Too many docusigns and different Lennar logins and people involved. Not fun at all. Should be easier process and one “go to person “ to contact.

This is my second home from Lennar . So I was fully aware of what I am getting into . When I put in an offer I was not even presented with a counter offer . That felt rude . Although the price what I offered was very close the sales in that neighborhood. Then I eventually they came back with offer after a month After you sign the contract they immediately move you to an customer advocate / coordinator by the emails we received it felt like it was more of slap in the wrist and a list of things you cannot do with bold letters . Don’t stop by to see the house .. . Less flexibility in ...

Be careful what you sign up for.No flexibility on Lennars part. The home was well built. They tell you they will fix any thing but it’s at their time line.Love the area.No flexibility on when they will finish the house. If its beneficial to them, that’s when you have to close. The toughest part of the whole process was working with the lennar mortgage company. A nightmare. Otherwise,we’re happy we bought this home.

The neighborhood project manager was a 10 but the rest of the process was average. I realize we are dealing with Covid so I can look past the delays. However, I was disappointed with lack of options. I also think every house in the neighborhood looks the same. There is no variety of color or style. It makes it look cheap. We need more brick, stone, hardy board, richer colors to make it pop and not make our neighbors looks dated

Outside was a mess

We have been mostly pleased with the inside of the house but the outside is a mess... Sloppy workmanship and poor quality materials. We had siding boards peeling off of the house after the first month and have had to have the irrigation folks out four times to fix shoddy work.
Lennar responded:
Hi Amanda, we are sorry to hear about the condition of the outside of your home. Please contact us at corporatecustomercare@lennar.com with the details of any items needing to be addressed, so we can review and follow-up for you. – Lennar Customer Care

Actual home and build quality is good. So far, no major complaints. The issue with Lennar is how they treat you once you close and move in. Despite multiple complaints, construction manager has done nothing to prevent construction crews from blocking my driveway for hours every day while other homes are being built. Dismissive attitude, stating “luckily they will be done soon” when I brought up that I can’t leave for work or I’m not getting packages due to blockage. Gaslighting me when I bring up issues like missing paint, air bubbles under flooring, etc. “Nothing is perfect” is the response. ...

Love Our Home; Bad Communication

We love our home. However, the buying experience was a bit to be desired. The marketing materials when buying our home mentioned several smart devices that come with the homes. When we asked why ours didn’t, we were told they recently stopped providing them. However, all of our neighbors on our block received them. This makes it hard to know what to believe and put a bad taste in our mouth when moving in. These types of things should be communicated much better to avoid false expectations. Communication on remaining exterior work was also non existent and made it hard to anticipate. Overal, ...

Construction crews are thugs. They broke windows, chipped doors, sheetrock and taping issues all over house. Construction quality is sub-par. Lennar corp people are great. They respond, repair and answer emails. Lennar warranty website is long, tedious and boring but at least the issues are addressed.

Overall experience has been okay thus far - not great. MANY frustrations along the way and some very basic issues that should never have been problems in the first place.. Most issues are eventually addressed but responsiveness has often been poor. Most definitely room for improvement all the way around.

Happy to be in my new home, but process was less than ideal

I appreciate there are challenges with material and labor shortages, so while we experienced these, I would not hold Lennar responsible for these. Also, the local people we worked with (sales manager, construction manager) were great! However, it was clear throughout the process that Lennar is a large corporation and the customer experience is not valued. During the selection process, many styles were unavailable, options were changed without notice, and for many selections, visuals were not available leaving us to make decisions based on descriptions. Additionally, it seems clear Lennar does ...

Lennar - I wish the sales associate would have spent more time going over

I wish the sales associate would have spent more time going over all options. There are things that looking back I would have done a few more options. Also the quality of workmanship on the house is subpar at best. I worked in the construction field for close to 20 years and would never have left a finished project look the way it did. You may want to take a look at the subcontractors you use and their quality control. If I could redo this whole buying process I probably wouldn't have used Lennar. The only good thing I have experienced is helpfulness of your customer care representative for ...

Lennar review after 5 months
- Joshua G.

After 5 months living in our new townhome. I am noticing paint imperfections from screw heads, and joints. Our hardwood floor has a bubble in it from loose glue. And some of our doors don't open and close. Now maybe this is from our house shifting due to weather, but its only been warmer weather. March to July. I feel they could do better for a $300,000 home, and they had like 7 months to get it perfect.
Lennar responded:
Hi Joshua, thank you for sharing your feedback about the quality of your home. We are sorry to hear about these items. Please send a message to us at corporatecustomercare@lennar.com with any outstanding items, so we can research and follow-up for you. – Lennar Customer Care

Beginning the day you buy if you have a problem with something such as an unused appliance it has to go through a complicated warranty process. The warranty process made me produce confidential closing papers to prove I, not Lennar owned the appliance. I had issues with two appliances on day 1.

The workmanship is not the best, felt like the house was potentially rushed to build. Had a leak right away from the refrigerator, flooring had to be ripped up. Carpet not laid down properly. A drawer that does not self close. Showed to someone and nothing done. The door stopper did not align with the garage door so now we have a hole in the wall. When this stuff happens, it takes away from our work schedule and having to use time off to be there when they come in to repair it. The drywall is not smooth throughout the home. Thiago on the other hand is AMAZING to work with! He ...

I chose Lennar because of their reputation and floorplan. I am however disappointed in some of the workmanship that is sloppy. Their customer service department is unapproachable except by email. There is no one who could answer a quick question or refer a client to documentation regarding an issue.

Lennar town home buying experience.

Over all I am disappointed with the experience so far. There has been little to no communication regarding the outstanding items. Many of our neighbors are all so frustrated with the lack of progress and communication. There seems to be more emphasis on starting a home than finishing it. There is garbage all over from construction, I was picking it up but after several black trash bags a week I am done picking up after the construction crews. We (us and neighbors) are very concerned about how the area will look when and if they get it complete.
