Disappointed in the quality of of finishes for the amount of money charged for home.

For a new home and the lennar name the home should have been in better quality when we received it and the appliances are below par. Very noisy. Paint all over my upgraded flooring and even after someone came out to clean it a second time before we got the keys paint still on the floor

We really love our new home build by Lennar! The building crew was amazing - fast and good quality. The builders' supervisor was very responsive and kept us in the loop. He really went above and beyond. That said, the sale process was extremely shady and frustrating. The price kept going up by the week and even when they "released the lot" and had increased the price substantially from the initial price, they put us through blind bidding extorting even more money from us. After we moved into the house, the Lennar customer service is very good, for the most part.

I first became acquainted with Lennar when I moved from the East to west coast and settled in Las Vegas. I like the homes and use of space. I just brought my second Lennar home and I see the same issues. The first one is the entry way into the master bedroom is always smaller than the rest of the other door ways always making it hard to move furniture into the room. There is always a little space then the entry way. Also some of the electrical outlet and switches are always in the wrong spaces. I did have some issues once I moved in but they were fixed as soon as they were pointed out. Some other issues like stripped screws and uneven cabinets are the tradesman but then its the project manager which should be checking those issues but prob does not do so. While your in the process of buying everyone is attentive as soon as you close nobody is interested anymore. ... More

From feces left on door handles due to materials left in pipes flooding my new home, to urine stained “brand new” toilets, and even sour urine smelling “brand new” AC, my first 90 days was far from a great experience. Customer service did what they could, yet I was lied to by the construction staff and ALL these issues should have never existed. I highly doubt Lennar will use this survey review or even reach out to me.

Working with the customer service rep to fix certain things in the house was a difficult process. Communication was lacking, follow through was poor, and there was no one else to call at corporate to get help; were were stuck. Lennar builds a nice product, but our customer service experience at the end was not that great.

Quality could have been much better and for the amount of time it took to build. I would expect more. The lack of options is terrible. The “everything included” sounds great until you actually are in the buying process and you can’t add any options. You can pick counters, cabinets and floors. We weren’t even allowed to pick our paint color. They used flat paint everywhere in the house besides the wet areas which is easily marked and not easily cleaned. We decided to repaint the whole house before moving in because of it. Many neighbors are regretting not doing the same. They give what THEY think makes people happy and skimp out on the rest. The agent, Shay, was great and the team inside Lennar was pretty good. Unfortunately, Lennar is plagued with incompetence and cost cutting to the extreme at the top. The purchasing team needs to be updated and the design team needs to refocus on what matters in a successful design. I can understand removing the powder room from the RV garage to cut costs. But there was an opportunity to put tough ins for future for a sink on the back side of the master bath. The windows for the garage were removed, which was a design failure and cut very little overall cost. The door to the back yard was removed from the garage. The house has no linen closet, comes without towel bars, the faucets and door handles are chrome when the cabinet hardware is brushed. The front door hardware is also brushed. Nothing matches, we as owners are unable to add outlets or change anything. The bedrooms don’t have any lighting or switched outlets at time of turnover. There are just so many missed opportunities here and with no additional costs or very little at most a more cohesive and quality design a could be accomplished. It boils down to a lack of proper oversight from the executive level. As a side note, Lennar showed the property with a 2% commission advertised for my agent and then tried to change to a lower flat fee around time of closing. Was not the best experience with the mortgage, multiple issues and this isn't my first home. It's my 7th. WAY to many people to deal with and communication was a challenge at best. Quality is ok, but the crew that does the finish work not so great. Have found multiple finishes that are mediocre. They seem to be more concerned about getting them to completion rather than Quality.

Not super happy may choose another builder next purchase

Good parts: great floor plan and house is functional. Bad parts: lots of finishing defects that don’t get fixed right away. Then you have to deal with crappy customer service. Example: bad paint job on exterior fascia - someone came to fix and used the wrong paint color - how does that happen? Example: During the final walk, we marked dozens of problems to be fixed with masking tape. Only the documented major problems were addressed and all of our tape was removed without resolution. I like the house, we just don’t like having to deal with all of the issues that came with it. I think a lot of this could have been mitigated with better quality control. ... More

I am not technologically sophisticated. I have found reporting and following up confusing, frustrating, and non-productive. There also were an exorbitant number of problems.

These are my personal opinion and experience and may be the exception. The new appliances that came with the unit was not of great value. Had refrigerator break down (lost frozen food) and dryer not functioning as it should. Called repair service under warrenty but parts took 2 weeks delivery. Purchased another brand.

I had two significant plumbing leaks after moving in. Customer service was very responsive but it was especially inconvenient to have contractors in and out of home for over three weeks for repairs. That was in addition to basic paint/cabinet repairs to address poor workmanship. I was expecting better quality for the price.

Overall, I was disappointed with my homebuying experience.

Basically all these should be 1 or 2s. Only reason I gave more is I got a deal. Only one person deserves five stars in the whole process and that’s my loan officer. My cons was a still amazingly dirty to the point I actually missed stuff on my walk through that were damage. Having plaster everywhere. I have to get on my hands and knees to clean my flooring cause it has paint and plaster on verywhere and I have to scrub it out the groves. I had one 2 min phone call from Title. I had to call my loan officer to find out I closed. Then mortgage didn’t have the decency to call me when they sold the loan cause it was too late. I got the paperwork from the other mortgage company 2 weeks before I got anything from lennar. And by the time I got it from them and realized I owed one payment to lennar it was past due already. Received it after the due date. A phone call would have helped that it would have been a 2 min phone call hey calling you to let you know all this is happening and what to expect I know we are a little late on paperwork but it’s coming. ... Main house ac was not properly connected and secondary ac was cooling the entire house causing an enormous electricity bill in the summer. Multiple paint and cleaning issues not fixed by closing as promised, but nothing major. Quality is not as high as Beazer homes

Your process for warranty work should be an in-person meeting not and online video call that the homeowner should have to do. When warranty work is being completed a representative from Lennar should be there or at least communicating with the homeowner. I have sat around for many hours waiting for work to be done and a few times no show or later than told with no call.

Lennar Title is the absolute worst. No response before or after purchase. Forgot to notify my realtor about walk thru date changes. Walk thru is 1 hr - orientation only - no time to stop to look for problems or issues. Customer Care response is hit or miss. House is gorgeous, makes it easier to look past the scratched and dented appliances, the gouges in the granite, the plain glass windows in the bathrooms, the paint spatters all over the overpriced LVP flooring.

Buyers need to be aware of what is included in the $80,000 Everything Included package. Here is an example, under features the Ring Security Kit says Ring Alarm Window and Door Contact Sensor. There is only a sensor on the front door and the slider. During the walk-thru I asked where the rest of the sensors are on the other windows and doors. Their answers was it only says window and door (singular). Purchasing a $900k house and they can even add sensors to the rest of the doors and windows which cost $99 on Amazon and I know the builder gets it cheaper since they have a contract with Ring. There are no CAT5 outlets anywhere in the house and it's not even an option. They give you one eero Pro 6 mesh wifi system which only covers up to 2000sq. ft. The smallest house in our community is 3300 sq. ft. We caught that during our walk-thru and they ended up sending us another one so we can get internet throughout the house. A house at this price point they can't even put a $20 drain pan under the water heater. Interior paint is a cheap flat white with no option for upgrade to satin or different color. 4 of our neighbors had their house repainted at an extra cost averaging $4500. ... More

The upstairs floor is wavey and squeaky. The kitchen counter tops are different colors and we were told we're looking at it wrong. Huge gap between garage door and house, we were told it's normal. No other house I've owned had a gap like this neither does any other house in this neighborhood. The kitchen cabinets are white, we ordered espresso. No heat or a.c. flowing in vent to downstairs master. That was resolved after two visits. The fire door from the garage into the house is split in the center thru the deadbolt and knob. I was told by the manager that she spoke with the manufacturer and a split door is just as good as one that isn't....what?Still not resolved. Upstairs sliding glass door has no weather strip and blows the vertical blinds like the door is open. It's been a month, still not resolved. House was over a month late from our agreed finish date. Electrician had to come change breaker in laundry room because it tripped every time washer hit spin cycle. Overall I'm dissatisfied and will never recommend or purchase from lennar. Out of my 7 new home purchases, this was the worst by a large margin. The floor plan works for us, that's all the positive I can say. Quality and workmanship was not the best. It was posted as a gated community on their website but it was not. Response to issues was not the best either.

Not really like the design

The fact that they lied to us about our closing delays. We love our house. We love what we chose for our upgrades. The construction process was great, however the paperwork and behind the scenes was completely an unorganized mess. We were lied to about FHA/HUD delays that we had a feeling were lies, and recently found out to be definite lies. So disappointing. Nothing we can do about it now but definitely made me angry!

It's amazing the things you find out about the contract you signed quickly along with the Builder etc, etc, after you move in. The Realtor just wants to sell sell sell and the builder just wants to put up a house very quickly!!! They don't care if the doors line up or if the floors are level or if there is insulation in the roof. GET A HOME INSPECTION BEFORE MOVING IN!!!
