You Get What You Pay For

When it compares to other homes in the area, you get more square footage for less with Lennar, but the quality is much poorer. There are obvious design flaws throughout the home (we were told they were drawn into the plan that way so there is nothing they can do), and the sub-contractors for the most part took several short cuts. Occasionally, the Customer Care team responds to Warranty items, but not all the time. And when they do, they set a date and time for a sub to come repair the issue, and then the sub never shows up. They don't even give a courtesy call to let you know. The sales ...

We are now almost 5 months after our close and still have multiple issues which need to be addressed. We have tried to have a door replaced for months but either the door is delivered damaged, the hardware is not correct, the painter comes with the wrong color, etc. We have had the entire electric box replaced, the slider was a problem before and after the closing. The air conditioner was wired incorrectly and we have had a multitude of other issues. It has been exhausting and ruined our experience of buying a new home. The subcontractors lack quality in their work and often make things ...

The house showed very well but follow through is so poor. Once we moved in and issues arose their team put us in the back burner. The construction manager has very little resources and escrow items needed take forever. Get as many issues as possible squared away before you buy and give them your money

I put in a service call for the countertops to be fixed and the first company agreed that the countertops were cracked then the lennar construction manager came and said that he would take a look at it and see what lennar wanted to do about it. I later received a letter to sign that they address the issue and that the countertop was not cracked. You can see it crystal clear that is not a natural crack. I am very upset about this problem and I don't know if I will ever buy another home with the lennar. Or recommend to anyone unless this issue is resolved. In addition one part of the living ...

Location was awesome. It was a lot cheaper than a custom home. It was painful to be ripped off and know only recourse was to walk away from a nice house. Fixtures standard low budget builder grade items. Workmanship adequate to substandard. No choices or deviations from master plan. Understand have bought a “house in a box”, meaning the absentee builder or franchise operator purchased plans and hired local labor to execute. Lennar Builders - Disappointed

  • Sally A.

We are disappointed in the lack of care presented by Lennar. We we’re given a “book” at our final walk through that covers what Lennar will and will not cover in the warranty period (before closing and after closing). If we had seen this before deciding to build here, we would have most likely walked away. We have had to take care of several issues at our own expense which leads us to believe that they don’t care about customer satisfaction. Issues like a French drain in our back yard because five houses drain into it and it stayed wet multiple days following a rainy day. No heat/cooling vent ...

I had an amazing experience with the salesperson and the Mortgage company when buying my home but the quality and craftsmanship of the home is very poor. I have had nothing but issues since the purchase of the home. the major issues I have is water getting into my homes from the roof and window. this has been an ongoing issue that I thought was fix but as of today with the rain, I found out its not. I am totally frustrated and can't seem to get in contact with anyone high up in the company. I would not recommend the purchase of a lennar home.

After five work orders and two telephone calls over a months time. i am still unable to use my kitchen sink, garbage disposal, and dishwasher. I had to cancel my house warming due to the lack of response from customer care and not being able to use my kitchen. Poor Quality and Craftmanship

Throughout the construction the quality of the work perform by the different subcontractors and the cheap material selection was obvious. The price paid for the house is not reflected in the quality of the different components of the house (Kitchen, Doors, floors, etc.) Lennar has a very good marketing department and with the story of being an Alexa ready house gives the impression that the quality is top notch then you come to realize that it is not the case. I do not recommend buying a Lennar home, unfortunately it is too late for me.

Several open issues during and after construction. Materials and fixtures used are of poor quality. Landscaping is a joke. All contractors completing warranty work should be closely supervised for a favorable outcome. They love to cut corners and just get by. The reason it wasn't done right the first time was due to lack of supervision and quality control. Insulation is falling out of the attic and into our guest room closet through the light fixture every time the closet door is opened or closed. Patio door is crooked and none of the appliances were level. The garage door was improperly ...

Unfortunately, I had the worst and most humiliating experience buying a home with Lennar. If they wanted to know about my two-year consecutive employment history, why didn't they ask me at the beginning? I understand that the FHA process is rigorous, but the procedure adopted by Lennar was terrible. I have never been so disrespected regarding my professional career as I was during this purchase process. Lennar asked me how I got a job at an American company if I had no “recent” experience in business or team management. Have they never heard that when a professional moves to another ...

They don’t follow their own craftsmanship guidelines and instead do patch jobs that make things look worse. Spent time with the rep taping quality issues in the house just to have someone else come in and rip the tape off without ever fixing. At the final walk through I mentioned how nothing was even fixed and the guy didn’t care. They know that their contract forces you to close on an unfinished house. Lennar has gone downhill from what they used to be.

I had high hopes when I purchased my home from Lennar, but unfortunately, the experience during and after closing has been very disappointing. 1. Seller’s Credit Issue at Closing: Lennar attempted to reduce the agreed-upon seller credit at the last minute, just before closing.
