While I enjoy my home, cosmetically, there was a poor job done on many things to cut corners.

The back light in the patio doesn’t work. They never put the shutters that goes above the garage, still sitting in the garage in a box. Looks like the spill the light grey paint on my dark brown floors did a bad clean up and you can tell.

Hundreds of flaws that aren’t all corrected. You have to inspect your home extremely thoroughly and stay on them about repairs or they won’t get it done.

Lack of quality. Townhouse was not ready for homeowner inspection. Blue tape walk through was rough as there were tons of cosmetic issues and rep was stingy with the blue tape. Zero flexibility to add anything. Too worried about the bottom line to even put in pendent lights over the island.

I would not pick Lennar to build my next home...

  • Bikram G.

Lennar did not use the quality material and did not install enough studs to support the weight of the house. My kitchen area feels so shaky that I fear it might break some day - specially around the kitchen island area. I reached out to Lennar reps with the problem but all they offered is lip service. Not happy with the experience...

I went with Lennar thought I had few other options, based on my first home experience which was positive. This time the house got into series of repairs in first month. Now, I’m following up for reimbursement but the response is very slow

lots of electrical issues and when you call call center(customer service) they are rude and keep telling you that they are trying to reach out the contractor but since they are out in the field, its tough to get in touch with them. we have been in house for almost 5 months and still have issues pending since we moved in.

Lennar responded:
Thank you for sharing your comments. We are sorry to hear about the level of service you have received. As a previous lennar home owner we know lenanr is very average in construction quality and materials. Finishing doesn’t look great, we can clearly see rifts in the baseboard, squeaky noises from the floors. Just that the location of this site is good and that’s the only reason we bought this property.otherwise nothing to be proud about. Lot size is a joke just 0.13 acres. The pace at which the house was built gave us a hint that the construction quality is questionable and true to that our doubts were proven correct.

Not sure if Lennar is after repeat customers

It does not seem like Lennar values repeat business and a loyal customer base. Service was awesome up until the sale happened and then it's a downhill. Even the person that did new home orientation was amazing during that meeting, said he all the great things you want to hear, and offered to be of assistance after the closing and even asked me to save his mobile phone number to provide advice down the road and so on - I contacted him five times after and crickets... Be careful with their crew and at the end of the day there's no value for words.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon,

Thank you for taking the time to share your post closing experience with us. I’m sorry you aren’t satisfied with the way your requests have been handled.

If there are still any outstanding warrantable issues, please submit a warranty request online through your Lennar Account. This ensures your request is documented and prioritized for a quick resolution.

Sincerely,
Lennar Corporate Customer Care

Safety concerns not addressed till today by land department

My property happens to be the end unit on the side of the busy road where cars come at 45 MPH. I have taken photographs highlighting the need of the fencing similar to the fencing adopted by neighbor communities in Amberley area who are on the same side of the busy road. I wrote a note to Lennar sales, Lennar land department.. still they are not addressed. Their say is, its not in the layout and cannot be actioned upon. I have been asking the sales team to direct me to someone on the land department to talk about my concerns, I have never been directed till today. It has been almost 4 ...

The process started off great..

The process started off great! Everyone was nice and the communication was excellent. Our closing date was pushed back three times due to permits building issues. Each new closing date we were promised everything would be ready to go by the new closing date and that was never the case. We were told all blue tape issues and the overall home would be done before we moved in and they were not. Even after we closed on the home there were still blue tape issues that had never been fixed so we have a list of work orders to submit.

Keeping promises on construction of amenity

When we purchased in October of 2018 we were told community amenity would be completed by November 2019. Now we are told that Lennar is negotiating to re-purchase the development company which they sold last October because new developer now says they will not complete community. Stalemate has been going on for at least three months. No date provided for amenity completion or even a commitment to build at this point. Unacceptable performance by Lennar.

The overall buying experience with Lennar very bad, you wont feel respected in their office. I could have responded them in different if i want back out for my purchase, but i liked the location Carolina Springs community. And later i was never interested to talk to them in any manner because of their behaviour. Construction manager is not even ready to do small changes while doing the construction even we are ready to pay for that. I felt their legal and construction teams are so worried on their quality of work that preventing them taking these kind of small works. I will recommend this ...
