Sales were great, building and finishing not so much

The sales representatives were amazing and were able to answer most if not all questions we had. They really are a good resource to have. Construction on the other hand needs a huge lift in the attention to detail and pride in their work. Although not the construction mangers fault, and he helped out as much as he could, it was evident that the laborers were just there to go through the motion and could care less about the quality in their work because it wouldn't be their problem once they left, to list a few things: 1. We found garbage in our home, and we just closed on it 2. ...

Very poor workmanship, we felt some of the contractors did not take pride in their work (ceiling with flat spots, tape joints visible, paint on carpet, crooked walls, door trim that doesn't align, all trim nail holes are very visible, crooked fireplace stones, and more. There are multiple issues that need to be fixed, replaced or redone. Also poor communication between sales team and us, were told different closing date and pushed out two months.

Pay the extra 50-100k for better workmanship, materials, and construction management with a different builder. Everywhere we look my wife, myself, and guest see examples of poor craftmanship. I don't know who was overseeing the quality of this build but they need training. The standard was set low. I have and will continue to share this sentiment with anyone who asks about the home

Need more quality material and proper finishing. Lots of gaps in back yard fencing where manager trying his best to resolve. But should taken care initially itself. 1. Window are not sound proof at least there are should stop small sound from out side. 2. Wood finishing is very cheap and work is not upto mark. 3. No proper updates on plans and schedule on pending work to be completed. 4. Lennar should have provided small change options in interior which make more difference from customer point of view. 5 . Quality of Steps to unfinished basement id worst when compared to other ...

The purchasing experience of my townhouse was fine. The quality of my townhouse is not good. Very sketchy. I have submitted SO many tickets for service to correct issues that it’s becoming a weekly habit and a part time job. This is not what I signed up for. I’ve become the general contractor to repair so many things that it totally diminishes the quality of product Lennar sells. My realtor warned me about Lennar and I should have listened. Now here I sit with a defective house that needs so much work and the smallest thing, like mowing the lawn doesn’t even get done! I’m disgusted and wish I ...

Honesty and Quality are clearly lacking in Lennar

Quality issues with almost everything. No transparency from the construction manager and overall no good communication. Lennar’s standard is much lower than it should be and even though the work is done it is not quality. Anywhere they can they are trying to cut corners to save money and try and just do “good enough” work. Even though their work is clearly sub-par. Yes our house is completed and yes we are happy in our home but Lennar’s quality control is lacking, their honesty and transparency is sub-par at best.

Countless problems with everything from landscaping, driveway, fireplace, interior doors, door handles, very cheap patio door and windows, insects, cost cutting changes that were unacceptable, home not clean on move-in day, etc. The problems are endless and the list is too long. Very frustrating. Purchasing this home has turned out to be an expensive mistake. The homes are not ready to be lived in and are being built extremely quickly. Once you close, the customer service is terrible.

The people were nice enough… but had many issues with quality of the work performed. Many challenges trying to get the issues fixed/resolved. Installed faulty wiring so my internet has. It worked properly since I moved in and I work from home to imperative it be working properly. No help from Lennar… they put it off on other and tell me I need to contact warranty to fix… dishwasher, washer machine, Wifi all not working. Took a very long time for some resolution. Been in house almost 3 months and believe internet was worked on/off for a total of 2 weeks.

Let me start off by first stating that we LOVE our new home. The quality and craftsmanship of the actual house are amazing. Bryan and his crew did a great job building the house. There was very little that we found that needed to be fixed during our final walkthrough, and the final product is gorgeous. The rest of the process was an absolute disaster. Lennar Sales(Alan), Title and Mortgage (Cody and Judith) were unorganized, a pain to work with, horrible at communicating, and overall they did a terrible job, and I wouldn't wish that process on anyone. Didn’t disclose the removal of windows above the patio doors, didn’t disclose the drainage ditch in the middle of the back yard. We bought the land with the understanding that the back yard was to be fairly flat now we have a 3 foot deep ditch through the middle which was never told to us.

Lennar hasn’t made this a great experience from the beginning. Why not just hire a company to do things right the first time, right? Our home needed many repairs right away, and it took quite a few attempts to get it corrected. We had taken multiple days off of work, to have nobody show up to our house to fix the issues. The closing was also less than expected. They were still asking for us to submit documentation post closing.. sounds like they didn’t have their ducks in a row-right? I would not recommend Lennar to anyone looking to buy a house.

We bought a home in a new Lennar development. Our keys don’t work in the locks, the trim/walls are bowed and crooked, they “cleaned” the house prior to close yet it was still filthy. Lighting fixtures are mounted crooked, our ring doorbell was mounted crooked. Least pleasant closing experience I have ever encountered. They will not negotiate and claim there are other offers so you are pressured to proceed. I like our home, but I feel dirty after buying it.

Lennar responded:
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns about your new Lennar home. The things needing fixing are so basic. For example majority of the doors don't close without rubbing against the door frame. Craftsmanship is poor on the baseboard trim in many places. Paint edging where it meets the ceiling looks like I did it myself without any care.

Our yard wasn’t properly graded which caused flooding in our basement multiple times within the first two months. They crashed a bobcat into our house and took a long time and multiple requests to fix the damage. They didn’t put enough dirt down and sodded over straight rock in some areas... the list goes on. Apparently Lennar is too big of a company to take pride in doing the the job right.

Good house, but responses to any questions or concerns is bad. The customer's satisfaction is not the primary objective, but rather it is the selling of the house. After the house is sold, the response to any questions is even more bad.
