Lennar - I love my house.

I love my house. As for quality of workmanship I gave it a 4 because If you look closely to the finishing of the paint (walls) they are not of high quality, a lot of areas are uneven and also the quality of paint. They easily scratch. They are very delicate that you always have to watch everything that touches the wall because it will turn black or create black lines. I also gave a 3 for responsiveness to issues because I am not happy with their response to the issue I raised to them.

Lennar makes a good product, it pretty much sells itself. I would like to have more color options with cabinets, flooring, tile and backsplash. I would like more consistency on the mortgage side. When Katrina went on maternity leave we had to deal with 2 other persons that did not return calls or respond to emails and they were not as knowledgeable. It would have been nice if they were more personable as well. This is a large purchase and you want someone that is comforting and make you feel like it’s gonna be ok. Also more access to the home while being built. We were displaced while ...

Home buying experience in St Charles

The home buying process was fine; wish the price was lower than we paid. I feel that the house was built too quickly, we’ve since found some issues with one outlet, painting, and the carpet and padding feels cheap. This was a spec house so we had no say or choice in what was put on the house or included in the house.

My experience with overall good, There was an issue at signing causing me to not go to closing on my closing day, which could have been rectified in a timely manner and it was not. The construction of the home was ok, there were issues that were quickly address and the team is friendly and on time.

Lennar - Advertised as LUXURY and has many deluxe features but the flooring

  • Jerry M.

Advertised as LUXURY and has many deluxe features but the flooring and painting were substandard. Some of the woodwork was sloppy. If you buy a Lennar home, be picky and note EVERY flaw on your walk through. Look behind every door, look for paint drips/runs. Our laminate flooring pops and creaks. We asked for repairs which were incomplete and made one area worse than before. I will be requesting additional repairs. Driveway terribly too narrow for two cars forcing us to spend additional time and money plus permission from HOA to widen.

Great Home, but finishing was sloppy and construction has been inconvenient

We are very happy with our place, however I am going to leave very honest feedback with the hopes that things are improved for our future neighbors! The appliances, materials, and equipment are all high end and good build quality, but the finish appeared sloppy and in our opinion did not meet the standard. Paint was slopped on doors, tiles, windows, light fixtures, light switches, appliances (Fridge, oven, microwave, etc.). The door jambs had plaster/paint all over them. It appeared very rushed. Our cabinets had a lot of nicks and scratches. The railings, baseboard/trim, and crown molding ...

The sale rep & loan part was great 5 stars. The problem comes in with walkthrough and after closing with issues. I suggest you record the walkthrough and catch everything cause everything isn’t written down they say on I can fix it now and will tell you that outlet works on finial walkthrough but it doesn’t and you call New home rep and never get response

Lennar - The customer service process and the orientation process is poor.

The customer service process and the orientation process is poor. I was not fully oriented to the property and a customer service rep was never identified until several weeks later. Also, Lennar is slow to fix basic issues when brought to their attention. I still have not received certain materials that I should have been given at the Orientation/Walk-through.

Build Way to Fast with Too Many Errors

My sales consultant was Awesome! I would recommend anyone to Herbert; however the builders did a poor job with building the home, molding is cracked everywhere, my stairs still creek after they told me that they would fixed my stairs during the walk through. On top of that the paint job is horrible for some of the paint is left on metal pieces throughout the house. I paid for a quality home and expected just that. I shouldn’t have these many gaps between the mold and my walls in the home. On top of that, the Customer Service Rep is really busy but hard to get a hold of. The heat doesn’t rise ...

Lennar - I applied and paid for the upgraded kitchen.

I applied and paid for the upgraded kitchen. This was supposed to come with Electrolux appliances but instead, I got Frigidaire appliances without consulting me first before making the switch. Already, the refrigerator isn't cooling just almost 4months of usage. The heating/cooling system is not functioning properly. In the summer, the cooling system was not cooling on the third floor. I called the HVAC company as was advised by the sales agent and an appointment was set up for 29th of October. The HVAC company neither showed up nor gave me a call as to why they couldn't make the ...

From the builder and constructions standpoint, it’s great. Happy with the construction quality . But had very difficult with sales person . Slow or no response . misleading/inaccurate information about the prices and few other details about home. One of the examples about price changes that were not communicated to adjust until I fight to get it resolved and also they agreed to release few homes only for investment /rental, but they increased a lot..they didn’t honor they word

The only good thing that I can honestly say about my whole experience with Lennar is my loan officer (Joni). The price of my along with some of the other homes in this neighborhood is ridiculously high. Everyone that assisted in my documents did them wrong or the delayed the process by not processing my paperwork in a timely manner. Especially the back office. This is the third home that I have purchased and it was the worst experience to include the sell of the loan to the new lender. If it wasn’t for Joni stepping in and being very hands on with my loan, I truly believe that this process ...

The builder has been responsive, for the most part. There are/were issues...many were taken care, some are still pending. Duane, Customer Care Rep,, is excellent. The builders, Scott and Rob, were great as well. Outside of the builders, only the finance gentleman, was excellent. Sales Rep ("New Home Consultant"), Chris, left much to be desired. Many of the things we wanted...we were told were not available...yet others who moved in AFTER us got what we wanted! Moreover, we were told that our home would be ready for "move in" by the end of May 2021. It was NOT ready until end of June. ...

I really like the interior of my home and had a great experience as the home was being built. The building manager provided weekly updates and the home was completed on time. The biggest problem I have is although I was told I would not be able to hear people walking in the unit above mine I absolutely can hear footsteps from two floors down. If kids are upstairs running it sounds like an absolute train. I suppose that's the price for living in a bottom unit but the lack of sound absorption is very disappointing.

Buying a home with Lennar was definitely exciting at first, but once I moved in, it wasn’t. The construction on their homes can be sloppy at times. They are building them too fast to check for simple mistakes. When buying a home be sure to have another home inspection completed before signing anything. Be sure to check for thing you would rarely look for (ceiling being leveled, paint missing on doors, neatness of caulk etc). Look for everything. Just don’t be fooled by the beauty of the home. Really look at what you’re purchasing. Even with many problems in the home, Lennar fixed everything I ...

I like my house and I'm happy with my purchase but it did come with some frustrations. First, just because the documentation says that something is included doesn't mean that it's included. I didn't get several smart home items that were supposed to be included but were not. I was told that the documentation was out of date. Second, the fit and finish of the house was rough. I used an entire roll of blue tape during my inspection. Third, whoever designed the HVAC system needs to be fired. A single unit for a three level house!?? My second story is never cool. Finally, Lennar mortgage ...
