Poor work and construction quality

The purchase and mortgage process was quick, efficient, and Scott walked us through the mortgage process step by step. The walk through was organized, but a lot of "blue tape” areas were listed. Unfortunately, at the closing most of these blue tape areas were not addressed. We were led to believe they would be fixed while we signed our closing documents. Issues with our New Home

We unfortunately have had on-going issues such as a main shower water leak and a secondary bathroom exhaust fan leak that have yet to fixed - almost two months now since we moved in! We will not shower in the main bathroom because of the large amount of water that will leak onto the floor after showering. All together we have had about 15 service requests, many of which have been fixed. However, some have not been to date. Buying from Lennar has been a positive experience. The design is modern, functional and lots of space. If I was to suggest any improvement it will be the following: better quality appliance package, go the extra mile and finish the garage, change paint supplier and last offer the option of installing blinds.

The only issues I had with the complete experience was with the mortgage people and their under writers. The mortgage staff were not that responsive and could have cost me a lot extra money by not paying attention to the market and how the interest rate was going up. I would hope that their job was to help people get the best rate and to watch what was happening and advise the buyer to lock in sooner then they did. The sales team and all the construction managers who work on the site have been excellent and are a pleasure to work with.

If you are looking in the 55+ category you should check out a Lennar community. We starting by chatting with Ekaterina who explained all the model options and communities beforehand so we knew which community in PA to focus on. We made our appointment with Brighid who was patient, efficient and showed us great models in Meadows at Hillview to select from. Gina was excellent from start to finish. She was very attentive and thorough and despite being asked hundreds of questions, she responded to each and every one with patience and concern. We were updated on the progress of our home from start to finish with occasional pictures sent to show the progress. Everyone has been very easy to deal with; even after moving in, the team at Lennar have continued to be responsive to any and all concerns.

The office staff was very professional and responsive. Gina Hurff is a great communicator with regular correspondence. The attention to detail in the finished home could be better. A few more choices in design options and material color would be appreciated fir a home of that price. Overall a good experience.

Lennar home buying overall experience was great with minus one star. Positive: excellent, trustworthy sales team; weekly photo/video updates were very helpful; smooth communication with construction team (prior to closing only); easy and clear closing process; good material for the price. Went very smooth with our buying experience. All the important details were lead by Lennar employees. They lead us by the hand throughout the process. Happy with most of the house, but a couple appliances were less than average(stove and dishwasher). We’ll have to replace soon. Nice community.

Our home buying experience with Lennar went very smooth. Unfortunately that’s where the happy story ends. I am appalled with the workmanship and what we were presented with as a “final” and supposedly “new” product. Wood is split all over…there are chunks missing from my cabinets, and the paint job quite literally looks like it was completed by amateur middle schoolers. There’s paint all over the carpets and floors…railings…light fixtures….it’s horrendous. Working with Heather in sales was a great experience. She is helpful and prompt in her responses. We love the layout of our home and what it has to offer and feel that the overall construction is done well. However, the finish drywall and carpentry work leaves much to be desired. The work is the equivalent of a weekend DI wire not a professional builder. The accepted level of finish work shows the construction team’s lack of attention to detail.

Lennar construction team did good job in delivering home on time but there were some issues with windows, stairs, drywall and more. Good thing is construction manager Jim is so good and responsive, he made sure most of my issues were resolved. We’re not happy with sales team. Our sales manager Brighid didn’t provide proper updates about house construction or open issues within the house. Also she wasn’t there during closing formalities neither contacted us before or after closing.

Good Builder to work with. Some issues with the home at signing but they are fairly timely with there response to issues. Be warned the interim HOA board set up prior to being handed over to the community are terrible, non-responsive and flexible with the needs of the initial homeowners who move in during during development construction phase.

Weird customer service experience with Lennar. Seems like they are rushing through closings and leaving too many outstanding items to be fixed after I moved in. House is nice and I’m happy I bought it but Lennar as a company has not impressed me at all.. quite the opposite.

Worst experience with Lennar home Construction

Construction managers are the worst ever. It’s really a worst home buying experience. They would literally lie. During the walk they say they would take care of it. When you move in they say they didn’t say that. They try to take advantage of Covid and supply chain problem and replace appliances with lower cost ones to save costs. They even try to save costs by not painting some walls

There is a design issue with fridge. Several people came to our home and haven’t heard from anyone yet. Verh poor accountability for issue.fridge was provided by lennar.. built by lennar and yet they won’t do any anything about the issue

Little value for the money.

Not flexible to any design changes. Every house is built to existing plans which cannot be changed anywhere. You must ask which plan has most of the features you want and go with it realizing you are missing a couple of features you want. Poor aspects of design and workmanship can be easily identified. The finishing of the baseboards, window sills, and doors were so bad we made them do over. The repainting the trim was worse than the original so we ended up sanding everything down and we repainted ourselves. Lack of quality control and resolution of issues

The overall buying process was relatively simple. The complexity comes when the workmanship and quality comes into play. Lack of attention to detail - not a lot of pride in workmanship. Outstanding issues from Settlement are taking months to get resolved. I'm hearing the same thing from other home owners as well. If you are able, I'd recommend not completing settlement until the issues are resolved unless you want workers in and out of your house for months.

Lennar - Building manager unable to resolve all issues and claimed things

Building manager unable to resolve all issues and claimed things were not fixable. I.e. framing issues around windows that had to be fixed post move in and re dry walled. Other areas such as chip in counter and damaged kitchen cabinet not fixed to owner satisfaction when pointed out in pre walkthrough. Other areas it was clear that blue tape was removed without addressing such as paint next to kitchen door. Tape was removed but not painted until closing day when homeowner pointed out it was missed again.
