Great home, service and support.

Although Lennar homes aren’t totally custom there are many options and finishes one can choose from. Great workmanship and consistent weekly communication throughout the building process. We love our home!

My house is still not complete.

I’ve been in construction 12 years never seen such poor workmanship and we moved in with promises of our driveway and being done by July 9th and still waiting on irrigation and sod its almost august

My wife and I decided to buy a Lennar home. We decided to wait 3 months for the house to be completed. During this process we were told that everything on the inside of the house would be completed by closing. When we had our celebration day, it was far from a celebration. There were many items on the inside of the house that were not completed as promised. There seem to be very poor communication between that sales rep and construction rep. Our construction rep did not even know the proper closing date. We have now lived in our house for about 50 days and still can not get answers on when things will be done. The construction rep just tells us that we should get a call or email to schedule it. When we have had work done, it has been less then professional. We have had a family bring their kids to do work on our house multiple times. It was very low quality work. It would be very difficult to do professional work when 4 kids ages 1-12 are at work with you. It was very sad for me to see. It is not fair for us as homeowners and the workers either. The workers not only did bad work, but they also splattered paint all over and did not clean it up. When I tried to communicate with them, they told me they do not speak English. It has been so frustrating trying to get our house completed. We paid a lot of money for a new house and are not getting the professional work and coordination we paid for. We are having to schedule things around our schedule or miss work to get our house finished. Had I of known this would be the case, we would have considered other options. Had they have been honest with us about the process, we could have prepared differently for what was to come. I would not recommend Lennar at this point. Some inconsistent information received during purchasing and building experience. Satisfied with the house but hoping the quality lasts as long as it should.

This whole experience has been horrible from poor workmanship quality to mistake after mistake. And even worse I am STILL waiting on basic things to be fixed. Lennar customer service is useless and does not care or know anything every time I call them. It takes weeks to get any type of answer about things and then when they come to fix it they break things even more. The only reason I have two complete work orders is because I called myself and advocated.

Construction crews are thugs. They broke windows, chipped doors, sheetrock and taping issues all over house. Construction quality is sub-par. Lennar corp people are great. They respond, repair and answer emails. Lennar warranty website is long, tedious and boring but at least the issues are addressed.

This experiencing of buying a home with Lennar, and now living in the product for a month is nothing but a huge disappointment. As a Realtor of over 18 years, who has sold to my customers a lot of Lennar products over the years, this experience of buying my own has been awful and I would never suggest to anyone to purchase a product from them. The build quality is crap compared to how they use to build 15 years ago, their service is awful, they also are cheap and try and force you to use more companies they own. So many things wrong that my complaints are being filed with the dept of commerce, and the board of realtors. they make the buyer pay state deed tax, this is so crooked and wrong, they also make the buyer escrow for work they don't have complete, another thing that is crooked and wrong. they also don't complete any work on time.. we closed in May were told would have a yard by end of June and it's not July 5 and they have not even started this work.. in which until it is complete my money is held in escrow because this unethical lousy company does business like this. They are money driven and don't care about the consumer, they build cheap crap and I dislike them more than any builder I've ever dealt with.. I will bash them over and over unless they change and try and make things right for my family. they also are cheap that they don't even pay a realtor a true commission and their lame closing gift you you is some blanket and water bottle that we tossed in the thrash. This is a great new home, my wife and I love it. It looks great but with lots of quality issues so I have to do a lot of repairs. Doors won’t lock, master bedroom shower started leaking on the 1st day we moved in, washer was broken after 1 week, etc. Good thing is customer care is very responsible and getting things fixed now.

I had such a positive home buying experience with Cheryl and the team at Lennar at Cedar Hills in Lakeville. I could not be more happy with my experience as first time homebuyer. Thanks to Cheryl, Kimberly, and Scott.

This is our second Lennar build. Our new house was build in a more expensive neighborhood. The quality of materials and workmanship do now show that we are in a nicer neighborhood. There were clearly so many cut corners that were not cut in our first house. The overall experience was much worse compared to our first build. We still have issues that have not been handled and we have lived in our new home for 2 months now. We do understand that our house was build in the middle of a pandemic, but for what we are spending, more care should be spent to make sure the customer is getting a quality product. ... More

Quality of work could be better but overall okay.

Lennar is definitely a large company looking to turn homes quickly. Everything is sub-contracted out, and it doesn't seem the sub contractors really cared about the quality of their work. Lots of small imperfections that you would expect in a nearly $700k home

We recently purchased my first home at Lennar’s Avonlea and I’m glad I did. Stephanie and Steve are simply the best. I did all the activities virtually up until closing as I was in another city and re-locating to Lakeville post closing. Stephanie was extremely professional, super responsive and detail oriented for the many many questions me and my spouse had. Also, she was very proactive in keeping us updated on the construction status. I had to do most of my interactions with Steve through emails, phone calls and zoom meetings up until closing. He was so helpful with the orientation, was/is prompt in responding to my questions and explains very patiently. Stephanie, Steve, and Eric made the home buying process very smooth and happy for my family and I would definitely recommend them. ... More

Construction delays which were not communicated prior to buying the house. Very poor communication throughout the process. House built with poor workmanship standards. And response from Construction Manager was it is acceptable per Lennar standards. I didn't knew that lennar had such low standards. Not happy with at all. Even now response is very poor if I open any ticket. And for bigger issues Lennar asked me to directly contact vendors. So accountability at all. And issues were present even before I moved into this house. I can go on and on .... If lennar really care about these reviews, please reach out to me. The things needing fixing are so basic. For example majority of the doors don't close without rubbing against the door frame. Craftsmanship is poor on the baseboard trim in many places. Paint edging where it meets the ceiling looks like I did it myself without any care.

The person who inspected each job after it's finished let most of the sloppy job go and passed it on to us. So many things were not met the specification or quality and they let it go. This is the first time I built a new house and I could not believe i will have this type of experience. Personally I don't think it's Lennar fault, it's the person who is in charge of final inspection of each job/items that let it go. If I'm in charge of inspection this house or my house I would tell the contractor to do a better job or redo the job until it's good. I don't have anything good to say about the person who was in charge of inspection of my house...very very very bad. This person should not be working for a Big Name Like Lennar. Nothing but professional the whole time thought the buying process.

We were given highly optimistic completion dates which sales knew would not be achievable. We felt that we were lied. We made accordingly.

Our sales rep, Shannon, was the highlight of our experience. What a bubble! She kept us informed of the progress of the house. Our Lennar mortgage lender was very very helpful, but the advent of electronic signatures and the overwhelming number of emails made it a bit burdensome. Our problem came with the quality control. Much of the work was sloppy with obvious oversight from quality control supervisors. Our air conditioning wasn’t working. It turns out there was no power attached to it. Who signed this off that it was working properly? Surely, it must’ve been checked on a checklist. I’ve sliced the bottom of my feet multiple times where the carpet meets tile because the teeth that hold the carpet in place weren’t tamped down. Some doors are very difficult to open and close. Two rooms in the house are unable to be adequately cooled even with every other vent in the house closed off. There was paint, adhesive and cement all over our front porch. It’s taking multiple calls to address this, and it’s still not done. The garage trim is a complete disaster with pieces missing, visual defects, and foot print stains on many of the pieces from where the workers stepped on them. This is still not been remedied. If these obvious things are overlooked, what has not been done right in places that we can’t see? It’s a pretty house, but I would never recommend Lennar to a friend who was a potential buyer. ... Love the builder ,great community to live in.

Everything started out normal, but after we moved in we found a lot of workmanship issues and poor quality of labor. Foreman knows about it but he said not much can be done, because right now it's hard to find workers at all. But if that's the case, than the price of the house should be adjusted too...

Cheryl and Jarrod are awesome. They helped from start to finish and made the experience great. The communication from everyone at Lennar was very timely and always kept us appraised on the progress. My only wish (and I understand why not) was that we could have changed a couple of things and also had the lower level finished before moving in. I would highly recommend Lennar to anyone.
