior of our home. We were promised a finished product and the sod was laid down poorly the driveway was never power washed the exterior we did receive the touch up paint around the house. We had to request the windows to be cleaned. I didn’t have a wow factor when I turned the key to enter my home for the first time. The floors were sticky dust was on the rails baseboards, doors and the floors

Overall the home is build well it's the small detail that makes the difference. You can tell some thing were rushed and if quality control was done those things could have been avoided. Great pricing for the home. The team needs to do much better with communication. I had to make way to many calls to get things done, but once I got through to someone things were done.

I had a smooth and pleasant experience with Lennar during the home buying process. But what I will say is that after getting settled in, I was able to see the rushed job they did in constructing the property. There are uneven places in the dry wall, unfinished areas under the island, nail holes that were never covered, messiness around the light covers. There are many places where nails are coming out of the walls and sure, there is a settling period and other homes being built in the community. But when pointed out they didn't want to take responsibility or fix it at the 3 month ...

Mostly Positive Experience

The entire build process was great. Our sales rep kept us informed and although the lot we chose already had begun construction, Lennar allowed us to make several interior changes (floors, counters, and couple other items :) The one item Lennar MUST work on is their Closing procedure. On the day of close for our final walk thru/inspection, there were still 10 people inside working on the home! It is impossible to conduct a walk thru inspection to view potential deficiencies with construction still going on! Lennar should have pushed the Close by a day or two. Lennar robbed us of the new ...

I like my home, I don't love it.

The workmanship of the home could be better. The home is settling really quickly, showing some work that could've been done better. There are no walk-out basements which was not disclosed and no porch or patio out back which also was not disclosed. There is water pouring outside the back of the home constantly and I don't know why. This "new" stuff is not all that great.

Lennar responded:
Hi Georgia, thank you for your comments about your new home. If you will send us the details about the workmanship and any items outstanding, along with your address, to corporatecustomercare@lennar.com, we will review and response to you.

Contacting the customer service with issues after purchase is not the best. They also hound you to Rate them with “10s” on their surveys, which is a turn off.

For a home at this price point using builders best materials for little things like toilet seats (one which I've already had to replace in less that 6 months after purchase), light fixtures, etc. We expected at least a step up from the cheapest materials.

Most people we dealt with were easy to talk to, but that’s what they are supposed to be doing. When it came to a yard issue or something inside our home that’s where we had a few issues. I have 3 stars because when it comes to correcting an issue in a person’s new house you have to be patient no MATTER HOW MANY CUSTOMERS you have! That did not occur on a few occasions

Don’t go to settlement in November

The process of purchasing my home was easy, but from my final walk through to after being in my home for a month, it was horrible. Issue after issue. It has calmed down now, but it shouldn’t have been like this. I honestly think it was due to the time I went to settlement. If I settled when it wasn’t busy, the team wouldn’t have been rushing to meet their year end goals.

Lennar - Nice home design, but too many flaws in quality and workmanship.

  • John W.

Nice home design, but too many flaws in quality and workmanship. These are some of flaws; no space for laundry in laundry room, ethernet and TV cable connection on wrong side of the wall, door bell deflective, garage door don't close evenly, and no room for towel rack in the master bathroom due to shower door hits the rack. It took warranty staff to fix my garage door five times, and door bell twice still not fixed. Waiting for this coming Friday appointment.

I wish we had our own swimming pool, fitness center and clubhouse considering the price we spent on our home. Other than that, we love the layout, however, it would have been nice to have a fireplace and linen closet.

So this is a wonderful area...new homes that are spacious with lots of floors! My partner and I have been here for 6 months and have ran into some issues, like every new home owner does.. some of the people have been very responsive to our queries and others have been less than, We as a community put money into these homes that seem to not require attention from the builders, once the home owner is moved in. We are 32 homes filled with occupants, out of 52 homes supposedly being the total once construction is completed. There is trash left over by the Construction crew, broken glass in the ...

Beautiful homes. Great spaces in the layout. Open floor plan is awesome. The home buying experience was good in some areas but not good in others due to little communication between all parties involved. Surprised the purchasing process has changed with Bids/No Bids. The lighting panels in the homes are really backwards. The color choices were changed due to manufacturing issues but owners had no say in the changes that were made. Construction folks created residue on my deck that i hope will be resolved. Finding out the home loan was sold to another company at closing was a shocker. The HOA ...

Rushed Job

While I more than understand deadlines, milestones and budgets, I find it hard to believe that some things were just overlooked. Im not convinced that there were quality checks made to confirm whether or not a job was done right let alone completed before being signed off on. I have floor planks that are obviously not level, trim cut too long or short, rug already not laying flat (I barely have furniture), The more time I spend at home, the more I notice things that were missed or carelessly completed. Definitely tainted my brand new home buying experience. To top it all off, issues with the ...
