The exterior siding and trims are not good quality as well as the cabinets and doors are cheap and low quality.

Beautiful Home, Issues with Workmanship

We had a leak in our house during the first rainstorm due to a broken fan on the roof. Lennar quickly fixed the fan, but we had to escalate our grievances to get the interior damage fixed. It took 4 months and 3 contractors. I think they are expanding too fast and can't maintain the quality of customer care once they have sold you your home. We love our house, but I dread anytime I need to seek help fixing a construction issue, including a leaking exterior door.

We had a great building process, but we have found so many issues since move in and lennar just keeps pushing us off and not finding fixes.

Outside was a mess

We have been mostly pleased with the inside of the house but the outside is a mess... Sloppy workmanship and poor quality materials. We had siding boards peeling off of the house after the first month and have had to have the irrigation folks out four times to fix shoddy work.

Overall happy but some comments

We really like the layout of our house, and have a beautiful kitchen. Some issues we do have with the home is due the quality of material and labor, for instance the paint chips/scratches too easily on the woodwork and walls. We have noticed a bit of careless trade work but we aren't sure if it is due to shortage of labor in the trades?

I really am disappointed that I moved in, in March and don't have a lawn yet. People in the townhouses and other houses who moved in after me have lawns ahead of me. People in townhouses don't care about lawns. I hired and paid a lawn edging company and was told final grade would be done on my property last week. We are all waiting.

After 5 months living in our new townhome. I am noticing paint imperfections from screw heads, and joints. Our hardwood floor has a bubble in it from loose glue. And some of our doors don't open and close. Now maybe this is from our house shifting due to weather, but its only been warmer weather. March to July. I feel they could do better for a $300,000 home, and they had like 7 months to get it perfect.

Follow through is very poor

The house showed very well but follow through is so poor. Once we moved in and issues arose their team put us in the back burner. The construction manager has very little resources and escrow items needed take forever. Get as many issues as possible squared away before you buy and give them your money

Problem After Problem

Our yard wasn’t properly graded which caused flooding in our basement multiple times within the first two months. They crashed a bobcat into our house and took a long time and multiple requests to fix the damage. They didn’t put enough dirt down and sodded over straight rock in some areas... the list goes on. Apparently Lennar is too big of a company to take pride in doing the the job right.

Lennar has been a pretty good company to work with. I happened to stumble upon their property and found that I liked what I saw, almost instantly. While the quality of the workmanship was alright - much more geared towards rapid building and "cookie-cutter" style townhomes, meeting with the construction manager and hearing about their passion for "getting things right" was helpful. Expect Issues

We have had to file 7 claims to care in 3 months. Lennar refuses to do anything above the minimum to fix. Not something we ever anticipated with a brand new home. Continue to set high expectations and fail to deliver on them.

Not fixed the countertop, doors and floor.

I put in a service call for the countertops to be fixed and the first company agreed that the countertops were cracked then the lennar construction manager came and said that he would take a look at it and see what lennar wanted to do about it. I later received a letter to sign that they address the issue and that the countertop was not cracked. You can see it crystal clear that is not a natural crack. When a person purchases a new house, you would expect the work to be of better quality. These contractors are supposed to be professionals and do better jobs than myself. We shouldn't have to have painters come back, sidewalks fixed, plumbing fixed, fixtures replaced, garage siding repaired all within the first 2 months. The CM was awesome! He was very willing to get people back in and make the repairs. We passed our 60 day mark, so no more CM helping us. The townhome is not level, the trim work and cabinets are all crooked. There was holes in the subflooring they just put carpet over and never thought we would find. Our backsplash was cracked and they didn’t want to fix. They installed the wrong size island counter top, wrong kitchen sink, wrong facets in every bathroom, wrong shower heads in every shower, and wrong door handles on all the exterior doors.
