Great location- not so great customer service

The process was smooth but there was always something missing in every step. lennar mortgage part was missing communication in all levels. The lender did not have patience and did not answer all our questions in timely manner and finally started to respond after i kept calling and bugging her. . The sales part was good and all but did not provide us with all details of the upgrade options. We wanted the back patio but he did not tell us that was even an option he only mentioned the screened porch. Later after we signed only then when we realized that the patio did not come with our screened ...

Minor Adjustments to "Spec" Home

Overall, very pleased with the total purchasing, building, and move-in support processes. We were a little disappointed in the inability to make "minor" changes to the building plan months prior to construction actually starting. Not real pleased with the way the property was final graded. The degree of slope and the drainage between the houses causes standing water/mud. Also, much of the foundation concrete slab is exposed with the slope starting immediately next to the house.

I hope that someone is reading this. This is my second experience with this builder and unfortunately it wasn't satisfactory, again. Starting from raising the price after agreeing and paying the deposit, to the mediocre communication level throughout the building process, to the closing day to discover zillion type of "fees" - such as $750 paid to the builder to continue building the community! -, to receiving the wrong keys of the house because of which I can't change the schlage code until today, to time after receiving the house to discover that a door missing a knob, the heating system is ...

Poor quality and sloppy work

A disappointing experience. The personnel have been very nice throughout; however, this does not make up for the other issues. The quality of material is terrible for the price paid and there is no attention to detail. The finish work, in particular, is shockingly sloppy. Some of it can be touched up but many items will never look they way they should. We didn’t expect perfection, but this suggests work being done as fast as possible with no regard for how the finished product looks. Does no one have any pride in their work? I so wish we hadn’t purchased this home and I’m very worried about ...

The builder was responsive and addressed all my issues immediately. My last Construction Manager was great. Sales Rep was great. My experience with Lender was not good at all..

My experience with the Lennar Lender Rep was not good at all from beginning to end. Very poor communication and responsiveness, poor update related to my loan. Pushing automated emails was good enough for him, but communication was the worse experience I've had. The material used for the home fell short and the seller and construction manager did their best to address all issues. Quality of the material is not good, plastic fixtures, painting was subpar. The foundation of the home, flooring and space design seems solid so far. I expect some issues out of a new home, but wish for better ...

Love the house. Issues of where light switches are. Selection process to restricted. Orientation to the community was lacking. Sod was in fair condition; bushes seem to be dying. Would have preferred to have options on flooring. Never informed there would be a retention pond so close to my house.

LOVE my house and location but once I closed - crickets! I’ve had to request mailbox keys and how to pay HOA dues. No one ever welcomed me to the community let alone see if I had any questions after moving in. “Fully Connected” and “easy DIY” are a joke. Most new homeowners I’ve asked are NOT connected to their devices because they can’t figure out how to set them up. Lennar takes your money but then, you’re on your own!

Lennar sales and finance people were great to work with and buying a Lennar home was easy! Any time I have had an issue with my new house their warranty people have been kind and responsive. However, Lennar compromised on the quality of some of the materials. The quality of the interior paint is terrible! It picks up marks from simply touching it and cannot be cleaned without exposing the driwall. The carpet is also of very low quality picking up dirt and staining with normal use. It has gone from a light gray to a dingy tan with casual use. The exterior foundation is covered with a brittle ...

Poor quality control of subcontractors. However, when the home owner identifies problems, they are quickly repaired.

Lennar responded:

The overall buying experience was good, however there was an issue that was shared during my decision process that was short of accurate. The lack of parking has been less than desirable. I was told that I had two parking spaces in front of my townhome. However, when I double-checked after purchasing my home, I was told something different. There is not enough parking, nor is there adequate street lights for safety.

There are lot of repairs and replacements left before closing. And its tedious to follow up on these things. The builder is responsive but many things were listed. And the quality of material is not up to the grade. its been only a month we move and I see cracks. Even the reporting issue is not fixed properly.

Interesting First Time Home Buying Experience

When I first started the process, the sales team was great! Turns out they unfortunately fibbed about many of the things that "sold" me on the community. I also really liked my Project Manager, that is, until I saw my neighbors homes who have the same exact unit and their workmanship was much nicer than mine. I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of my home on my close date - my mother and I ended up spending 4.5 hours cleaning drywall dust off of baseboards, light switches, etc. Very disappointing experience overall.

Not a bad experience but definitely could be improved. Sales people don't handle the stuff professionally, too many emails are something which worries but handling this scale is also not an easy thing as well. I hope they either slow down or add more staff so that they can handle customers professtionally. They need support staff before sales who can listen to the customers complains.

Options to choose the material and appliances was not available. Also once signed the contract at the very beginning we didn’t had chance to make even a single option even a day after signing the contract. Would have been good to see all the options ahead of time rather than during the contract signing

While we love our home, there were several things that did not impress us with Lennar. The project management was average, at best. In construction and project management, you run into delays, that is part of the job. The handling of and working around delays was not executed to a level we expected. This forced them to rush through our home in the final month of construction. Towards the end of our construction period, we learned that Lennar's fiscal year ended on November 30th and there were a certain number of homes that had to be completed. Lennar put their interests in front of the buyer ...

Beautiful home—but major landscaping issues

Overall, we’re very happy with our home and the neighborhood that was created by Lennar. We are especially happy with the layout & design and the comfort of our home. However, some of the features describe to us during the purchasing process turned out not to be true, i.e., light fixtures and smart home support. The biggest disappointment is the landscape drainage and the grading of our lot which Lennar refuses to correct potentially leaving us with problems in the future.

The structure and neighbors are great. The process with the mortgage loan by Eagle was not good. Communications with the sales staff after signing the agreement to purchase essentially disappeared. Transparency from the corporate group is/was questionable regarding the status of the overall property transactions. Getting a straight answer regarding an estimated completion date for the amenities center continues to be a challenge.
