From the initial sales appointment, confirming options, coordinating with my third party inspections, to closing on the home, the service from Lennar exceeded expectations. My construction manager assigned was responsive and sent weekly videos of the construction process which made me feel like I didn’t have to go onsite all the time to check progress.

Joe our sales person was awesome. The building supervisor worked hard. We did run into a few issues that needed addressed, we are not happy at all on how the rock was cemented up to the vinyl on front of the house. It looks like crap and will need repaired soon.We run into issues that concerns us on the seal plate on the right side of the house. Also we’re disappointed with our driveway having to shift to avoid a manway.

I had a great buying experience with Maria and Eirik, my only real complaint was the landscape company did a really poor job with the quality of sod and trees. Then they replace some of it and I am left dealing with the rest of the weeds not sod on my own

For me, I felt like the loab approval process was a bit much. I was asked questions that I didn't really feel was appropriate. They also asked for the same documents that I'd already sent in to a previous employee. I felt like they weren't communicating to each other. I think that a better quality paint should have been used. The paint is not able to be wiped down without the paint coming off the walls.Other than that, I love my new house.

Lied to about putting in fence

I was told throughout the home buying process by the realtors in the office and walk through team, who are all employed of Lennar, that I could put a fence in my backyard as long as it was 4ft or 5ft back aluminum. I have had the most frustrating time getting my fence approved since day 1. There are other houses with fences like mine that don’t cover the entire property. Buying a Lennar home was fairly easy. This is my first “brand new” home purchase. I didn’t expect a perfect house at this price point, but there were a few things that surprised me. Things I didn’t expect: 1. My closing date was used as leverage to not get things fixed during the pre-closing walk-through. “If you need that done it may delay your closing.” 2. Poor craftsmanship and clearly poor quality control. Land was not prepped before sod was laid. I've been here two months and I'm still pulling up softball size chunks of concrete, nails, screws, saw blades, galvanized steel brackets. The sod is low quality, 1/8 of it is dead, not dormant, but dead, a third of it is infested with weeds. Half of the walls aren't straight, either y'all can't afford a chalk line, level, plumb bob, tape measure, or the quality of the lumber isn't worth the cost of the house. Buying from Lennar - Expedited Sale

Lennar had this home on the books and wanted it sold immediately. I signed off on the offer because my slaesperson needed it to make his month and was in a sales meeting. My agent and others at Lennar said not to worry about the closing date in 3 weeks, that we could adjust it afterwards. Und=fortunately that was not the case. In order to make this sale happen, I dealt with over 400 emails in the 3 weeks to follow, often with differing advise from different parties. Not sure how I feel

I feel that our home was rushed to make a closing date. The sod was not yet rooted. In comparison to the rest of the homes in the neighborhood there were very few shrubs planted. The tree in the front will probably have to be replaced. There are door hinges that don’t appear to be properly installed and so on.

Throughout the entire home the paint and trim job is terrible!! Extremely sloppy. A brand new home should be perfect. You can see they don’t really care to do their best which was extremely disappointing. 1 month in and we have nails popping out through the dry wall. Every day I find more and more imperfections. And flat paint throughout the entire house is ridiculous. I would have paid more just to have better paint. At the end of the day I chose Lennar homes because it’s the best bang for my buck right now.

The purchasing process itself was fine. The coordination with Lennar reps was pretty terrible. Multiple reps blatantly lied about inspection results and new home orientation dates. The Lennar-run HOA is a complete nightmare.

Poor quality and lack of knowledge at its best

A builders grade paradise. We don't know, or we don't do that are the mottos around here. No consideration for the overall ambience of the development, homes are built with lack of the consideration of the ability of the buyers who are new to the area to have access to services and information of availability unless you are willing to be Facebook savvy and trusting of your "neighbors". Air leaks and failing " finishing" touches are common, the washouts of the so called irrigation system are not only annoying but dangerous at times. You get the picture. And it only promises to get worse.

The subdivision has been left a mess with uncompleted sidewalk, poor workmanship, incomplete drainage facilities, incomplete common areas, construction debris and trash everywhere.

I could never receive an immediate answer on any issue, every reply took anywhere from 3 - 14 days. Every concern regarding the build of my home was either disregarded or denied. 3rd Party walk-through was never performed as promised. 90% of blue tape items noted as deficient were not completed and then bent over a barrel to sign-off and close or incur fees. If given a choice, I would never deal with LENNAR again, but I don't think that any other builder in this current climate would be any different or better.
