Overall, my experience with Lennar was disappointing and unnecessarily challenging. I had heard great things about the company, however, it seems like they have made a lot of changes, especially within the last five years. The most difficult part of the process was Lennar mortgage. We had a very challenging time getting responses and information in a timely manner if at all. I like my new Lennar home, exept for one issue: I signed a contract on my house, which is the Carson model, based on the model which I saw. It was beautiful, and the refrigerator and cabinetry in the kitchen were perfect. I didn't get to see the actual home I had purchased until after I signed. I assumed the refrigerator and cabinetry would fit like the model. Imagine my surprise when I looked at the kitchen and saw a big gap between the top of the refrigerator and the cabinetry above- about a 15 inch gap, with all unfinished wood exposed. There was a lack of communication between the company, buyer and agent. Often times requests needed to be sent several times. Two areas we marked in our initial and final walk throughs are still not corrected.

My overall description of the house would be shoddy workmanship. I am regretting the purchase more each day. Getting repairs done is a long term nuisance and dealing with the HOA is a nightmare.

They really don’t put effort in making a home feel “new” there are too many things that need adjusting. There was even some major things. The people who come in to fix the issues don’t show up on time nor do they respect your home and just try to make it look “good enough”. The walls are also way too thin.

While I am happy with the home itself, the homebuying experience with the Lennar team was less than average. There seems to be a disconnect between all departments within the sales process; from sales to project management to concierge services and then the walkthrough team. Anytime there was something that needed to be corrected or followed-up, each person I would talk with would say someone else on the team should have handled that, but would never take ownership in ensuring things were rectified. My buying experience has been very disappointing. The quality of workmanship throughout the unit is poor and not what I expected for a property that cost $600K. Cabinetry, flooring, painting, backsplash are all substandard and I have call backs for all areas. Air conditioning unit is so loud it sounds like the runway at the airport and I’m continually told they are “working on it”. It seems these properties are just thrown up and they move on with no regard to quality.

The home buying process with Lennar was highly disappointing. Our brand new home looked like it had already been lived in— dings in the walls, imperfections in the paint, torn up baseboards, paint splatters on our upgraded laminate flooring, and carpet, as well as a dirty home that was NOT cleaned after construction before move-in. Both the front and back doors are difficult to close and take a bit of force, while lifting up on the door to get them to close properly. I have had nothing but usses, last straw was I signed all the paperwork and didn't get possession for 7 days. As I was paying for the place. Sent emails asking to be reimbursed, as of today Aug 16th ZERO ZERO ZERO response. My keys were not even presented to me, left on counter with construction workers. They got my money, and left me hanging.

I had bought several new homes from kbhome, century communities and Lennar. Lennar workmanship is the worst I have seen and to name a few, you can see the paint roller on the ceiling, nails sticking out of baseboard, cracks in the bath tubs, etc....My main complain is the interior and exterior paint quality and workmanship. It seems the painter didn't care and just paint one layer of paint instead of severals and be done with the job. I even can paint better than them. I am sad to be giving such a poor review when I absolutely love our home and had a great experience with so many of the team. I will start with the good parts. I love the home, the location, and the Lennar product. Rick the construction manager and Dana the Customer Service manager have been simply wonderful all throughout. Alex from Lennar mortgage was fabulous and though we had bumps on the road he moved mountains to help turn things around and was patient with our technology imperfections. The workmanship on these homes is subpar. I am still having issues with many items in my house. Make sure you do an extremely through walk through, look at the ceilings, floors, walls, cabinets, and drawers. They do not do a good job with quality control of their workmanship/contractors.

If I know what I had to go throw, I wouldn’t have gone with Lennar. The are responsive as they are trying to sign you up to buy the house and once you do, they disappear, the customer service is horrible, they don’t explain anything, you stay in limbo waiting for them to tell what happening and they will keep rescheduling forever and then when you get to talk to somebody, you get nothing but attitude. I don’t recommend it.

There were over 25 issues upon closing on the house in August. It has taken over 3 months to get these issues resolved. I don't believe the house was even inspected by the onsite Lennar team prior to the closing date. Horrible experience!

The quality is lacking and Phil the customer service rep is horrible it wasn’t until I got a hold of his boss that anything got done around my house. They slap the houses together and want to walk away as soon as you move in no follow up poor customer service

It was our first home buying experience, and I was hoping to enjoy it. Overall they did ok, but the mortgage part with constant postpones and delays was frustrating. Moreover, the construction manager was very irresponsible and would not fix stuff that we noted during the walkthrough.

I purchased one of the models. It had several issues. The builder did a poor job correcting the issues and flat refused a few others that had it been a brand new house never would they let it happen.

Cindy our sales agent was great. We were told we could close after we got back from vacation, the sales manager than told us we couldn't and we needed to close before we left. After speaking with several people, they honored the original agreement. We did a walk through with the agent, there were alot of touchup and other items not working, to which I was told, would be corrected. Flooring feels like it's coming up, wall paint peels off by wiping it, caulking on floor peels, bunch of nails, screws, papers, plastic, etc that has came up just by leveling the dirt in my backyard, paint on windows, back sliding door wouldn't stay on tracks for about 2 weeks..
