We had a leak in our house during the first rainstorm due to a broken fan on the roof. Lennar quickly fixed the fan, but we had to escalate our grievances to get the interior damage fixed. It took 4 months and 3 contractors. I think they are expanding too fast and can't maintain the quality of customer care once they have sold you your home. We love our house, but I dread anytime I need to seek help fixing a construction issue, including a leaking exterior door.

Lennar has been a pretty good company to work with. I happened to stumble upon their property and found that I liked what I saw, almost instantly. While the quality of the workmanship was alright - much more geared towards rapid building and "cookie-cutter" style townhomes, meeting with the construction manager and hearing about their passion for "getting things right" was helpful. I was able to walk through and point out everything that might have been damaged or not to my satisfaction for a new property. As I have lived here for the past months, any issues that have popped up, Lennar Customer Care has been prompt to reply to me and get any services I might need lined up. I am rather pleased with how well it has worked out. My only real.... less than positive experienced was when I was preparing to place an offer down on the property I moved into. I was introduced to Lennar's "preferred partners" they would like you to use, and my realtor advised me to explore what was out there. Ultimately, I chose to go with a different lender and title company than who Lennar usually works with, and the preferred partners were persistent, to say the least, about trying to obtain my business. At times, it was very annoying to have them constantly calling or emailing trying to solicit my business when I had already entered into a contract with a different company. ... More

From the beginning the majority of our questions or concerns were addressed. Tina and Tim were a great team and made sure our concerns were addressed. There were a few questionable situations that felt disingenuous regarding the Royal going private and when Lennar actually knew that was happening, which could have swayed our purchase. Since closing, all issues we have brought up have been addressed in a reasonable time frame and very professionally. Homebuying experience was good. No major issues.

Angie in Carver helped me and she was the best sales rep I had come across—I met 2 others. She was empathetic, was interested in my business and just an all around joy to work with. She is 90% the reason why I purchased the home.

A big reason we chose to purchase a new home rather than an existing was because there's typically less competition. We weren't able to make a quick decision on an existing house before other offers were made and accepted, but with this new home from Lennar, we were able to avoid that and had time to think about this purchase and visit the model we were planning on buying. Working with our Lennar contacts (Rick and Chad) have been great, they're very knowledgeable and answer any and all questions. Even after the sale, I don't feel like we've been left in the wind, they're still very responsive. There are some minor details with the workmanship I wish could be better, mainly the nail holes in all the trim are visible, but that's the standard quality they offer. The carpet padding isn't as soft as I'd prefer, and we'd have chosen different kitchen appliances if we were buying them, the dishwasher feel cheap and the fridge isn't ideal. Other than those small items, it's great. Overall value is hard to judge, I feel that we did overpay, but not by an amount I'm uncomfortable with. Existing houses come with some extra's that aren't included, such as a deck, gutters, water softener, shades/blinds, none of which were included. I like to think of myself as a DIY guy, mostly because I'm too cheap to pay someone else to do something for me that I can do, and also that I do enjoy doing it, so deciding to buy a new home was a weird decision to come to, but I don't regret it. ... They don’t give you the option to make any changes or upgrades. The walls are so tiny, like cardboard . Still, some work needs to be done. Thou that is understandable because of the supplies shortage. The water heater was misplaced, the doorbell wasn’t working, but the good thing is that they fix it. Other than that and overly satisfied.

Experiencing good service for response from leannar company. But if you improve the qulity, actually we don't need the service a lot.

Great experience with loan officer

Started the homebuying process right when Covid hit. Our Home Consultant was great at adapting to the new safety guidelines and we felt comfortable in working with him. We hit some bumps here and there which was not one persons fault but rather the situation. We moved in about six months ago and have unfortunately had problem after problem. The construction manager has been excellent in addressing our questions and concerns in a very timely manner. All of the issues we have been encountering are due to construction quality.

Lennar is one of the best builders around the Twin Cities. I had a wonderful experience working with the sales manger Sarah. She does all she can to answer all my question in a timely manner.

When a person purchases a new house, you would expect the work to be of better quality. These contractors are supposed to be professionals and do better jobs than myself. We shouldn't have to have painters come back, sidewalks fixed, plumbing fixed, fixtures replaced, garage siding repaired all within the first 2 months. The CM was awesome! He was very willing to get people back in and make the repairs. We passed our 60 day mark, so no more CM helping us. The current customer care rep has been good so far and brought contractors back to make repairs. With the price one pays, I would expect better quality of work. The CM is stretched and has many properties to worry about, but was very helpful. ... More

We had limited involvement with the sales team, as visited once and made an offer the next day. Cons Mgr promised to address several items pre-close, about 1/2 were taken care of

They have a great team work authority and lots of people to help with questions along the way.

Many issues with appliances not working and minor detail flaws

Overall wasn’t a bad experience buying the house 3 months of delays which is the times right now with all of the delays with materials. The fit and finish (the minor details) in my house were not the greatest I had to fix some things myself and few other things still not done. With how much I paid for this house I expect better.

The lines between ceiling and wall were poorly taped, so much of the house has a bead of gray paint on the ceiling along the edges. The walls were clearly beaten up and patch jobs were attempted along with poor paint cover. Essentially, for a brand new house, it looks like we need to repaint the entire thing on the interior. This is the largest and most obvious issue.

Still don’t have an security operating security system that was part of purchase price.No one seems to know how to fix it. Also do not have any screens for windows.

so far we have Replaced carpet in Master bedroom seam open at sections Two visits they ordered the wrong carpet color the first visit for repairs Close off 1 to 2 inch opening on all steps on the lower stair case and re-carpet Need to fix Soffit vent on South side of house When deck was installed outer facing of exhaust smashed not able to replace without removing deck Replace all drain plugs in sinks which were discolored from chemicals Replace all toilet seats because of scratches caused by using toilet seat as a work bench Garage floor uneven will have to cut in 2 feet and the full width to level out so garage door will close and seal properly. all of this not to mention Tile cleaning alignment of tiles on walk in shower and white residue on floor in kitchen and living room areas... ... Never came out to put plug in sprinklers or replace dead shrubs from installing driveway.

I really am disappointed that I moved in, in March and don't have a lawn yet. People in the townhouses and other houses who moved in after me have lawns ahead of me. People in townhouses don't care about lawns. I hired and paid a lawn edging company and was told final grade would be done on my property last week. We are all waiting.

I FELT RUSHED FOR THERE STUFF AND MY QUESTIONS COULD WAIT SOME FOR DAYS.

Hi I have started with short period liked the house. Initiated all process on loan and negotiation. They put home of the week for the less price with discount and when we were talking to finalize. They came up with increasing prices. They play a lot of tricks and look for what most benefits to them. They offer very less interest rates to many customers but they don't disclose. They accidentally exposed in one email and they covered up.
