Poor supervision of Sub contractor's workmanship. Low quality hardware. Lack of hardware: No towel bars. No backing for towel bars. Careless / unnecessary damage to finished items like walls, concrete, pavers, windows, etc. while being built. Things that can't be repaired Complete disregard for buyers desire to have a few simple additions to the home while being built: Refusal to add an outlet, light, or insulate walls Lack of follow through to ensure deficiencies found on walk through are repaired properly or at all. ( I took five inspections to get to closing and at the end I finally gave up and decided to fix some things myself) ... More

Carissa is/was an absolute dream to work with. She is/was very prompt, understanding and incredibly knowledgeable. All of the issues were taken care of nicely very professionally.

A very stressful buying experience - Gyorgyi the sales rep for Lennar was the reason for our stressful buying experience. Encourage new buyers to get everything in writing and not assume anything. Gyorgyi was like a used car salesperson - tells you anything you want to hear whether is right or wrong - just to make the sale. Ultimately, we are happy with our home; however, we just about walked away from buying a home from Lennar.

It started out good and took a quick bad turn. First, my house is supposed to close in April and it closed in February. I found out why. They had me sign all the paper the last day of January on a Friday had I waited two days my interest rate would have been 4.5 but my interest rate was at 4.99. That was Friday night and I had 20 minutes to make it to the bank and they had me go and get it cashier check if they didn’t get it in by the 20 minutes it would’ve closed on Monday instead of Friday and I would’ve got the 4.5 interest rate . They told me in the office that I had to close Friday and I had to be back before that 20 minutes. I’m sure they didn’t know that Monday the interest rate was gonna drop. it took them three weeks to check out a breaker and a plug in my house for the dryer and now I have to contact the appliance company and have them come out because my dryer doesn’t work and I’ve been waiting. They just told me oh yeah, it’s your dryer contact the appliance company and have them replace it, I’m about five weeks out but no laundry. I open my windows and now I can’t close them because the wood swell from raining and the latch doesn’t fit in the slot no more the windows are very cheap. Period. I had tack boards on my stairs, sticking straight up under the carpet , as I’m walking up the stairs with my baby, they’re stabbing my feet, and I almost dropped him on every stair. It takes forever to get something done call Customer Care they have me do a video chat I got to submit something on the computer try to make two or three different appointments for someone to come by and fix anything not convenient for the homeowner at all. ... We found a perfect home for our big family. The Lennar experience of buying our first home was more memorable because of their responsiveness and complete guidance. Quality and value is all worth it. Thank you Lennar! Forever grateful.

a wonderful and quiet place.

We just bought a house and it came completely filthy. Paint splatters all over the floor. Screen door not fixed as they told us it would be. They just rush you through and pressure you to sign off and make promises that they don’t stick to. Beware on the construction sign off.

We had a good seemless experience.

No attention to detail, I expect more. Faucets crooked, outlets crooked and not flush, upgrades are extremely over priced. While I will continue to live here, I would NOT buy from this company again.

We have developed cracks in the walls and the walls, in general, appear to be thin. There are areas that appear to have less than expected quality for a home of this cost

Much of the exterior paint "touch up" is the wrong color. Looks bad.

This is the strangest homebuying experience I’ve ever had. Admittedly, I’ve never purchased a brand new home before, but I’ve never had so much miscommunication/misrepresentation(?) in a business deal before. While every person that I have worked with at Lennar has been nice and (seemingly) helpful, I constantly got incorrect information and made decisions based on that incorrect information. The right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing - as they say. Particularly problematic were the people in the mortgage department but the issue is across-the-board. I don’t plan on ever moving and really love where I’m at but if for some reason I had to purchase another new home, I would never buy from Lennar again. ... More

Meritage Homes purchasing in Arizona experience was 10x better overall.

Christina in the loan department was very much a professional she responded when questions were not necessary in her area. She forwarded to the correct person. Everyone in the process were all very helpvul and approachable,

All representatives for Lennar were great. The exception is the loan process. I understand policy and procedures. But the lack of attention to detail and accountability caused a lot of stress. My loan was approved the day before I had to vacate my apartment and started my new job. I supplied documents that were submitted multiple times...emails, pay slips...Other than that everything else was handled professionally.

There was a glass breakage issue. Bathroom tiles had cracks.

I had an amazing experience buying my first new home with Lennar. Thank you all!

Love our house. The Lennar team has been great fixing the little things on the punch list.

You know what, I've typed this review out a couple of times already and at this point I'm sick of talking about it, writing about, complaining about it to people that don't seem to care. I'm now stuck with a half a million dollar home and I don't trust anything in the closed walls. Just make sure you do your research, read reviews etc for Lennar. Its the build of the home itself, the subcontractors, and whoever else worked on it and tried hiding problems that I continue to find.
