1. The licensed realtor-sales representative from Lennar informed us we were REQUIRED to use Lennar Title for escrow services. When we cited the Nevada law that Buyer may choose Escrow company, she referred us to the Division President in Reno. He agreed we could use our own Escrow company, but would forfeit up to 6K in closing cost incentives. Surprised a licensed real estate agent would say we were REQIURED to use Lennar Title. 2. The onsite Lennar sales team was consistently friendly and professional throughout the buying process. The home itself is well-built and meets expectations for a spec home. However, my experience with Lennar’s corporate side was significantly less positive. I found the process to lack transparency, with unexpected fees and details surfacing after the contract had already been signed. One notable example is the county transfer tax (approximately $2,500). The people in the office are congenial when talking to them, though hard to get a hold of when calling or texting. I had my 30 day walk through and haven't heard anything back in three weeks when it will be fixed.. Other than that it has been good.

Our experience with Lennar was extremely disappointing, primarily due to poor communication throughout the entire process. From the beginning, our sales agent did not clearly communicate which homes were available, which made the search more difficult than it should have been. Communication issues continued even after closing. At one point, our main point of contact (the sales agent) left, and no one informed us we only found out after trying to reach them ourselves. Tract home, but the guys in charge of construction oversight are good and experienced. Structurally good, so far. Windows are better quality than expected while we looked at homes. Insulation is very good throughout the home. Cabinets are tract quality. Painting and texture was good, not perfect. Floors are good. Leaky dishwasher, so waiting to get that fixed. Appliances are GE, so... Lot grading is good. Fences won't go too much more than 7 years. Neighbors are great. Good mix of old and young. Mostly ex Commiefornians. Overall got what we paid for. After I bought the home and had issues and questions, I both called and texted my sales agent several times and no response from her. It seems like after they sell you the home they don’t respond to you anymore. On the other hand, Shawn in the customer care department has been wonderful and has responded to issues promptly.

The home builder supervisor does a great job, the 2 ladies at the home center on Camp Station Dr do a great job. Norm n Jeff both did a great job as well. A few minor things that you notice when you don't have your shoes on, mounds of cement under carpet in Master and living room. Hopefully it will be taken care of swiftly.
