Beautiful models, abysmal service

My wife and I fell in love with Lennar's models and neighborhoods. The construction quality looked pretty solid as well. That said, we ended up going through 4 Lennar Realtors. Each worse than the last: we caught them lying, they'd yell at us, even manipulated the contract without our consent. There were several grievous actions we'd observed from the realtor team. When escalated to the regional manager, he only advised that perhaps I should get some education on how the home buying process worked. My personal realtor and I were dumbstruck by this response. Never buying a Lennar Home again.

I would never purchase another Lennar Home again. The buying experience as well as the structural issues we faced were appalling and costly. The lack of communication throughout the process was the worst I’ve ever dealt with. Our 3rd party inspector released a 35 page report of everything that needed to get fixed, replaced, upgraded, re-wired or replaced before we moved in. The house flooded 2 days before closing. The exterior of the home was not was we seen or expected on any signed docs, models or brochures. Overall the worst buying experience for our first home. THE WORST!

Horrible experience by my brand new home with Lennar I do not recommend this builder I have the following issues and have never been resolved: 1. Significant deviation between what was delivered and the model I toured. 2. Unable to get cold water because they failed to dig the water piping. 3. I received old appliances probably because the nicer ones were not available anymore. 4. The materials you use are embarrassingly bad. How can you put those super cheap showers in and not offer an upgrade. The whole house needs to be redone. The toilets even clog with just toilet paper because you got the cheapest you can find. The price was always changing using one for the first few homes then just raising it a lot more. Was not impressed at all about that.

The lender we worked with seemed inexperienced, struggled to answer questions, and appeared intimidated when faced with direct communication and strong personalities. The whole experience was horrible. From the loan application to the walk-through. The company in my view cuts corners in their building. Not transparent about the HOA and what the HOA requires. Such as having to submit an application for landscaping. It’ felt like to me that Lennar is all about selling a house. Not providing transparency. Terrible Builder!!! You are just a number. Changed finish products without notification. Used more inexpensive and cheaper materials. Numerous examples; 2 foot on center studs in house not 16”, very shorty workmanship. No cold water due to water for complex coming from water tank on mountain, not disclosed! Endless issues. Would NOT recommend Lennar to anyone!

Lennar has been a very disappointing experience. Their communication is terrible, the seller, lender, and processors don’t work together as a team. Instead of being on the same page, they go back and forth, pass the blame, and create unnecessary delays. The loan officer was not professional or nice to deal with, and overall customer service has been poor. On top of that, the workmanship of the house is not impressive. From day 1 with the initial sales contract and the tons of disclosures that were not made to the crazy surprises at closing, there isn’t enough space to describe all the communication and customer service failures by sales, construction and customer service/warranty//walk throughs. There was poor follow through on issues, the defensive attitudes by really everyone, untruthful statements, and extra hidden cost were unimaginable and never experienced by us in any of the 7 previous new homes we have purchased in our 40 years in Las Vegas.

This is the WORST house purchase I have experienced. This is a DIY loan and home purchase. There is NO personal contact - everything is done with text, email & e-docs. I was scheduled to close on Dec 9 but because the title wasn’t transferred I closed on Dec 23rd and I was not compensated for all my expenses I paid.

Every aspect of buying a Lennar home was met with a challenge, and even once moved in, there are still issues and challenges. From initially trying to view the home at an advertised open house where there was actually no open house at all, to dealing with the completely incompetent lender which made mistake after mistake on the paperwork and their communication was awful, to the blue tape walk thru where there was a ton of items that needed to be "fixed" such as paint, grout, cabinet fronts, appliance issues etc, that were only half completed on the final walk thru and so we are still ...

Disappointed is the nicest word I can use. Maryanne in sales couldn't answer any questions; Alex in mortgage started out fine but then wouldn't respond to voicemail or emails; Title called on a Sunday night and said we had to sign on Monday (because apparently we don't have jobs or lives). Courtney who did our walk was amazing. She was proactive, thorough, and professional. Paul who met with us about our warranty was also great; very knowledgeable and helpful.

Not customer service at all in any department. The materials and accessories that they used are the cheapest . I saw the blinds that they put in a $750.000 house at Walmart for $15.00 . Chrome fixtures the cheapest. We knew what we were buying but we didn’t realize how bad it was.

Poor supervision of Sub contractor's workmanship. Low quality hardware. Lack of hardware: No towel bars. No backing for towel bars. Careless / unnecessary damage to finished items like walls, concrete, pavers, windows, etc. while being built.
