Throughout the home buying process we were sent many documents and forms with errors then pressured to sign them even after we asked for them to be corrected. Details like the home address and payment amount were not correct, as well as other important details that make a big difference when buying a home. Trevin seemed to be the source of many of these major errors and even after speaking to him on the phone they failed to be fixed. We constantly felt like we were being mislead by representatives from Lennar with many different parties saying very different things, often times contradictory. Overall the communication was extremely poor and Lennar needs to do a better job training its employees how to properly share information. We are too happy

We were so thrilled to purchase our new home with Lennar. We had a lot of issues and the construction manager at the time was not truthful with us. We had over an inch of water standing in our basement after the drywall was installed and he said we only had a few puddles. It ended up that Lennar had to hire a restoration company to come in and found a lot of mold in our walls. It was eventually taken care of. Then when we moved in and the craftsmanship of the house is sub par. Door frames are not level and poor quality with walls. The quality of work man ship inside the house was bad. Things that should be replaced was fixed and the imperfections can still be seen. No deals or proper discounts was given.

Just like anything else, the management of the process is important. Lennar in Lake Elmo at the Royal Golf Club has good management. Chad, the Construction Manager takes his job very seriously, keeps a close eye on the construction crews and makes sure every contractor does their job. Lennar uses the same crews of contractors from one house to the next, they are confident in the quality of their work as they have been proven over time on multiple jobs. If you want to pay high dollar for a cheap build with corners cut everywhere you look - buy a Lennar home. They don’t even paint (or prime) the ceilings. The things we’ve discovered after it was too late have continued to pile up and cost us over $10,000 in upgrades that should have been standard for a home of this price within the first 2 months. Stay away.

Lennar staff are committed and responded on timely manner. The house has a good finishing.

People that we have worked with from beginning to the move in have been most helpful. Denise, Chad, and Sam are personable and responsive to our questions and concerns.

The building manager is excellent to work with, fixes all issues I have reported. No major issues found so far. The only thing that was sour is that the HOA is not in control of the homeowners and they outsourced enforcement to a company that has an F with the better business bureau. Yelp is filled with negative reviews and only dealing with them briefly I fully agree. They do not respond in a timely manner and close out tickets before issues are resolved. It’s ridiculous that I could end up waiting 90 days or more to do a simple landscaping change to my own property.

Lennar helped us with our moving transition greatly, From the house searching, to closing on our dream home, everything was a pleasant experience. There were a couple of small defects that popped up after we moved in (2 faulty breakers and a scratch in one of the window panes) but Lennar was quick to get these issues resolved from what was virtually a flawless moving experience for my wife, 1 year old, and I.

Make sure you do inspections before you close. Understand and agree on floor plan before signing purchase agreements. Pay attention to walk through and take notes, after that you are on your own.

Very surprised by the low average quality of some of the materials used in our new home. Relatively cheap carpeting with poor quality padding. No self closing cabinet drawers. Cabinet drawers not dovetailed. Relatively thin countertops.

Great home buying experience since the very first online contact. Lennar staff support and responsiveness very fast and assertive. Lennar apps make life easier. Closing date and home availability on time. Lennar sales, construction manager and mortgage teams were great. 5 stars.

Excellent experience with Annika and her team. Seamless integration from seeing the house to close the house.

The team I worked with was Shannon, Whitney and Sam and they have been outstanding in every way through the process, from lot selection, best floor plan to maximize the selected lot. Then moving to the setting up the construction process and the outstanding communication with Whitney to keep up to date on progress and key dates. Sam for ensuring the build was executed with expert craftmanship with the materials provided. The experience has been Outstanding Thank you all for the excellent experience!

Issues with sod repond time was awful.

I want to start off by saying we got a great deal from Lennar and the value for your money is pretty decent. The issues here however are that the model homes they have are all different from the actual built homes. They will change amenity packages in the middle of a build without consulting the buyer and not come through clear with the differences of what you had seen in a model and the home you decide to buy. I ultimately chose Lennar because it appeared to be that they used higher quality materials and appliances than their competitor D.R. Horton, but was shocked to find out during final walk through that appliances turned out to be bottom range appliances completely different to what was seen in the model. Not only that, but they also used cost cutting tactics to cheap out on flooring putting carpet where it shouldn't have been, took out the back splash and lied about their "connected home package" with smart thermostat and video doorbell as neither one of those were installed in the whole building of where our townhouse was purchased. On top of this, the first day we moved in our water heater and electrical room breaker kept tripping so we had to file a warranty claim immediately upon moving in because we had no hot water. Lennar sent an electrician in the next day extremely quick but it took them 3 tries all day to diagnose and fix the issue. Needless to say, it's a pretty nice home but I would be doubtful in purchasing a house with this builder again. ... More

This is my 2nd Lennar purchase and per usual it went great. From the sales agent to the loan officer, loan processor, title company and Job supervisor every aspect of my experience was great!

I am dealing over 10 problems because of the quality of the materials. I wish Lennar should look at the quality of the materials closely!!! Because of that it creates even more headaches for everyone. Customer service people on the phone are very rude as well. Lennar building homes look nice for a week. Lennar management team… please be mindful. This is people’s home and they are going to live there quite some time. Not only a week!!! Please please look at your work that you have done.

I feel that Lennar did many things cheaply and cut corners for instance, having a three car garage with two lightbulbs is ridiculous and only a couple of outlets. They use the bare minimum of insulation in the ceiling of the garage and stopped at where the bedrooms are over the garage. The thing that got me the most was I was told I had to seal the grout myself behind the stove and oven because they no longer seal grout? But on the other hand, there are many things that I do like that Lennar does such as the landscaping and the Irrigation system so I’m not gonna sit and complain about everything but the little things the cheapness bother me for instance there is no laundry room sink and if you want to paint anything, you either have to go outside to wash your paint trays or you have to do it in your kitchen sink ...
