Very surprised by the low average quality of some of the materials used in our new home. Relatively cheap carpeting with poor quality padding. No self closing cabinet drawers. Cabinet drawers not dovetailed. Relatively thin countertops.

I put my trust in the lennar builders and got great results

Great home buying experience since the very first online contact. Lennar staff support and responsiveness very fast and assertive. Lennar apps make life easier. Closing date and home availability on time. Lennar sales, construction manager and mortgage teams were great. 5 stars.

Excellent experience with Annika and her team. Seamless integration from seeing the house to close the house.

The team I worked with was Shannon, Whitney and Sam and they have been outstanding in every way through the process, from lot selection, best floor plan to maximize the selected lot. Then moving to the setting up the construction process and the outstanding communication with Whitney to keep up to date on progress and key dates. Sam for ensuring the build was executed with expert craftmanship with the materials provided. The experience has been Outstanding Thank you all for the excellent experience!

Issues with sod repond time was awful.

I want to start off by saying we got a great deal from Lennar and the value for your money is pretty decent. The issues here however are that the model homes they have are all different from the actual built homes. They will change amenity packages in the middle of a build without consulting the buyer and not come through clear with the differences of what you had seen in a model and the home you decide to buy. I ultimately chose Lennar because it appeared to be that they used higher quality materials and appliances than their competitor D.R. Horton, but was shocked to find out during final walk through that appliances turned out to be bottom range appliances completely different to what was seen in the model. Not only that, but they also used cost cutting tactics to cheap out on flooring putting carpet where it shouldn't have been, took out the back splash and lied about their "connected home package" with smart thermostat and video doorbell as neither one of those were installed in the whole building of where our townhouse was purchased. On top of this, the first day we moved in our water heater and electrical room breaker kept tripping so we had to file a warranty claim immediately upon moving in because we had no hot water. Lennar sent an electrician in the next day extremely quick but it took them 3 tries all day to diagnose and fix the issue. Needless to say, it's a pretty nice home but I would be doubtful in purchasing a house with this builder again. ... More

This is my 2nd Lennar purchase and per usual it went great. From the sales agent to the loan officer, loan processor, title company and Job supervisor every aspect of my experience was great!

I am dealing over 10 problems because of the quality of the materials. I wish Lennar should look at the quality of the materials closely!!! Because of that it creates even more headaches for everyone. Customer service people on the phone are very rude as well. Lennar building homes look nice for a week. Lennar management team… please be mindful. This is people’s home and they are going to live there quite some time. Not only a week!!! Please please look at your work that you have done.

I feel that Lennar did many things cheaply and cut corners for instance, having a three car garage with two lightbulbs is ridiculous and only a couple of outlets. They use the bare minimum of insulation in the ceiling of the garage and stopped at where the bedrooms are over the garage. The thing that got me the most was I was told I had to seal the grout myself behind the stove and oven because they no longer seal grout? But on the other hand, there are many things that I do like that Lennar does such as the landscaping and the Irrigation system so I’m not gonna sit and complain about everything but the little things the cheapness bother me for instance there is no laundry room sink and if you want to paint anything, you either have to go outside to wash your paint trays or you have to do it in your kitchen sink ... We choose a lot and purchased a Lennar home to be built for us in early November 2024 and then closely monitored and videoed the entire build. We are left disappointed with the construction workmanship, much of which took place during the winter. The concrete for the foundation and floors was poured in sub-zero temperatures with inadequate freeze protection with constantly failing heaters allowing the concrete to freeze in early curing stage leaving questionable quality. Roof ice shield installed over snow on the sheeting in temps so cold there was no adhesion at all. Windows and doors installed in the same conditions and any hand framing done was of very poor workmanship, overhead garage door which fell off due to missing/ un-tightened fasteners, etc. Interior fit and finish poor with low quality cabinets (our fault for not noting prior to purchase), Refrigerator door that slams into pantry doorknob (response from Lennar when complaint filed was " no action will be taken since construction was to plan"!). That points up Lennar customer service. Since nothing can be changed after the purchase agreement is signed, customer service consists of reporting what's been done. Jordan and Noah, our building supervisors, were very good within the constraints of what Lennar would allow. They personally accommodated us in our requests for changes or corrections whenever they could. Our Lennar Mortgage Lender local Rep was not very helpful, leaving us confused, with little information and failing to correct several errors along the way. Alan at Lennar Mortgage Main Office was always helpful and followed through on all matters in his control. Lennar closed on the original date they gave us, a plus, however we had no driveway or sod for another month after that. At this date, 2 months after closing, we still wait for Lennar to issue our final grading report so we can apply to the HOA for approval of an exterior deck we wish to build. Our contact efforts have so far gone unanswered. I would never recommend anyone pre-purchase a Lennar Home to be built for them. Buying a pre built spec home wouldn't change the poor winter building outcome but at least you wouldn't have to watch and you would avoid all the post closing finishing work.. ... More

Overall, a good experience. There are a few minor 'new home' issues to address, but these are not unexpected. Things to improve: Water softener should be included. Patio & deck should be included. Landscaping is a little underwhelming. It should match the price of the home.

The home buying process with Lennar is great and seamless. We chose to go with Lennar Mortgage and that made it even more smooth. If you are building with Lennar you need to be prepared, there is no grey area and VERY limited choices. The quality of material continually went down as we went through the process of picking a lot and building. We went from you have several choices of cabinet to you get white. Our pocket door is unusually small and the powder room sink isn't even big enough to hold soap for guests. These are the details, they have forgotten about. If someone gave thought to how a person lives in a house, this would be an amazing builder. Floor plan options, communication, resolution of issues are all A+ with Lennar. ... More

This is not my first time buying a house with a national builder. I feel the quality of the drywall work in my house was sub-par. Inside corners are not smooth and appear to be a rushed job. There is a giant crack in the ceiling from the middle of the living room to the island. I understand house move and shift but I am hoping this gets fixed at some point. There was also a large chunk of concrete missing from the front porch. This was fixed by just slapping some fill in it which does not look great. Also over time will probably chip out. The builder should have had the porch replaced. I am not a fan of the white trim and cabinets. The quality of the cabinets seem rather cheap considering the price point of the house. I also know that even if we would have done a "dirt sale" we still would not have had a different option in trim/cabinets. I don't understand why a towel ring was not provided in the main bath upstairs and in the owners suite. It would be nice to have those provided and installed as part of the overall package. It would also be useful to have a storage cabinet or larger vanity in the master bath. A ceiling fan would also be very useful in the laundry room as there is no air movement in there and it becomes very hot and stuff which will lead to mold done the road. Lennar is dishonest, deceiving, and shady

We had 2 major issues, water heater not working with outside temperature about 60 degrees, AC not working with outside temperature 95 degrees. We had to take cold showers for 4 days. We had to live in 90+ temperatures without AC. We had to escalate to get anything done. Both of the above are emergencies but not for Lennar

My experience was top notch and so smooth! Every one was so great and was with me every step of the way

Overall I am pleased with the choice we made, we run into a few issues with our WiFi which I thought would take a long time to fix. But the contractor on site when we told him, followed up did what he could and we had like three different people working on it. They all did a wonderful job, and ensured our house was in good standing. My take was the last person who came to finish the work. I didn’t get his name but he did something extra and we noticed it and would like to say thank you to him if Lennar knows who he is. I mean the painter who came on the 18th of June. I am writing this review because I think some people always have something negative to say about Lennar but I think they do a great job communicating with the owners. ... More

Lennar was very responsive and help us move quickly. Driveway and yard has been getting installed shortly after moving in. Looking forward to making it more homey thank you

They make it seem like it will be awesome and “everything is included” but as soon as you sign the contract they become less and less responsive. We’ve had numerous issues that need to be addressed. Have 3 open service requests right now. Upon closer review after move-in we’ve noticed some corners have been cut and cheaper materials used. No closing/welcome home gifts like we’ve gotten from previous realtors. Lennar mortgage sold our loan right away but all the paperwork wasn’t turned into the new mortgage company in time so we still don’t have an account number to pay our first mortgage payment that is due today ... Lennar was fantastic all the way around. It was so easy from start to finish. Jennifer and Beth from Lennar were so great and they helped me in anything I needed. Would recommend Lennar to anyone.
