I think buying new house isn't bad idea especially when you have to be the first to touch almost everything.

I purchased a new Lennar home and used Lennar finance/closing company. During the process I was required to register 3 seperate portals; building, finance and closing. During the process I recieved over 200 emails from Lennar employees. I have purchased several homes in the past and have never experienced this lack of communication/confusion that I did between Lennar employees. There is no reason company of this size can not streamline their process and make it more simplistic for the customer. I would never use Lennar finance/closing company again.

There were some painting issues that were somewhat small but quite visible. Baseboards that were painted but when the nail holes were filled they were done poorly and are quite visible in some areas and the color doesn’t match. Overall, I do love my new home except for that.

Lennar is a great company to use to build your home. They are responsive to questions or concerns and the quality is top notch.

Everything was very smooth, from the purchase agreement to closing. Everyone was very professional and knowledgeable with their roles. I would definitely recommend Lennar!

Hire an independent inspector prior to closing to avoid the long delays on items discovered after closing. Note that you sign away some warranty coverage required by state to you disadvantage and to Lennar's advantage.

I am writing to share my feedback regarding my recent home-buying experience with Lennar, which, unfortunately, has been the worst I have encountered in over 20 years of working in the real estate and mortgage industries. From the initial purchase to the final stages, the process was marked by poor customer service, unresponsiveness, and a lack of professionalism. My expectations for a seamless and professional experience were not met; instead, I dealt with significant frustrations. The Lennar sales representative I initially worked with showed some responsiveness at the start, but when it came. Still, when I offered and discussed details, he refused to meet in person and insisted on handling everything via text or email. This lack of flexibility and unwillingness to engage personally made the process feel cold and impersonal. Despite my repeated requests for verbal communication, they were ignored entirely. Calls often went unanswered or were returned only after several days. Adding to the frustration, my experience with Lennar Mortgage was equally disappointing. I was required to use their services, but the representative assigned to me was unresponsive and unhelpful. I specifically requested verbal discussions to accompany email interactions so that I could fully understand the process and ensure everything was handled correctly, but these requests were disregarded. It was incredibly difficult to get in touch with anyone for information or follow-up, which only added unnecessary stress to an already challenging situation. While the quality of the home itself may meet acceptable standards, the negative experience of purchasing it has overshadowed any perceived value. A significant investment like this should be accompanied by excellent customer service, and Lennar failed to deliver on this front. If I had it to do over again, I would not have purchased from Lennar, and I cannot recommend them to anyone. This experience has left me deeply disappointed and undervalued as a buyer. We have warranty items that have been identified to Lennar to be fixed. Some items like exterior doors that let air come through the threshold. This is a critical defect that is making our energy cost spike that has yet to be fixed. We have to keep rugs in front of the doors to keep our heat in. Other items have yet to be given an estimated time of completion.

I thought it was the right think to do to move into a new Lennar home. I bought a model that had been finished. I do appreciate the finishes in this price range and the layout and design. I had the home inspected. They resolved a couple items found on inspection including an outlet that should have been GCFI, but was not. However, since taking ownership, I have been finding defects in the home. Fiber Internet built into the home that didn't work. Crusty carpet where something had been spilled and a dent in the bathroom vinyl planking I discovered before moving in. A bathroom sink plumbed backwards between hot and cold and shoddy painting in places. I can't make any warranty claims until 90 days. Noisy neighboors despite the sales pitch about their build. In Lennar's defense, all their paperwork contained language that noise travelers between shared walls. I should not have brushed that off and should have heeded that warning. And this weekend, while it's 6 degrees outside, my furnace is barely functioning and it's 61 degrees in the house. The emergency call to the HVAC company resulted in being told that the venting pipes aren't right in the attic but they can't fix until next week. The inspector did not see this because Lennar seals the attic opening and he couldn't go up there. I now know why. Less than two months in and I realize the mistake I made. ... More

We experienced a great sales person who worked with us as we relocated to Andover, MN. It was great to see so many models so that we could make a decision on what kind of villa we wanted.

Don't work with Jennifer in sales and Whitney in the concierge dept unless you want a headache! Stay away from Lennar mortgage. Whitney is an untrustworthy person, they are not worth the headache.

Beginning the day you buy if you have a problem with something such as an unused appliance it has to go through a complicated warranty process. The warranty process made me produce confidential closing papers to prove I, not Lennar owned the appliance. I had issues with two appliances on day 1.

Lack of flexibility to make minor changes to things as simple as the color of wall paint was frustrating. Bathroom fixtures didn’t match drawer pulls, ceilings were not painted, etc.

We have been very happy with our experience with Lennar. Every person we encountered seemed to truly care about their workmanship and our satisfaction. The response to any situation or issue was/is handled quickly.

Actual home and build quality is good. So far, no major complaints. The issue with Lennar is how they treat you once you close and move in. Despite multiple complaints, construction manager has done nothing to prevent construction crews from blocking my driveway for hours every day while other homes are being built. Dismissive attitude, stating “luckily they will be done soon” when I brought up that I can’t leave for work or I’m not getting packages due to blockage. Gaslighting me when I bring up issues like missing paint, air bubbles under flooring, etc. “Nothing is perfect” is the response. We’ll see how the 90 day repair submission goes, the list is long. Overall a decent builder, and only thing that’s affordable in my area due to lower interest rate/deals by Lennar. Happy with things for the most part, but don’t expect the service you received before they took your money. Secondly, Lennar mortgage was a MESS. If I didn’t stay on top of every little detail, and basically do the job of loan officer and underwriter, my close would have been delayed, and my mortgage payment would have been late. Lennar hasn’t made this a great experience from the beginning. Why not just hire a company to do things right the first time, right? Our home needed many repairs right away, and it took quite a few attempts to get it corrected. We had taken multiple days off of work, to have nobody show up to our house to fix the issues. The closing was also less than expected. They were still asking for us to submit documentation post closing.. sounds like they didn’t have their ducks in a row-right? I would not recommend Lennar to anyone looking to buy a house.

My experience with lenner was so great. All the stages of the process were smooth. My loan officer and his team were so awesome, and they all did a great job. I will be glad to work with lenner anytime the needs arises.
