Sales guy wasn’t truthful. Townhome was not move-in ready. Follow up getting things fixed has been painful. President of Coastal Carolina was non-responsive. On-site builder Scott is truly a nice guy trying his hardest.

The Lennar purchasing experience is a never ending resubmitting of paperwork, seemed like on a daily basis. The interfacing with the utility providers appeared to have never happened. Delays on water/sewer, because the proper forms weren't filed, the CATV took a month to get installed. Electricity was the only one not causing a problem, because they already had it turned on. Even after the sale, they kept contacting us for forms they lost somehow. Professional is not in their vocabulary. The sod in the yard is the worst job I've ever seen. Lennar - Home was dirty on move-in day - countertops, flooring and carpets.

Home was dirty on move-in day - countertops, flooring and carpets. No hot water for a week. Sliding glass door wouldn't stay locked. Garage floor had globs of mudding all over. No one to go over all the tech installed. Now there's mice. Called exterminator. Lennar customer care doesn't want to take any responsibility.

Really bad attitude of the construction manager, area manager and the VP of construction

Lennar messed up on the grass installation date that led to ALL the grass dying that Lennar had installed . I went by my verbal conversation with Kyle because I trusted him. When things went wrong he and the managers either went mute or told me to show something in written otherwise they can’t do anything. My total expenditure for this goof up is $3.5k!! Shane started telling me all about when the grass needs to be installed that Kyle or no one else mentioned when they should have. They don’t do anything over the bare minimum… unless you want to pay an arm and a leg. Avoid Lennar, Lennar Mortgage, and Lennar Title they’re all equally as bad and have horrendous customer service.

Abysmal experience with builder. Beware. Over 30 items on our punch list were ignored or halfway completed to satisfaction. Should have been a great experience as this was supposed to be my "last" home purchase in this 55 and older community. Instead, it was defeating and super stressful.

We had flooring issues and although I appreciate Lennar taking care of the issue our baseboards and walls were destroyed in the process. We were told painters cannot be scheduled until January and the damage is beyond what paint can fix. We had to do a key release for a week while the work was being done which is fine but the workers used our spare restroom and soiled our bath mats past being able to be cleaned and left urine stains on our toilet. Very difficult to get repair work completed. We also have a common area behind our property that we were told would be cleaned up and landscaped when we closed. We have been in our home for 4 months and cannot get the area cleaned up. It is very embarrassing.

The only thing good about our experience with Lennar was the sales rep. She was very nice and extremely responsive and helpful. Once we closed on the house, Lennar seemed to not care at all. They got their money and they wiped their hands of us. There have been so many issues already. We've been in the home only 4 months and have had to make a claim with warranty over 10+ times. There seems to have been absolutely no oversight on the build and it shows.

Unfortunately my buying experience wasn’t a smooth or pleasant one. The home itself is nice but the workmanship left much to be desired. Sloppy work had to be pointed out versus the workers recognizing their sloppy work and correcting it on the spot. The construction manager was awful. He did not communicate well with myself or the realtor; he failed to keep us in the loop of key milestones. Actual builder, Brad, is great! Super responsive and gets things done correctly himself. Salesman, Tommy, is a completely different story. He rarely if ever responded to questions or issues addressed.

Roof leaked after rainstorm. Many small repairs needed, e.g., painting, draws sticking, door locks not working, problems with pool fence, shelves in cupboards. Lennar Customer Care has been very good so far but don't know when leaking roof will be repaired. Cheap towel bars and hardware. This was a very expensive home and we are so disappointed in Lennar.

As a corporation you need to use quality not everything is included junk

The materials you use are embarrassingly bad. How can you put those super cheap showers in and not offer an upgrade. The whole house needs to be redone. The toilets even clog with just toilet paper because you got the cheapest you can find. The price was always changing using one for the first few homes then just raising it a lot more. Was not impressed at all about that.

Never Buying From Lennar Again
