Overall everything was going well. Until we handed over our down payment. Then it felt like pulling my teeth to get any questions answered by the Lennar staff. Their mortgage company was the same way. They were great till closing day. Then it felt like pulling teeth to get anything answered. Then out loan was sold off to another company and Lennar failed on multiple occasions to transfer the payment amounts and allocations properly. Our home has many cracks in the paint and lots of cut corners throughout the house that weren’t noticed in the inspection prior to. Many wholes in the drywall that just got patched over during building and not properly fixed. Overall not a good experience at all. Would not buy from Lennar ever again. ... More

Signed on the dotted line, lined up our own mortgage lender and attorney...poof...there went the customer service for Lennar's Sales Team member, Lori. No longer answered emails, didn't tell us how to get vital information regarding our home (mailbox keys, HOA info/login, etc). As soon as you use anyone but their title, mortgage or lawyers, you're dead to them & good luck. Make sure you do an independent inspection of your home prior to move in. Lennar will tell you they have an "independent" inspection but don't believe them. We found 3 code violations and multiple issues with our house, including water damage after their inspection was already completed. Post inspection and since moving in, we've found whole sheets of drywall that weren't properly nailed in place, unsealed tile, uneven and missing flooring/carpet, uneven doorways and doors that don't close properly/are cut incorrectly. The list goes on daily. The only saving grace thus far has been the warranty department. We've had two positive experiences with having major things fixed & if it wasn't for that, I would regret buying this house entirely. Expect to replace pretty much anything builder grade within the first year or so and you'll be much more in tune with the reality of a Lennar home. ... More

The buying process was quick and easy

I am very pleased. Yes, I would build another home from Lennar. We will have to showcase mine first. Everything between trades was very well organized professional. I would to somehow post pictures on what I duplicated/made my own; if anyone is interested.

Unfortunately, our home buying experience has left much to be desired. From the beginning, we encountered persistent miscommunications with Steve, who frequently provided conflicting or unclear information to both us and our real estate agent. One such miscommunication resulted in a $3,000 for landscaping that was inaccurately described and ultimately proved completely insufficient for our needs. While we are now living in the home, we are still dealing with substantial workmanship issues that were agreed upon to be completed prior to move-in but remain unresolved. These ongoing issues have significantly impacted what should have been a joyful milestone. Instead, we’ve find ourselves continuously sacrificing personal time to follow up and attempt to get these matters addressed. We are disappointed by how this process has unfolded and feel the experience we hoped for was taken from us. Overall satisfied, there are issues, but some they will fix right away, others they might deny.

The house was completed when I viewed it. However, I went through the home with a fine tooth comb looking for areas not finished to my standards. Found (1) item and it was already in the cut sheet to repair. Everything from the salesperson to closing went extremely smooth and I closed on the house in less than 30 days. Everyone was a consummate professional! Highly recommend a Lennar home to anyone.

I was not told the truth about a lot of things. The quality of the builders was not good. Once I moved in, someone left the floors so dirty full of mud and dust. They also decided to take a #2 in the owners suite. Lennar is so tacky and disgusting. After settling in the home you actually notice how bad the chaulking is, missing screws, drywall repair, horrible sod installation and garge door opener wires everywhere. Not to mention the warranty guy takes a long time to fix warranty request and keeps scratching the cheap floor lenar provided for this home. Very Disappointed

Closing team was responsive to questions and challenges. Settlement was long with more paperwork than expected. In spite of the volume, it went quickly. Could have been better had location been equipped with snacks and/or drinks. Maybe even something celebratory. Repairs and deficiencies are managed through a website - not sure how I feel about the presumption everyone wants to work on/with computers versus people.

I'm not big on writing reviews but in this case I will make an exception. Lennar really lived up to their reputation in the building of my home. I knew that from the day of my first walk-through. The items that I found that needed repair or follow-up were miniscule yet when I did my final walk-through they had been attended too. I truly love my new home and would encourage anyone even considering the idea of a new home to think about Lennar. They are first class all the way.

We had a great experience. Ms. Mary made everything so easy for us. We had looked at so many houses until I was a confused, undecided yet excited train wreck. Mary is so kind and professional, she calmed my spirit and made the entire process easy. She is one of the kindest people I've ever met. We absolutely love our new home

The sales people are very nice and helpful. They walked me thru the whole process and support me. The house is beautiful and we really love it. I’m really glad I was able to get it!

This is our first home here in SWFL and Lennar stood out as the builder who offered the most bang for the buck. There are a few things with our home that we do not like since we have lived in it for over two months now and that is the windows are complete garbage. Glass has bubbles in it and the panes are as thin or possibly thinner than a photo frame from a store. You would think a home in a coastal community would be required to have impact glass and better-quality windows but here we sit. I am pretty sure these windows will be destroyed even with the hurricane shutters up. Our electrician must have been having a bad day also because we have switches for our ceiling fan rough ins that do not work and basically control nothing. We have numerous plugs and switches that do not work or do not control anything. I am working on a warranty ticket as we speak so as long as we get that all squared away, then we will be better off. All and all the home is great. Our construction team was really detail oriented and overall (other than the windows) the home seems pretty solid. Future buyers: ask to upgrade the windows and keep an eye on the electrical work... ... More

House is great, dealing with their mortgage people was not enjoyable. You can buy better homes, better quality, but the closest thing that Del Webb had to offer was way more than 100k higher in price. I have no regrets, this is my 2nd Lennar home in 6 years.

Everyone understands that purchasing a new home can be more than more stressful things you do. The lack of responses from the mortgage team is very poor. Creating more stress for the family. There has been multiple issues with the home. The floors still look terrible. There are multiple areas in all the rooms where you can see the layer of cement still on the tiles. The master bathroom sink faucet were installed too far away from the sink where it drips onto the counter. Only two of the six low-voltage connections work the electrician has come by five times and not resolve the problem Most of the walls are not square. There was a drip under the kitchen sink that damaged the laminate on the wood. We still have a hole in the living room wall from the electrician because he did not bring the adequate tools to run the wire. There are multiple tiles that are shipped and not covered by the warranty after we moved in This has not been a pleasant experience when we thought we were buying a dream home at Brightwater community Lennar is a major home building company who reports quality, I would like to understand your definition of quality. ... Overall process was very seamless. We closed within 30 days and the team was great in getting all our questions answered and issues resolved. We are very happy with our purchase.

Spencer was the best sales person we met at Lennar. We would not have made the deal happen without his great help and knowledge. Also, Alex and Chris from the loan department were just as good at making this deal happen with their great help and knowledge.

The neighborhood is great, the layout of our home is perfect but the finishes are cheap and 2 months in, we are finding so many things wrong. We’ll be making a warranty claim very soon. Cracked tiles, holes where there shouldn’t be holes in the walls. Outlets that won’t hold a plug and are useless. The house was given to us with dirty floors, dirty bathrooms and bugs everywhere. Through hard work and long hours, we cleaned it up and made it nice. After we get Stuff fixed through warranty, I’ll be much happier with our new home.

Very bad customer service, poor quality of paint used interior and exterior. Lennar mortgage process is disappointing, homes are appraised less than sale price, limited options for customers to choose upgrades. overall house buying experience is not satisfactory.

Having a problem because Lennar's criteria for room temps for a two story is not good. I thought heat rose. Upstairs is cold. Won't move thermostat upstairs for me so it's going to cost me at least $200, plus patching walls. Spent a lit of money for this home I don't think I'm asking to much to be warmer upstairs

The purchase of our new home when smoothly. All of the Lennar agents and staff were very helpful in the entire process. They were professional and knowledgeable in guiding us through the entire house selection and moving in process.
