Lennar home buying experience is worst.

My experience with Lennar has been very disappointing from the very beginning. The construction manager has refused to acknowledge or address the issues I raised during the construction period. He has not been willing to fix or even properly consider the problems. The landscaping is extremely poor, making my backyard completely unusable. The yard is sloped badly, and water does not drain for more than a week after rain. Despite raising this concern multiple times, Lennar handed over the house in this condition and has done nothing to improve it—not even simple fixes. I am paying a ...

Lenner drives to be a builder who cares about buyer experiences and this has hired buyer concierge and new home celebrations etc, but in really it doesn’t matter and the same old working model and vendor management is in place. Construction Manager pushes things to vendors and don’t follow up properly to ensure the issues are taken care off. New home celebration guy just shows up to make paint touch ups. People put hard earned money into these investments - do you think it is a joke?

Lennar should work on improving construction quality. Builder’s quality check is a joke. Construction managers waits till the last moment or goes beyond closing of the house to perform the required corrections. As a result - rushed work and multiple iterations are required.

Buying a new home through Lennar was not our first time building a new home. While Lennar promotes "high end" packages, they fail to look at the whole picture. For example, the bathrooms had brushed nickel faucets, however, the toilet paper holder and towel rings were cheap chrome. The brushed nickel bathroom lights are the cheapest builder grade lights. Our hardwood flooring is covered in glue, and they have not been responsive about getting it cleaned properly. Transitions between floorings (the saddle) (tile & wood) is raised and creates a tripping hazard. I hope moving forward the ...

In the seven weeks since closing, have had an electrician in the home three times fixing an obvious mis-wiring issue (no lights can come on in one room unless lights on in another room) and two electrical boxes that were backyard-rigged with no to code. Have also had support out to fix the water heater, fix property drainage issues, for windows that needed fixing, and still waiting on doors to be fixed (on a month long waiting list). Additionally, one section of the irrigation system was installed without sprinkler heads, and that issue I've been promised would be fixed three times, ...

Unfortunately, the items that we pointed out through out our building process were not addressed and then during our NHO and final walk thru all items were still not addressed and now we are 45 days since closing and we are still having to work thru these issues. Overall the quality of the contractors you contract with is below subpar and the fit and finish on the house is just not good. We would not recommend Lennar to our friends and family.

I've only been living in the new home just 4 months, and I have had many issues. My front door is coming apart because the weather strips fell part causing the hot air to suck in. I called customer support and I was told that's I use the door too much so that's why the weather strips are falling off. I've only been living in the new home for four months and I shouldn't have to deal with those issues. I have had to get the kitchen cabinet repaired, the vinyl floor had to be repaired...so many issues. The quality of materials are super cheap. The dishwasher and the oven are the only items I ...

Construction manager made this experience poor at best

To begin with, we picked the house and lot so not a spec home. We were told we had time to add options so the day after signing we asked to add a laundry sink but was told we were too late for this request. Same thing for laundry cabinets! I blame this on the on-site agent giving wrong info. Apparently once you sign, you can’t make any changes so know what you want beforehand. Our house had a roof and almost to drywall before we had a single meeting with construction manager. I made them pause until we had a predrywall inspection done. It was given to the construction manager right afterwards ...

Several open issues during and after construction. Materials and fixtures used are of poor quality. Landscaping is a joke. All contractors completing warranty work should be closely supervised for a favorable outcome. They love to cut corners and just get by. The reason it wasn't done right the first time was due to lack of supervision and quality control. Insulation is falling out of the attic and into our guest room closet through the light fixture every time the closet door is opened or closed. Patio door is crooked and none of the appliances were level. The garage door was improperly ...

Construction manager's attitude was rude from the beginning stages of construction phase. He never responded properly when we raised any issue with the construction. The sales team person accuses the home buyer as liar if we bring any issues we face with construction team or customer care team to his notice. Basically no one helps home owner instead point fingers at them for raising any issue.

They were extremely friendly and promised the world until the documents were signed and we were under contract. We were lied to about what was available in the area. The person who we had for the lending portion was evasive and rude when we asked questions. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. They ruined the new buying experience and we had to dig deep to be happy after all the struggles. Luckily for us, our neighbors seem to be friendly so there is our silver lining.

Many defects found from day 1 with majority are related to flooring, finishing and garage concrete slope issues which are not identified and given an option to blue tape to us at the time of orientation. Customer service has mentioned that some of them are supposed to be identified before closing and are handled as per the warranty terms. I wish the construction quality is better.

The quality of the house is very very low. It was my second home purchase and found very low quality material and definitely used unprofessional labor to construct these houses. During my orientation I put correction items, but guess how much additional correctional items they added. It was so frustrating dealing with all these and pushing further out to correct and looks like they will never get done. They missed a lot of items to install in the house. PAINTS ALL OVER CARPET, DOOR KNOB, Tiles, vent hood,

There are too many issues to mention, so I’ll name a few. First we signed in August 2018 for a “quick move in” and was told it should be completed end of October or mid November. Delay after delay. We finally closed February 28, 2019 and there were still some things not finished. There were a lot of careless mistakes, poor paint job, issues with things, paint on floor, bathtub and light fixtures, yard was not leveled as they said it would be - there was a big hill in the backyard that wasn’t there when we signed to buy the house and we asked many times for them to level it and they ...

In side Drywall filling is worse, we can able to hear the fan noise in bathroom from the attic. Even if the exhaust fan is on in any bathroom, we can able to hear the noice in Sittings area or in the Kitchen. Our Rented Apartment is much better in terms of privacy( we cannot hear the people chatting voice from one Bedroom to another.) When we first met RJ, the sales rep, in November, he told us that the prices had been reduced considerably because Lennar needed to sell all of their inventory by the end of December 2023, in order to be able to build new homes in Franklinton. He lead me to believe that the prices would go back up in the new year and that these prices were almost “too good to be true.” This caused “the fear of missing out” within me, so I was compelled to sell my home on Opendoor (the only way Lennar accepts contingencies), for a $30-40K loss. That would have been fine if the Lennar homes truly had been cut ...
