Communication is Key

The buying process was ok but Lennar Title was not very communicative and I needed to chase after any changes to be made or to get info. The house itself was exactly what I was looking for and had the basic items tastefully done. If there was an issue, Lennar would fix it, but knowing how to access them was tough and the info needed to be gathered from sales staff. There have been some things that needed correction. Mostly, they were taken care of timely. However, some were not, so that was frustrating. Information needs to be shared better with new residents in some type of all-in-one ...

biggest problem was the appliances were not very well made. we have replaced almost all of them. people very helpful. dishwasher broke after using twice. microwave made noise. washing machine very noisey. stove was replaced only because we wanted induction cooking.

Everything went smoothly with escrow with only one non-major clinch. There was an issue with one of the water lines caused by the workers but this was fixed prior to move in. Overall the experience with the staff was good.

We feel that the interest rate incentive was a bare and switch. We were told we could get the 1.99% but then when we went to buy we were told we had to close by the end of the month.

so far so good with this home and community. I am happy with the environment and this home. quality of the workmanship is ok. There's a few things that could have been done better or at least with more care. For the price, it was a great value. Today was the first day of filling a claim for something and the response was quick. Somebody is already coming out in a couple of days.

We didn't set out to get into a new build, but fell in love with the clean, sleek designs and backyards at just the right size. Some things were disappointing (appliances and toilets on the low end of quality, walls painted with matte paint), but overall, we are very happy with our decision to purchase a Lennar Home. The buying process was easy, thanks to a dedicated team that stayed in regular contact and did not flinch at our novice questions. Purchase price felt right for what we were getting, but the cost to upgrade a blank canvas backyard was a big surprise - be prepared for that ...

My experiences as an investor have always been great. This time however, we were not able to conduct a virtual walk through. It would be helpful if other video options - such as, Signal or Zoom - were available to those who cannot use FaceTime.

I had a pleasant experience. All good up until the promised return of my deposit wasn't going to happen. I made a big deal of it, because it was promised and the day before my closing they said it wasn't going to be that amount. In their defense, when I made a fuss, they were able to fix the numbers and give me back what I was promised but not without stress and worry on the eve of my closing which pushed back my closing a few hours. I also found out the at the time I was in there initially they offered a golf cart to another home owner as a perk and not to me. I wonder why that is?

Our contact at Lennar has been nothing but fantastic. Would work with him or recommend him to anyone. New build home was built on time without any obvious delays from our perspective either. The final product has many finishing touch problems. Some are bigger problems than others: two lights have zero associated switches, hole in a wall, missing closet door, crack in another closet door with an arrow pointing to it (so it was known), paint on the floor EVERYWHERE. Hand prints on fresh paint, scuffed walls, etc. We were given an incorrect code to get in and no keys either. Little things, ...

The overall home-buying process with Lennar was smooth, and the home itself met expectations. However, the delivery-day communication was disappointing. The agent called around 9:00 AM while I was signing the contract. I returned the call around 11:00 AM, but the call was never returned for the rest of the day. This was the day before Thanksgiving, which made the lack of follow-up especially frustrating. Better communication on delivery day would greatly improve the experience.

The home is good - it was one of the first started and completed and it appears that the build is good, at least so far. Lennar Mortgage was frustrating with paperwork errors that shouldn't have occurred and staff who were inept. The Lennar salesperson acted like he didn't care as long as he got a sale. When the home closed, we had to go pick up our keys from a lockbox outside of the sales office. No sales person bothered to show up to physically hand us our keys, which was disrespectful to a customer who spent a lot of money purchasing one of their products.

Very happy with purchase. Few warranty items handled quickly by Mr Bell. As usual sales person pretty much discontinued responding after closing. The home was very poorly cleaned, especially the tile floors. We’ve spent hours cleaning and scraping junk off the tile. Do note that there are no ceiling light fixtures (at least in our unit) so consider you may have to add them. Overall very happy, but wish the cleaning was acceptable and you’d think they might put some sort of welcome letter or welcome kit in the home before you take possession. Great value however.

My biggest problem was the LACK of options. Stanley Martin built my townhouse and I had a plethora of options. Harmon Kardon in wall speakers, complete home surge, ceiling fan connections, gourmet kitchen options, Ethernet outlets etc. I got the option for a patio and the Ethernet that’s really it. Couldn’t pick our flooring/carpet either. It was suggested that I get a pre dry wall Inspection …I did and they found a lot. Also we were told we would get a fence….and no fence.
