We had an overall very positive purchasing experience with our new townhome at Phoenixville Heights. Sean was a very customer focused sales professional who helped us find the townhome that we wanted. Bill was an excellent mortgage professional with Lennar Mortgage and helped us work out the financial details. The walk-through inspections were thorough and well done by Mike and Mike. The closing experience with Lennar Title was very positive as well. Opportunities for improvement include the concierge follow-up during our services which was not timely and lacking in meeting our needs. We are also not very impressed with the HOA for the community as they are difficult to communicate with and slow in providing needed information. But overall, it was a good experience and the areas where we needed the best level of services (sales, mortgage, inspections, title, closing) were handled in a very professional and customer focused manner. Contractors work quickly and not very well. Lennar should build their own homes. There were so many work orders. This was frustrating. I didn't expect to become a construction manager after buying a home. We should get a discount. It's unfair to put that on the home buyer with all the stress of moving.

Great offers and personnel support

The Johnstown area has a lot of builders, but for the price and quality, Lennar is on the top of the list.

Lennar is good there were a few things I was promised that didn’t happen which is frustrating

Safety Issue: There are NO railings on the walkways. This is a major falling hazard, especially for kids and elderly residents. It's an accident waiting to happen. Parking Nightmare: They gave 50 homes only 10 guest parking spots. That's one spot for every five families. It's impossible to have friends or family over. This isn't the safe or convenient community we were promised.

buying and closing were stress free. Got to walk house before closing and get problems corrected. one item not able to correct was that the hose bibs are in wrong locations. the front hose bib is on the opposite side of the house from the garage.

Overall It was good experience

Excellent experience from start to finish. The build quality exceeded my expectations, and the team was friendly, responsive, and professional throughout the entire process. Another HUGE attribute is Lennar New Home Consultant Matt, who is an absolute pleasure to work with — responsive, trustworthy, and genuinely friendly from start to finish. Made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend!

I have some complaints for the poor job and I don’t see any auction yet

Overall, construction is very cheap, down to the electrical sockets which I have never seen the likes. The appliances are another issue. They will not last long. I have never seen this quality in a new build. Very disappointing. You could have done some better.

Great home, great builder, great sales team, easy closing experience, a total one stop shop that Lennar has mastered. Turnover was easy, even virtually as we were out of state. Any follow up after buying, the sales and construction team were very communicative and responsive.

I was looking to buying a home near a friend who was also buying in the same street. I was told it was already off the market and to select one a few houses down. Once the initial payment has gone through I wouldn’t get much response from anyone other than some pictures of the development. At the home walk near completion I was asked why I never visited the home during construction and that I had a lot of trust by never visiting. I mentioned I was never told I was able to and I wanted to change the type of flooring from the very get go before sheetrock was installed to all plank with no carpet. It wouldn’t be an option. Then to find out the house I initially wanted was available from the get go and is still listed for sale as I type this. It was rude and I couldn’t believe I was never reached out to by changing even before any payment was done. As a former general contractor, I feel that these houses are probably better built than any other builder out here . They do need to pay a little more attention to final details like grout and caulking I will also add that the electrical switches. Need to be changed. They’re very difficult to operate. Otherwise I’m very satisfied with the unit. One other thing is they could’ve used a 3 1/2 ton AC unit instead of a 3 ton this is right on the borderline and gives you no room for growth.

Best experience ever in homebuying

Buying with Lennar was a nightmare. From start to finish the process was a circus. By the end of this adventure I was ready to pull the plug and start back over with a new builder. 100% would not recommend Lennar.

Attention to detail and follow through was fantastic

I don’t even know where to begin. I trusted you. I was excited to get a brand new home only to find out that the the workmanship is shoddy. My yard is a swamp and I have expressed my concerns about this for two months only to be pushed aside. I have had multiple contractors over to my home only to state that they’ve never seen anything like this in their life. I wouldn’t recommend Lennar to a dog. The walk-through was smoke and mirrors I couldn’t even concentrate on the issues only to be told after I close that sorry you’ve closed so there’s nothing we can do. I’m just waiting for my foundation to crack in half. I’ve put thousands of dollars into this house already and I’ve only begun to just make it livable and I haven’t even totally moved in yet because I’m scared too ... More

Overall disappointment in the quality and lack of empathy to help. Also being lied to about door molding length and clear builder damages. But guess it’s on me and my purchase.

It was worth the price

I hope I made the right choice. These homes are built very quickly with cheap labor.

Had a great experience buying with Lennar. We were looking for a quick move and was able to close in less than 30 days. Rusty was a great mortgage rep, got us a great deal on a home they were wanting to get sold. Locked in a great rate in the very beginning.

Working with Taylor was amazing. Unfortunately Taylor doesn’t manage all aspects of the buying experience. The financing and getting to close was a disaster. It seemed like this was Lennars first home to mortgage and close. The price we ended paying is probably “fair” in today’s market but I do not think the price the home was listed at and the quality that went into building the home are comparable. So many small things could be done that would make these homes stand out and most likely bring a higher selling price, for example update fixtures and door handles instead of the cheap silver construction grade. A little thought of outlet placement would have gone a long way too. In the end, we purchased the home so I can’t complain too much! After being in the home for a couple months it just feels like we took a step backward from our previous home. ... More

took a while to approve mortgage but worth it

Lennar kept me in the dark the entire process, only to allow my escrow to fall past closing date twice, inwhich later I decided to go with a different lender which got me approved within 5 days. This was absolutely no fault of my own or from not providing documentation requested. I was beyond responsive and provided everything they asked for timely. I was pre approved and nothing in my circumstances had changed. I’m beyond frustrated with Lennar mortgage and will not recommend using them as a lender. They changed my loan officer mid loan to someone who bless her heart was not experienced enough and didn’t know what she was doing. Lennar didn’t handle the loan appropriately and caused a lot of unnecessary stress. I more than qualified, they couldn’t pull it together. Their reasoning didn’t align with the facts either.
